Went to the Tudor yesterday as I frequent on occasions. Really disappointed to pay £17 each and the portions were ridiculously small. Small amount of veg, not homemade roasties, nothing special at all. Very disappointed with the whole experience

Visited the restaurant for a celebration. Owner was very accommodating with a large party and we had our own dining room together. Great service and as a coeliac the choice of gluten free options were great. Food was delicious 😋

Omg went last night 21/08/2024 after loving it in may and was let down… eggs on both meals where hard , peas had been over cooked . Chips under cooked felt really disappointed when paid the bill and said about this the chap just shrugged his shoulders. Bit of an attitude

What can I say… this place came recommended when booking a place away with work. This is a proper homely place that makes being away from home for work an awful lot easier. Comfy beds, amazing wholesome food on offer for breakfast and dinner was cooked perfectly. Whether its work or just looking for a place as base for exploring Somerset I suggest you look no further.. And lastly… Gary and Amanda are great hosts

Went to the tudor for my birthday with my sons. It was lovely. The meals were great all delivered to the table at the same time and piping hot. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Best place in town.

Went for an early dinner not knowing anything about it. The food was really good with plenty of choice. Wines were of a good standard and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the meal the first time so went back the next night with another member of our party and the meal was excellent again. Friendly and helpful staff. recommended.

We stayed in the hotel, room 1, with the spa bath for 1 night. Room very clean, bedding and towels spotless and bathroom immaculate. Tea and coffee making facilities which was nice before breakfast. The breakfast room is very pleasant, and the breakfast itself was hot, fresh and tasty with choices to cater for most tastes. Kim R served us and was very fast, efficient and friendly. Excellent service from all staff, the guy who checked us in was also very welcoming. I would recommend this hotel, and we will return for our next family visit.

The Tudor was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad we went, it was a lovely evening! From the greeting and check in at the door to the menu choices and lovely, friendly staff. I can see why it's so popular. I'd definitely return and would highly recommend!

On Sunday the 14th February I ordered and collected three Sunday lunches from the Tudor hotel and restaurant Bridgwater. The food was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Another great meal by the Tudor. This time a fab steak valentines meal with a pud to finish delivered fresh and hot to our door. Great food and service as always.

My wife and myself have just had an excellent takeaway, well cooked and plenty of it, as you would expect from the Tudor. Keep it up and good luck to you during these hard times for restaurants.

We have been many times in the many years to the tudor. The hospitality you get from the staff is also incredible however it is Danny who makes it that extra special experience. The food-Their carvery is beautiful as well as the many perfectly cooked steaks iv had here. I have visited The Tudor restaurant several times over many years and it never fails to impress. Recently, I enjoyed the most amazing Brie starter and a succulent lamb main course. The staff are so attentive (particularly a friendly and bubbly gentleman who seems to be front of house). It was a wonderful evening and we will definitely be returning very soon.

Excellent place fully recommend, I'm walking the uk coast path and was welcomed in by I believe lovely elena with my big back pack on looking tired. I was treated well given a great price for room and brekkie.Room was spotless and the owner even bought me a small heater when my radiator decided to play up.The breakfast was delicious fresh but WOW what exemplorary 5 star service we all received in the dining room from DANNY he lit the room up waited on us with a huge smile, patience and kindness!!Best customer service I have received since my trek began in Cornwall. I phoned on the off chance of hopefully getting a table for my Son & I, very last minute, due to the Eat Out to Help Out offer. We were lucky enough to get a table & my Son (9 years old), was so excited to be eating at a ‘proper’ restaurant!On arrival our temperature was taken by the friendly waitress & we were then shown to our table. We ordered drinks & quickly chose our meals, they were in front of us in no time! The food was delicious my Son said it was the best chicken he had ever had & asked the waiter to let the Chef know. The staff were all very polite & helpful, whilst ensuring we were all being looked after due to the social distancing restrictions in place.We will definitely return for another ‘date night’ soon.Thank you to all of the staff for looking after us.

We had a group of 5 for dinner - service was prompt, food was very good, and prices are reasonable. Consensus is that we'll be back!

Jo and I called into the Tudor last Wednesday for the early bird menu, and had a lovely greeting from Helena Mouzoure, who we hadn’t seen for ages. The food as usual was fantastic and what makes the whole of that business, is how you are treated by the family. Mike senior had a chat, then Julie stopped to see how we were and Mike junior also came in to say hello. This is to me is what looking after your customer is about and you should all give the restaurant a visit when Bridgwater.

Firstly I went into Bar27 with a group on a works night out. We had been to a few bars previous and they weren’t to our groups liking, and we were recommended to try by a local. We all really liked it and stayed they for the rest of the evening. The day after me and my partner went for a meal in the Tudor, and found that the food and the service were fantastic. Our waiter (can’t remember his name apologies) was attentive, friendly, welcoming and had a great sense of humour. A 10/10 to him for a great job. The food was great, cooked to our liking and plentiful and the pudding selection was fantastic too. All was reasonably priced, and after we enjoyed another few drinks on the adjoining bar. Great restaurant and bar!!

Very relaxing atmosphere. Staff very pleasant zoe being a natural friendly member of the team Who all served good honest and very nice food. I would recommend this little gem of a place .

This has to be the best quality carvery around. Great choice, good quality and plenty of meat. If your not for the car very there are meat pie or a vegetarian option. Unlimited vegetables and lovely tasting gravy. You always get a warm welcome and service was very good. We all pigged out and had a desert to finish. Definitely recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment and eat at the time you want as very popular, carvery served from 12 - 5.

I stayed overnight here after a friends party and the eggs benedict at breakfast ere the best I have ever tasted. The srevice is excellent, they seem to value every guest.

A revisit after some time. Good reception and service. The starter of mushrooms is very filling and hot! The loin of pork acceptable although one chop was slightly undercooked for my liking (the rind was not crispy) compared to the other. Good portions and well presented. Can recommend

My Best BirthdayHaving been let down by another local hotel in Bridgwater, Amanda pulled out all the stops and managed to find us a room. We are so very glad that she did. It worked out very much to our advantage as The Tudor is simply the best!We visited for the carnival which was amazing.As we arrived at the hotel on the Friday afternoon Amanda gave us such a warm welcome. The bottle of fizz in the room was very nice and I enjoyed a glass in the bath surrounded by bubbles (too much information maybe)We ate there that evening and the meal was lovely. I am veggie and had a good choice. My hubby had a steak and he said it was really good. All of the staff were brilliant and the waitress who served us could not have been more helpful and friendly. I defy anyone to left that restaurant not feeling very satisfied by the meal.As our room was over the bar area we wondered if it might be noisy. Nope it was fine and we slept well.Breakfast was equally as good and really did set us up for the day.Honestly this hotel is something special. We thoroughly recommend it and will definitely be returning. Thank you so very much as this was such a significant visit and birthday for us xx

Had a group booking (22) with German friends - Carnival Day carvery, so a busy day for all. The welcome, service and food was excellent! Everyone enjoyed the meal - beautifully cooked and good choice- and the ambience. Our 12 German friends were impressed & thoroughly enjoyed it.

We spent a lovely carnival weekend at The Tudor Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff, who you could see worked together well as a team. Amanda sorted out room, parking, and all the little creature comforts, making sure we felt happy and at home. Dan was the perfect host in the restaurant- chatty, friendly, efficient, smartly dressed, and hard working. The food was superb! All home cooked (you need to try the Kelftico!) and delicious! We were joined by friends for carvery on Sunday, and again all very good! Extensive choice for breakfast too! Bill, the night porter, was a lovely chap. Very amiable and made time for us. All in all, a super hotel with a family feel to it. Highly recommended!!

The Tudor Hotel & Restaurant is situated in the town of Bridgewater in the beautiful county of Somerset ,we were visiting from Australia and our relatives took us there for a farewell dinner. The décor was typically old English and the menu was pleasantly varied, we all decided to have the daily special, steak and veges the steaks were cooked to each of our requests perfectly and were the best that I had enjoyed for a long time. The service was just as good as the meal and very congenial. I would recommend the Tudor to anyone visiting Bridgewater

We arrived late on Saturday (Carnival day) after walking looking for somewhere to eat, we asked did they have a table available and to our surprise they did.... The service was second to none, Bill bless him was running around like his life depended on it (Bravo), our waiter was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, the initial cokes/lemonades were flat. He apologised and immediately gave us fresh! Majority of us had carvery and that was the best I have had! My wife regretted the steak as she really fancied carvery after seeing mine. We are hoping to come back again when we are in the area. Fantastic service.

The Tudor restaurant serves fantastic homemade food. It is always served hot and fresh. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly. If you want good home cooked food at a reasonable price make sure you take out time to visit this restaurant.

Regularly catch up with friends for a Sunday Cavery. Followed by drinks, jukebox and fun in Bar 27. Brilliant food, friendly service, all compliment my fantastic friends and a good day out. We always book as very busy.

The restaurant was very busy but this did not deter from the normal service. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The lunch menu has a good choice of options to suit all tastes at a very reasonable price.

I attended a 60th diamond wedding anniversary meal.

Enjoyed yesterday, 7/9/19, with my Son two Gluten Free breakfasts. We did pre order to ensure sausages and toast would be available. The food was cooked to perfection, lovely and hot. The service was spot on and at £6 a breakfast excellent value for money. We will visit again :)

Fantastic. Walked in at 15:35 on sunday afternoon with the restaurant in full swing, the staff could not be more helpful. Taken straight to a table for one, and drink order taken within seconds. Of course being a sunday it has to be carvery, and for me it has to be beef, and what pieces of beef they were. Great first experience, keep it up guys

Went with my brother and two nephews. The food was good, the mixed grill one of my nephews had would have done two meals for me!

9 blokes at the end of a stag day looking for food can be quite challenging but the restaurant managed us perfectly. Good quality food, the steaks are very good, nice choice of drinks and all the staff with the tempera mentality that nothing is to much trouble. Perfect for parties or just a nice relaxing meal.

Sunday lunch for £10 per head for a top drawer carvery is the best in town. Loads tastier and better quality than the nearby chain restaurant equivalents, but for only a £ or two more.

What can I say from the moment we entered we where looked after instantly show to are table and drinks ordered taken Dan is amazing . We then headed to the carvery which was so much more a choice of four meats and two pies and a chef who was happy and cheerful and nothing was to much trouble the meal was flavorful and hot the only problem was we eat to much didn't have room for dessert but the menu looked amazing and looking around they looked as good as they sounded will be going back every week and be having dessert next time

Around twenty of the ladies got together from the bowls club , a meal was organised at the Tudor hotel the meal was great little disappointed with my meal was not told that a mushroom risotto I ordered was on the al a-cart menu & was there for more expensive than all the other meals can’t say it was worth the £13 pounds I was charged just rice and a few mushrooms & sauce definitely not the best . But the company was great

Was beautiful food!!! It came out as it said on the menu!! Proper pan fried chips! And the steak was to die for! And what made it an even beautifuler experience is that a handsome bold headed waiter showed us great Curtesy! He made a bowel as we approached our table. He took my coat off for me and shook the wet off and hung it on the back of my chair And kept us topped off with wine all night it was just bliss, as for the deserts I felt like I went to heaven.

We have been there before and it never disappoints we had the carvery which was lush, the place has a lovely atmosphere and the staff and service is top notch so all in all I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Good food in a pleasant environment in the centre of Bridgwater. Mostly steaks, fish, pies and other traditional English food but does occasionally make a greek offering. Good attentive service

Booked for a month which was ok. Then get a call to say they are closed that day because it’s a bank holiday. Why did they accept the booking? Have been using the restaurant for 30 years and they have always been a bit muddled shame as the food is good.

It was a one night stay for work but I will happily visit Somerset again, just to stay here a bit longer. To start with, a lady from the reception (Amanda I think) rang me when I was getting late, checking that I was okay and on my way. She offered taxi numbers to help me from the station. I ended up walking (10 to 15 minutes from the railway station, guided by google maps!) and found myself in a cosy room with a low ceiling and ornate wood work. The restaurant was full with families even though it was mid week and the aroma of delicious food wafted around.

Superb location, and excellent staff, great breakfast and bar. The room had marks upon the wall, but the bed was soo comfy.

We come here most weeks and the breakfast is lush and amazing value for money !! When you think its just £2more than spoons, its great! Always fresh and cooked perfectly !! See you next week

We have been several times for Sunday lunch and also the Early Bird during the week. The staff are very professional giving fantastic service and the food is brilliant. Would definitely recommend - well done!

This is definatly our go to place for Sunday lunch, or an evening treat! Excellent service, great atmosphere and food is spot on! Their breakfast takes some beating too!

The meal was satisfactory in terms of the food, however ravioli starter less than satisfactory actually. There was 13 of us, and one could not make it, however we paid our £5/pp deposit which was not taken off the meal. Additionally, one of the wait staff was negative about our group smoking and not being ready for the dessert order and she appeared annoyed. Finally, there was a disagreement about dessert that was not handled in my opinion well by the manager who was rude, and told us there was no way a member of her team would act in such a manner. Forego the idea that the customer is right at this establishment. Positively they took off the dessert prices and the £25 for our missing member, however did not take off the deposit paid by all of us. When I questioned in email and complained, I was told too bad. I have eaten and lived in other places in the world, and found the service the down fall of this establishment. Seeing how fast the next group was brought in, it appears they were trying to hurry us along, and this did not feel nice. Recommendation, don't book big groups back to back just to gain some additional profit, not a good Xmas feeling.

The food was over cooked not worth the money .they use to serve the vegetables on other plates but came out already served up I have been here before and and the food was very good all I can say they were very busy

Our weekend at the Tudor 9th to 11th Nov was planned to include quality time for my wife with sister at a nearby care home. Also attendance at the Remembrance Services. Regrettably on the day of our arrival my sister in law very sadly passed away. The staff were most sympathetic, their service throughout the weekend was very friendly and welcoming, food in the restaurant was excellent. Although our weekend was naturally overshadowed by a bereavement, we will keep fond memories of our stay at the Tudor.

I found this restaurant while looking for a quiet place for a meal and a drink (It was World Cup Fever; everywhere else was packed with football fans!) It was perfect - good food, great service, and good value.

We stayed here from the Friday until the Sunday for the Bridgwater Carnival. The room and cleanliness was excellent as was the "Tudor Breakfast" each morning. The staff worked hard to make sure that your stay was perfect. And it was! The hotel's Bar 27 was lively and on the Friday, had live music. As a carnival stopover, this place is on the carnival route in almost dead centre of the town. A front of the hotel bedroom at the hotel is advised as you then have a grandstand view!!

Went for a carvery. Lovely choice of meat turkey,pork,beef or lamb also chicken or beef pie. Well presented and good service. Carvery, dessert,coffee and a wine and lager for £40. Good value and will return as quaint old fashioned setting.

My daughter and boyfriend tooknow me to what I can only say was the best carvery I've had in ages😋😋...lovely friendly staff, nice warm atmosphere and generally very enjoyable. Thank you Tudor ... we will be back 😊😋 10/10

We were about to give up on Bridgwater, not an attractive place, in my opinion, when we found this restaurant. Excellent lunch menu with good specials. Different roasts ever day (beef on our 1st visit, turkey on the 2nd). There is a Cypriot influence and the stifado was the best I have had outside a Greek area. Nice beer and really good service rounded this off. So good we returned when we were in Bridgwater on our way home.

A party of 3 of us stopped off for Breakfast at 07:00 and we were delighted. Coffee, Toast and Full English for £6.50 and good quality ingredients. We will be back again.

Iv'e eaten here so many times now I dont have enough fingers to count, the service and food is always 100% perfect. The staff are very attentive and the surroundings are very clean and comfortable. If you have never eaten her before just ask anyone in the town and they will tell you just how good it is.

On arriving in Bridgewater on Sunday asked a local lady was there anywhere she would recommend for lunch. She said The Tudor was good —what a winner coming from Wales know a a good roast lamb and this was right up with the best. The whole lunch experience was most enjoyable helpful cheerful staff excellent meal and good value. Hope you manage to keep going for another 400 years !

My wife and myself have just returned after spending two nights in Bridgwater. The Tudor restaurant was suggested as a good venue for an evening meal. We ended up going there both nights. The early bird deal is amazing. The food is plentiful and extremely well prepared and cooked.

Travelled to Bridgwater on the train from London as I was working nearby the following day. This lovely hotel and restaurant is about a 10min walk from the train station and situated in the small town centre.

We were recommended to visit the Tudor Hotel Restaurant while staying nearby and we were very pleased that we did. In spite of being very busy we were fitted in without booking and enjoyed two meals from the Early Bird Menu that came with a glass of wine and represented good value. My homemade Steak & Ale Pie was very good as was the gammon steak much enjoyed by my partner. There was a good choice of potato and vegetables to go with them brought by very friendly and efficient staff.

Just eaten at the Tudor. Two adults, two children, one of which is a coeliac (gluten free). Staff all very knowledgable about the menu, with plenty of gluten free choice. All the food was fantastic and we will definitely return again. All food home made including the gf bread which was the best we have ever tasted. Would definitely recommend to all, coeliacs especially.

It was my first visit to the Tudor restaurant with my family including a child . What a warm welcoming on arrival, fantastic waiter who goes above and beyond with his customer service. Delicious hot bread to start off with while we waited for our starters fantastic specials for our starters, amazing main course again off the special menu . Everything fresh hot and very tasty . Puddings delicious, this is quality a la Carter food at a very reasonable price . Can’t wait to book for all my family soon when they come to visit . We went on a very busy Saturday night. The service was very friendly, rapid and polite and our orders were soon taken. Our steaks were cooked to perfection as were the vegetables, which we followed with scrumptious desserts.

Very large family gathering could have proved challenging. However, nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food, staff could not be more accommodating. Special praise deserved as we had to postpone our original date at last minute due to the snow.
