The best restaurants serving Indian food in Oadby and Wigston East Midlands

Having lived in India for 11 years, Hinglish is the best indian restaurant food we have had since leaving Mumbai/Delhi. Visiting family in the area we had an early supper with a selection of dishes, perfect fresh spicing, not oily or too sweet even the paneer was the real stuff, Really cannot recommend Hinglish highly enough. Standout dishes for us were the specials starters: Tandoor lamb chops, perfectly pink, paneer tikka, soft and super tasty and aloo tikki chaat, sweet, spicy, sour and crunchy .. spot on! For mains I had Butter Chicken, pilau rice, dhal makhani and coriander garlic naan, all wonderful and just how we like it. the rest of the family, from 11 yrs upwards had a variety of other dishes all of which were brilliant. Although simple inside, the restaurant is clean and fresh and the wall mural depicting the journey from Mumbai to UK is wonderful. Mahendra, Priyanka and their staff provide a great service and lovely friendly atmosphere, their knowledge and enthusiasm for food is fantastic. Learning his trade at a top hotel in Mumbai I am pretty sure Mahendras’ continental breakfast offerings will be a treat which we cant wait to try on our next visit. Our first visit but now our go to restaurant on future family visits, Great job guys, we loved it !

We celebrated Christmas day by having out Christmas dinner here, Gorkha catered for all of us, some of whom are vegetarian, others vegan and one of our party has gluten intolerance. There was something for each of us meat eaters too! The menu was well thought out and the food was delicious and served piping hot freshly cooked. Children were welcomed and were made a fuss of by the staff which was lovely! We had a wonderful dining experience, we went to Gorkha last Christmas, this Christmas and am sure we will be back for next Christmas, and visits before too! Many thanks to all the staff for such a wonderful Christmas Lunch.

Food was nice but small portions. Service was average. Wait times were unacceptable and staff unapologetic for that. We won't be returning

We have been coming here for years and we are still being welcomed by the same lovely owners of this long established business. 😊 The food is absolutely fantastic and it’s alway great to confidently try new things . The staff are so welcoming ,helpful and friendly. As a beer reviewer for a hobby , I have to say they deliver one of the best pints of Guinness in Leicester even surpassing Irish bars . Fantastic food , fantastic staff , a warm welcome and great beer . Their take away food is fantastic too and always gets delivered piping hot . Ticks all the box’s 👌🏻😁. Much love Speno and Janie

Excellent flavours but tiny portions and lukewarm.

It was such a great experience, just need to change the quantity of food it should be in big dishes.

plato Sizzler Tandoori es fabuloso, encantador finas y suaves naan panes. La gran variedad de comida en el menú y los precios son razonables. Los chefs solía trabajar en nuevo hostal de carretera que siempre nos gustó de todos modos. Pub es agradable, temas especiales del botón de nada. bien si vas como parte de un grupo, no realmente el ambiente para una escapada romántica.
