Olives Et Al in North Dorset

Although we are local first time in the Olives et Al shop. Good choice of olives either in jars or loose to buy in plastic containers. Nice selection of local made treats eg cheese etc. Some "different" food ideas. Great place would visit again. No cafe available at the moment.

Called in for nuts and olives, then stayed for a bacon roll, best roll in ages! Will definitely be back. Surprising what delicious things they gave here.

An excellent way to get small amounts of different olives in order to decide on favourites - and what a choice. Actually ordered online, and got amazing, prompt delivery. Will be back - maybe for more than "just" olives.

こちらで売っているオリーブ類は、大きなたるで現地から買ってこちらで瓶詰めしていると聞きました。 たくさんのオリーブの種類と、ナッツ類、ドレッシング、チーズ類などが売っています。 スペースは小さいですが、ドリンクやスナック類もこちらで注文できるようです。 外にもテーブル席はありました。 ライダーさんや、地元の人も買い物に来るような感じでしたが、お土産を探すのにぴったりだと思います。

This is a local must for us. Normally we would drop in for nuts ( which I can’t get enough of) olives , cheese and ice cream in summer. Today on a quiet day we had a late breakfast one bacon baguette and one bacon and egg baguette plus two cappuccinos . A life saver it was to stave off hunger. Their spiced nut selection is wonderful as is the olive selection but there is so much more. The staff are friendly and helpful so why not make a visit .

Great coffee and good for quality shopping such as olives, spices mix, cheeses . Unual wine selection.

There was such an amazing variety of delicious olives to choose from, the basil flavour was particularly good. Our other favourites were the Sweet chilli harissa almonds, Liberty fields dessert cider and the sweet chilli Billy jelly. There were some super cheeses and breads too. You could visit this store, fill a basket and go on the picnic of your dreams in the beautiful local countryside!

Whilst visiting Sturminster Newton we called into this shop/cafe for coffee and to buy some produce. There is free parking outside and the staff are really friendly. We ordered two coffees and sat down. The produce selection is excellent from cheese, bread and wine to bottled dressings. Very good value and some of the best coffee I have tried. Looking forward to a return visit.

8th September this was our 2nd visit, this time on our way to the cheese Festival @ Sturminster Newton, where Olives Et Al were also exhibiting. Freshly made bread smelt bread was amazing - pity you didn't have any for sale at the show?! Had to have 2 coffees before we left ! See you soon. PS the staff are super friendly and very helpful.

Great products, olives for every taste. Anchovies de la creme! Helpful staff. Went looking for a specific oil they used to do, unfortunately discontinued but the owner was in and have us a bottle he still had FOC. 😄🏅

Visited twice during our short stay in the area. You are able to try most of the produce before you buy and the quality is outstanding (so you pay an appropriate amount). Olives are amazing, jams are delicious and sticky onion marmalade is heavenly.

On way to the beach made our regular stop at olives et al for brunch. Fab place. Focaccia freshly made and delicious, bacon and Brie panini to die for. Lovely muffins. Only reason doesn’t get five out of five is the coffee isn’t to my taste, bit biter. Eat your way round the deli and in particular sample the olives. Awesome!

Coffee is the best food is so good and staff are helpful and knowledgeable.... especially gentleman called Ben who was able to answer all questions about cheeses and other products....lovely manner...we could so easily have bought the entire shop just listening to him. Very well run place ...shame it can't offer the same range of lunches as Poundbury...if it did we'd be there more often! Rare to come across such professional staff....

Been here so many times and just love it. The olives are Divine and so much choice. The salad dressing/marinate is definitely recommended and they are all yum...my favorite is the shallot & orange but you can't go wrong really with what ever you pick. They now have a mini area to sit and have a coffee and something to eat. The bacon rolls we normally get to take away are very nice indeed. There is a great selection of goods to buy for people who are gluten free also. A great place to go if you want to make up hampers for presents.

This deli has the wow factor for me as a chef. The olives are marinated on site and the humus and other lovelies are home made. An excellent section and not an arm and a leg. Well worth the visit. Enjoy..

This was a fortuitous find as we were in the area at another venue. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the small selection of sandwiches was welcomed and tasty.

Este es un lugar muy feliz para visitar. El propietario, Giles, obviamente ama el negocio y su personal de recepción es encantador. Divertido, amable y eficiente. Hacen el mejor café que he probado en mi vida. Las aceitunas son fantásticas - que creo que de un lugar en el norte de Dorset. Pequeña nota sobre Giles, un ex-funcionario del ejército. Cuando él era joven era un poco travieso scamp tales que él fue expulsado de su escuela por su padre, que era director de la escuela. Me encanta que. This place supplies several local eateries, food is amazing, plenty of free snacks to pick at as you walk round shop, their sauces/marinades are just to die for they really have got the winning formula here and manager Simon is a friendly guy, toilets,parking etc and even outside seating but remember this is their factory/shop so not a restaurant but still great place to pop in say hi, grab some of the best food you will ever have trust me I eat out a lot but their food is Devine if you want to grab quick takeaway during the day or relax at home and compliment your meal with their touch, great ice cream and meat selection also, Xmas time lovely hampers etc, pop in you'll be glad you did, only slight niggle is expensive for a shop but... First bite it's forgotten about.

This place has olives and more, everything you need to create that perfect out door lunch in the sun or a special picnic. You can also try before you buy so the are no nasty surprises when you get home!

I just love visiting olives et al. They have so much to look, gluten free as well as. The fresh pies rolls for lunch look amazing. Wonderful cheeses. Olives are spectacular garlic stuffed are divine.

This is great place to shop and have a snack. The shop is full of tasty treats , including dips, marinades as well as a great range of olives, bread, cheese, cakes and oils :all locally sourced or created by the team in the kitchen at the back or at their factory next door.The deli counter serves fresh salads, snacks and soups as well as sandwiches made to order. Their coleslaw is delicious as is their Quinoa salads. I shop here regularly now as it has a range of different foods to try. All fresh and tasty. Staff are so nice and helpful. Northing is too much trouble. Free parking and....you can also try before you buy as there are many tasting pots and dips you keep you busy. I will be back next week for my usual load of olives, bread, and salads plus , maybe a bottle of Dorset Vodka!

A great place to buy a wide variety of stuffed and marinated olives, infused oils and other deli delights. Delicious and all prepared on site. Great spot to do your Christmas shopping!

Visited olives et al many many times, one complaint I spend so much money on there wonderful food, plenty to choose from, fantastic choice of cheeses, olives in fact everything in the shop with a fantastic assortment for gluten free.

A wonderful shop in the heart of rural Dorset. I go weekly, spend too much money because everything is so tempting and, with the rest of my family enjoy the olives, bread, cheeses, dressings....the list goes on!We particularly enjoy the vibrant green Sicillian olives and my 4 year old grandson has been brought up on the pitted black olives! Take away coffee, sandwiches, pies and salads are delectable and so tasty.Wonderful, friendly customer service. Highly recommend this treasure in Sturminster Newton.

Worth a detour - even worth a special trip - especially when the Great Food Fair is on, but almost as good at any time, for the choice of olives (of course) and almost any other type of deli treats imaginable.

My only complaint is I spend too much money every time I visit, there is too much choice of lovely food (not just olives) and I can't resist any of it!
