I've eaten at Pita Pit twice now and enjoyed the food both times. Essentially, this is a healthy fast food place. A selection of pita fillings (spicy chicken, halloumi etc) and a excellent choice of salad bits and sauces to bulk up you pita. Cheap, tasty, healthy and fast.

Friendly staff, delicious food, decent prices. A great spot to grab lunch around Piccadilly. It can get VERY busy between 12.30 and 1.30pm (I have waited 25 minutes to be served in the past), but if you avoid the swells you'll be chomping down a tasty filled pita in minutes. Added bonus: 10% Student Discount, excellent!

This place looked really good and I fancied a sovalaki.. We ordered and were served quite quickly.. Maybe too quickly as the pitta was cold and the chicken seemed underdone. The price for 2 and 2 coffees was over £15.00 I think a tad on the expensive side. That would all be one thing but I am sat here some hours later with a terrible upset stomach rushing to the loo and feeling very sick. i should have gone with my instinct that the chicken was under cooked.I may have been unlucky but it will be my last visit.

They pack your pitta full of healthy ingredients and you can choose what you want. The risk is that your pitta gets crammed to bursting but that means it's quite good value. It is difficult to spend less than £7.00

It's a similar concept to subway, choose the size of your pita or have a salad. Next pick a filling, your choice of salad and sauce are added to the pita and the filling goes in last hence the small portion. It's wrapped up and sealed and it's ready to eat. It was okay, nothing special and more expensive than subway.

I'm a frequent visitor and I love this place. Similar concept to Subway but unlike there the food is very good ;-). Huge portions, lots of choice, good quality and great value.Service can be a bit manic and a little chaotic although nothing a replan to the layout wouldn't sort, but you should allow 10-15 mins at lunchtime to get in and out as it's very popular around that time.

I have visited a few times during quiet times as the food is really nice but the place is so disorganised! Ordering a pitta is a mission and a half when there are customers in there... Seriously, how hard can it be to put some signs up showing the beginning of the queue?! Unsurprisingly, a lot of customers don't seem to know if they should order first and pay later or the other way around. Or even where to queue. Shame really, as I know I am not the only person who avoids Pita Pit during busy times. Having nice food is not enough - the service also needs to be good as I prefer places that have both. And you can easily sort this mess of a service out.

The pita I had was tasty when I eventually got it. It took about 15 minutes to get from one end of the counter to the other, which was surprising as there seemed to be 1 employee for every 2-3 customers. The staff were friendly for the most part, except for the person who took my payment - very sullen, no 'hello' or 'thank you'.The staff seemed to be tripping over each other quite a bit, mixing up people's pitas. The person who wrapped my pita, who was very friendly, made such a strange job of it as he folded and unfolded then refolded the wrapper a few times, before ripping half of it off.Drinks selection was very poor - if you wanted something sugar free the only option was water. They also sold tiny cartons of smoothie for £2.85 which is extortionate. I couldn't help wish, while I was eating my pita, that I had a diet coke to wash it down with.I found it amusing that a leaflet on my table declared that having so many locations around the world, they had got it down to an exact science. Not in Manchester they haven't.All in all, I'm glad I tried it, I always like to try something new, but won't be going back.

My office is a 5 minute walk from pita pit and so it gives me another alternative for lunch (the pleasures of working in the city).I discovered pita pit by accident, one morning whilst I was looking out of the tram window on my way to work. Needless to say I was there at lunch time the very same day.Two things about this place that struck me straightaway:1. The extremely friendly and helpful staff.2. Their food ordering and queue system.Pita pit is essentially a deli/salad bar/fast food joint, rolled into one. They are a bit like subway (only a bit though) but offer a lot more variety with a menu inspired by all continents of the world. So, I did mention the friendly and polite staff earlier. That's a great asset for any business, especially a customer facing one. Now I mentioned the queuing system, which is brilliant too.So, you walk in, get to the counter, see the big display board with the list of all the main fillings available and if you want the friendly guy/girl at the counter will help you pick your option. So, you've selected the main filling and the pita size and you pay straightaway. Then whilst your main filling is being grilled/prepared, you choose all your salad options that go into your pitta, with cheeses and guacamole (at no extra cost). By the time you've got all this sorted, your main filling is out of the grill, into the pita and then wrappped for a quick final toasting and ready to eat. This is the kind of assembly line experience that would make Henry Ford proud! On the face of it, you think so what. However this kind of arrangement means you wait less and this can be a big factor. Ask yourself, would you rather walk about and explore things in Manchester and clear your head at lunch time or would you rather spend that time standing in a queue to get lunch? The food is affordable, very tasteful, delicious and healthy at the same time. Combine this with the location and the staff, we have another winner here. I'm going back, again. As always I hope they continue to maintain these high standards for a long time to come.

...or in my case both! Working in the area PitaPit was recommended by a colleague, went once and now am hooked to the extent more often than not am in for a wrap for lunch and a salad box in the evenings. Some may think going to the same place each day could get boring, not here, with the range on offer, whatever you like salad / sauce you can easily keep things mixed up. What is great is you are also getting properly fresh food – the salad looks and is always fresh and crisp, going for a grilled filling – then it is grilled to order. NB to order doesn’t mean you wait an age, by the time you’ve got through the vast salad and sauce options you’re good to go. It’s a well-oiled service machine, serviced by an incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. There’s also a great variety of soft drinks/snacks/desserts available to go with your order, although you’ll find the original size pitta are filling option in their own right. With what you can pay in the surrounding area for a pre-packaged depressing sandwich, this offers a far better value for money, filling and fresh option, and served with a smile and a thank you. If you've not tried it, you absolutely should.

After two recent visits we have decided to avoid PIta Pit due to poor food and service. On our last two visits the que was horrendous. We waited and waited but in the end wished we hadn't bothered. The pita's were all stone cold, worrying when it is reheated frozen chicken they use. The size of portion seemed smaller yet the price had gone up. As I was also nearby for a training course it made sense to meet here,The place looks welcoming from the outside and once inside has a Subway-esque queuing and serving style, however that is where the similarities end. Popped in after spotting the place on my way back from a client visit. The place offers a huge range of pita options most of which can be served minus the pita as a salad box. I opted for a steak salad box. The steak was cooked in front of me which I liked and the salad selection contained the standard fare plus one or two more unusual choices.I had the roasted vegetables. My food was tasty and obviously very fresh, service was quick, the staff were great and the place seemed sparkling clean. I will definitely make a point of going back next time I'm in town. One final nice touch was the comprehensive nutritional info leaflet which is very useful for those like me trying to be a little more careful about food choices. I just had a falafel pitta from here, the large one cost £4.50 which considering the size and amount of different additional things you can have is really good value. You probably couldn’t have made the same pitta cheaper at home. Vegetarians will not feel like they have to settle here as there are good options available, the food is filling, and even though it’s really healthy it has the satisfaction that comes with junk food. The setting is nice, in a courtyard and away from the hustle and bustle with outdoor seating. The staff are enthusiastic and welcoming. If you’re on your lunch break and considering another boring packaged and flavourless supermarket sandwich, stop and give this a try instead.

The pita was full of excellent quality meat with tonnes of salad of my choice. It was made in front of me - Perfect. The second time I ordered a delicious tomato and basil soup - again very tasty and perfect for a lighter lunch break. The whole excellent was first class, and I must comment on the lovely staff in store. The person who greeted me on my second visit even remembered me from earlier in the week! I want to tell everyone about Pita Pit. The food, restaurant and staff are five star!

Went to Pita Pit in Manchester at Piccadilly Place for a meal with my wife and daughter and what a refreshing experience. Healthy food in flash which tastes amazing! Choice wise you are spoilt but I opted for the spicy steak pita which was a decision I did not regret. The fresh and original ingredients that are on offer to supplement your choice of meat (or veggi option) are very well thought out. The menu is comprehensive but not overwhelming and there are some nice twists on international fare to satisfy all pallets (my wife had the souvlaki chicken with tatziki which was lovely). The staff were friendly and very enthusiastic and the service was speedy with the general system of ordering well organised. The restaurants itself is clean and child friendly with lots of light and space with a modern decor. To compare this to Subway as in other reviews is, put bluntly, an insult.

I went with my two children (aged 11 and 13) - all three of us really enjoyed it. We all had pititas - the smaller sized pita, but still a generous snack. I had steak and the children had falafel and hummus. The staff were great and very helpful on what extras to choose. It's a great addition to Piccadilly Place - if you're in this part of Manchester and want a change from your usual lunchtime/light bite options you should definitely give it a try.

I work in the building above the new Pita Pit in Manchester and in the first week they gave out vouchers for staff to try it for free on different days. Weird that on each day they 'had run out of steak!'. Had to choose the chicken option instead. All the food is fresh, but the overload the salad and hardly any meat which would be fine if it were at SubWay prices but it's not, it's in the £5-£6 range which is expensive for what is a salad sandwich. Taste wise it's average, no better than SubWay, and if you hunt out the calories on the Pita Pit website, the claim of it being healthy doesn't really stack up with the 500-1000+ calorie range. There is a Fatso's Take Out up the road doing a full roast dinner for less than £4, and a million other options in the area that are far better value and tastier, so I can't see how it will survive unless the drop the prices. My colleague also was in there for over 10 minutes as they kept having to re-make her Pita as it kept tearing. By the way it isn't a pita like we normally know from a kebab shop...it is more like a tortilla wrap.

Having sampled my first pita last week I can tell I'm going to have some fun making my way through the extensive menu. I had the spicy steak with all kinds of fillings and some chipotle bbq sauce for extra heat - LOVED IT! Staff were amazing and happy to offer advice on the best combination of fillings and sauces - I'd recommend asking as they got it spot on for me!

I went to PitaPit Manchester last Friday. I had the grilled veggie with tzatziki and spinach. No small servings of the 'extras' and what an amazing choice of extras - at no extra cost.I'll definitely be going again.

Had my first pita wrap from Pitapit Manchester on Friday and loved it. I had Chicken Tikka with tons of salad and humous. All the ingredients were totally fresh and the chicken was cooked on the hotplate in front of me.Enjoyed it so much I went back a couple of hours later and had another. The staff were really good humoured and helpful - keen to suggest fillings and give advice. My second was falafel as a veggie option. Very tasty but I'm a died-in-the-war carnivore.Thoroughly recommend Pitapit.

Although the service was great, we can’t say the same about the food. We went there with hype for the music and the vibe but there was only one more table and no live music so it felt so quiet and with low lighting. About the food, we got the meze which came with greek salad but no olive oil!? It also included spring rolls (very random), a small falafel which was very dry and tzatziki which didn’t feel at all homemade. The chicken skewers and the keftedakia were quite nice but the rest of the food didn’t feel very fresh. Instead it felt like pre-made 🥲.

Didn’t like it here at all, the food came out within minutes of us ordering - which in most cases would be great - however we ordered quite a lot of small plates for us both to share and for them to be out within minutes was strange, the chicken tasted like it had been microwaved if you know the taste I mean, the portions for the small plates were tiny for the price, should’ve probably just got a main. Staff were nice, the outside area was cosy but wouldn’t come back in a rush

It must be getting on for twenty years since I first came to Jaffa for lunch. Then it was quite a rarity – somewhere on the “curry mile” that wasn’t a curry place. Now, those South Asian places are the rarity with only a handful remaining, their premises taken over by more recently arrived immigrant cuisines – Middle Eastern, Afghan, Turkish, etc. Along with a profusion of shisha bars. It’s still a vibrant strip of Wilmslow Road but more “kebab kilometre” than curry mile. Good shawarma and mixed mezzes are the key to Jaffa’s continued success and it seemed as popular as ever this lunchtime. We visit a couple or so times a year, combining lunch with a shopping trip to one of the large Asian supermarkets along the strip. Our order is constant. Lamb shawarma – a generous portion of tasty meat, a handful of shredded salad, a dab of very pokey chill sauce and a flatbread. And the mixed mezze – houmous, chickpeas in yoghurt, tabbouleh, chopped salad, chilli peppers, potatoes in spicy tomato sauce and a spiced yoghurt dip. We ordered another flatbread to help that along. Bargain lunch – the food, plus a couple of canned drinks came to thirteen quid.
