The best restaurants serving Greek food in North West

Went as a party of 11 for the evening special. It was soon realised why the Taverna was full to the brim! Couldn't fault the place. The food was plentiful. There were no complaints about the food, it was fantastic. The staff were very polite and attentive. Can't wait to go back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Two Birds One Stone in Whitefield, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a delightful fusion of British cuisine, catering to a variety of tastes with their diverse menu. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcome and well taken care of. During my visit, I opted for the full English breakfast, which was cooked to perfection. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and each component was flavorful and satisfying. In summary, Two Birds One Stone is a gem in Manchester’s dining scene. With its delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding service, it’s a place I look forward to visiting again and again.

Without fail sokrates, the food, the people ALWAYS put a smile on your face. Servers are always kind, chatty, and super welcoming. It's a cute little restaurant that is always my go-to for dates with my partner, or dinner with the family, I've never had a bad experience here. The food is ABSOLUTELY heavenly, and you can tell the people who work there love interacting with their customers and really care about making sure you have the best experience with them. Our go-to meal has to be the mixed meze starter platter, which is a bunch of different dips and things to dip your bread into, followed by the amazing moussaka. (My all-time favourite dessert to take home is the Greek yoghurt cheesecake I can't leave without it!!) Really could not recommend this place more.

Excellent evening with excellent food and service

Comida encantadora y servicio. Lo que destacó fue el servicio, una joven encantadora era servicial y amable. Ella nos dio información sobre la comida, la comida estaba deliciosa. Sin duda volvería. Este era el restaurante Allerton Road.

Visité de nuevo anoche con la familia. Como de costumbre la comida es excelente, nunca nos han decepcionado. María y el personal siempre son muy acogedores. Bonito ambiente.

We were staying in Gosforth for a long weekend with friends, and ordered some pizzas from the Wild Olive. Went in to collect them and the welcome and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. The pizza's were fantastic, really tasty and unusual toppings. We nearly went for the Wolive, but were more than happy with our choices. 10/10

We visited the Rake last night, 27/12/24. We were seated straight away as we had pre-booked our table. We could see it was really busy so expected to wait for service. We were asked by a lovely lady what we would like to drink, we asked to see a drinks menu first. She went off to get it and never came back. After a wait, we asked a lovely young man could we have the drinks menu and he got us one instantly. We ordered our food on pices of paper(as you do) And handed it in. After a while, the first item came out, my oh garlic bread. Then one of mine came out. My son, who was treating us waited so long for his first tapas that our second dishes arrived. Not good at all. He got his eventually. I have to say that the food was excellent! Pricey, but well worth it. The wine prices are really expensive so be prepared for that. We had a great night with gorgeous food. Service was good, but a bit slow. Staff are lovely, rushed off their feet but still happy and smiling.

What a lovely place, just like being back on holiday in Greece, the staff are all very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Highly recommended, will be back soon.

Fantastic food, brilliant service, terrific atmosphere and drinks. Meze was just perfect. Such a long standing restaurant that’s always busy at the weekends. Definitely worth a visit. We have been numerous times over the years which is the best recommendation anyone can make.

El restaurante estaba helado. La pasta estaba casi bien. La pizza era muy pobre - la masa estaba sin cocinar en la parte superior y demasiado cocido por debajo. Un plato fue devuelto. Ni el gerente ni el chef se molestaron en salir y preguntar por qué. Se dejó que las pobres camareras se disculparan. Avoid.

Recientemente tuve una experiencia terrible en el restaurante Zorbas, y me siento obligado a advertir a otros sobre los graves riesgos para la salud asociados con la cena aquí. Todas las carnes utilizadas en sus platos se dejan en neveras durante siglos antes de que finalmente se sirvan, y es obvio que no priorizan la frescura. La situación empeora: cualquier alimento que quede al final del día no se desecha. En su lugar, lo reutilizan repetidamente a lo largo de toda la semana, mezclando la comida más vieja con platos recién hechos y agregando aceite adicional para enmascarar el rancio. Si se preocupa por su salud, por favor evite este horrible lugar a toda costa. La pulcritud y la calidad van más allá de las apariencias, y Zorbas se queda drásticamente corto en el mantenimiento de estándares alimenticios adecuados. He sido testigo directo de todo esto, y está claro que sus prácticas no solo son poco éticas sino peligrosas. Aléjate por el bien de tu bienestar.
