The best restaurants serving Greek food in South West

Food was lovely and you can grab a pint to enjoy in the beer garden whilst you wait for it! Good veggie options which we tried and I had the mixed gyros which was very filling and tasty. Halloumi popcorn well worth a nibble!

I visited York after a long time with my family and I came across a nice stand on a little street with a label saying LOUKOUMADES. I didn’t have second thoughts, I went straight away to buy. I’ve got two portions of loukoumades, one with honey, walnuts, cinnamon and a scoop of Vanilla ice cream and the second one with Nutella and a scoop of vanilla ice cream.. I shared them with my family and they were delighted!! They were so fresh and flavoured!! Also, the Greek girls that prepared and served me those delicious loukoumades were really friendly and smiley. I would definitely buy again from them. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to taste a little bit of Greece.

The size of the rooms precludes the employment of staff and limits the number of covers they can offer. The result is an intimate meal of many small plates. Delicious but crowded!

Little cafe/taverna in the old market. Chicken Souvlaki, Baklava and a coffee for lunch. Souvlaki was top notch, tangy yoghurt, crisp chips, well-seasoned chicken on a hot flatbread, and cost £7.50. What’s not to like. Excellent baklava and coffee too. Best food in Dartmouth.

Love Meraki. Great coffee and yummy food. They stock my favourite Greek fizzy drinks, so bonus points there. Recently held their first Gyros takeaway evening. Which sold out super quickly. Congratulations to Kelly and Akis for this!

Mum and Dad (Jackie and Keith) recommended we come to see Nick and his great food and we were not disappointed - the service and the food were outstanding. The atmosphere was so welcoming that when our taxi arrived we were gutted to leave! Will definitely be coming back very soon! Thank You Nick and Team xxx

If you want to escape to Greece for a great meal, come to Midosmer Norton! Nisi is a Greek restaurant run by a Greek couple. They cook with heart and tradition, which makes every dish special. They serve Greek wine and other stronger Greek spirits if you'd like to try them. We had the chance to visit with our friend for their 30th birthday. The staff were helpful and looked after us very well. It's a great place for a birthday, Christmas meal, or just for lunch. We highly recommend Nisi restaurant, and we will definitely return! Went for breakfast here for the first time in about 10-12yrs and was seriously disappointed that it was just as bad as the last time and why i stopped going. The breakfast had everything deep fried apart from the poached eggs. This is absolute laziness from the chef and from the business for letting this happen. If you have to deep fry your bacon then either replace the chef or don’t offer bacon at all. Deep fried bacon, deep fried sausage, deep fried black pudding, deep fried fried bread (which was so over cooked it just turned into dust when attempting to cut into it). The poached egg was incredibly watery so hadn’t been drained properly, the deep fried bacon still had pools of oil floating on it and was as tough as hell. The deep fried sausages were over done and tasteless. My wife had spinach on her breakfast and it was just bland no seasoning no nothing just bland tasteless crap. It’s just basic cooking that should be done but that can’t even be done by a very clearly lazy chef who thinks the fryer is his best friend. Being a chef myself I’d be embarrassed if this is how I cooked food. For a place that apparently offers good food this is a very poor advertisement of that apparent good food.

The food was piping hot and tasted amazing. I ordered the basmati risotto and there was more fish than there was rice which i loved! I hate paying for a meal and searching for scraps amongst rice. Personally I would have used Aborio Rice and it was ever so slightly on the drier side but the flavours and service were amazing.
