The best restaurants serving Indian food in East Hertfordshire East of England

Recently arrived in the area, looking for a new Indian restaurant to call "Home" for the foreseeable future. Nice Inside, pleasant waiting staff, average food (travel extensively throughout India every year, we know our Bhaji's from our Bhuna's!!). Had 2 Cobra beers (Draught NOT bottled, purchase price from wholesalers equivalent to £1.59 a Pint) We were charged £8.00 a pint, so 2 beers alone cost us £32!!!!!!!!. I understand you want to make a profit of course, but by ripping potential long standing customers off will certainly hit your pocket in the long run. I for one, will certainly NOT be returning, and believe me....you have lost a lot of trade, I will give mine to one of the other restaurants nearby.

Impeccable service, authentic food! If you’re after delicious Indian cuisine then this place will hit the spot! Will highly recommend seeing it’s been around longer than I have and the quality is unmatched

As I approached this venue I couldn't help but see front window completely smashed in and boarded up this should have been a warning sign to stay away. I ordered a biriani and a prawn corma and pilou rice costing £26.00. When I got food home there was not meat in biriani and 4 small prawns.in corma . After complaining I went down next day and asked for refund but they refused. They said that's all you get in there portions. So I went opposite to a proper Indian restaurant just to try their food and the difference was amazing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BISMILLAH THEY ARE A RIPP OFF.

Great place and lovely food. They accommodated 4 of us at the drop of a hat, gave great service and the food was delicious 😋. I would highly recommend trying the Tawa dishes.
