Bouzouki By Night in Manchester

Although the service was great, we can’t say the same about the food. We went there with hype for the music and the vibe but there was only one more table and no live music so it felt so quiet and with low lighting. About the food, we got the meze which came with greek salad but no olive oil!? It also included spring rolls (very random), a small falafel which was very dry and tzatziki which didn’t feel at all homemade. The chicken skewers and the keftedakia were quite nice but the rest of the food didn’t feel very fresh. Instead it felt like pre-made 🥲.

Lovely little place just outside of Manchester's Gay Village. Wonderful decor in a quiet basement restaurant with nice staff. The food was great and you can tell it is a family ran restaurant to which your custom makes a real difference. Definitely recommend!

used to love getting my lunch from here until today… chicken gyros usually takes 5-10 minutes but it came out within a minute today. the chicken was very dry and flaky, and it smelt and tasted rank… i couldn’t eat the rest of the chicken. im sure if i went back and told them they would have given me a fresh gyros but i was on my lunch break and had limited time to go back. disappointed they would serve chicken that’s clearly been left to dry and go off

Nice food and service in this long established restaurant. I remember when this place used to be bouncing in the late 80s and early 90s.

I always love getting the spinach & feta savoury slices, filled to the brim with decent ingredients, £4.50 for a slice - it is worth it for the quality, it fills you up, unlike Greggs ✌️ Lots of other choice of Greek food, definitely worth trying out! Good people ❤️

Very unique place with great food and welcoming hosts, live music and merry atmosphere.

To begin with the place smells mouldy, the food felt for most parts out of tins and something you get in a discounter and just deep fry eg the falafel had no flavour and was dry. The person who oversaw our table kept saying we would be served yet food was eventually rushed out late and no table service for drinks. We paid £38 pp and drinks were far too expensive for what you got. The music was fair enough but guests were treated rudely when making requests. Sorry but never again. I should demand a full refund and I don’t usually say something negative about a business. I would suggest less quantity but better quality.

We came for a staff party on 1st December. We are a remote business so rarely are able to get together. I wasnt sure what to expect from the photos I had seen online but MY GOSH we were not disappointed! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is fantastic - the staff are so accommodating and fun. We stayed there all night. It is an intimate venue with the perfect amount of space for dancing. Cannot thank BBN enough for making such a fun and welcoming event for us. I hope we return!! :)

Lovely little place. But the food was really bad. Not worth £30 per person at all. Im surprised they didn’t ask, as there was so much food gone to waste back to the kitchen as hardly anyone ate the food. Also my friend had to go buy coffee and give it them to make it, as they don’t have any. However the entertainment was fun afterwards. Wouldn’t book for a big group again due to the food standards. Very disappointed.

Had the best night for my mums birthday. Booked a table for 8 of us. Plenty of space. The staff are so welcoming and honestly they made the night. They made such a fuss of my mum she loved it !! We pre booked and paid for 8 Epic Meze's which was nice (was alot smaller portions that we expected for the price) everything was put on the table for us to share out between us. However the atmosphere & the great choice at the bar made up for it. We spent most of our night dancing and we cannot recommend it enough for the entertainment, music & staff

I am so disappointed. Ordered calamari as a starter and mixed Meze for 2. It all arrived at the same time at a rapid speed ( I don't think it was cooked to order). The calamari was passable but a little rubbery. The Meze was stone cold and tough , the chicken hurt to chew. Initially when it arrived we ordered a second one as it was small , however upon realising how bad it was we cancelled the second before it's arrival. The restaurant felt neglected, there were pictures up of it in its prime and I'm sure it was great then. We didn't stay for the entertainment as we didn't enjoy the atmosphere or food. On using the ladies toilet on the way out I was shocked by the poor cleanliness, if I had used them on the way in I wouldn't have stopped to eat. I really do hate to leave bad reviews but I don't want people to be as disappointed as I was.

Very disappointed. We were out on a table that wasn't set up at the back of the restaurant. Felt very excluded from the restaurant. The epic meze wasn't very epic. When the mousakka came out, I found a long, straight hair in it with cheese at the end. I complained. It was taken away and a new, cold one came. Whilst the different tapas type Greek food was being brought out, it was just very quickly put on the table and the waiter rushed off to another table. No communication. The waitress from Thessolonika was nice. We got a 20% discount for the hair thing but in afraid that wasn't enough to put me off the place forever. We didn't stay for the dancing. We took our two very tiny pieces of baklava home and gave them to a friend. I used to go to this restaurant years ago and I would say it's gone down hill a lot. There was also no lock on one of the toilet doors and no baby changing facilities. I had to help a new mother by holding her baby because of this. Not suitable for disabled people because of all the stairs you have to walk down to get to the restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic food which was very good value. A few mistakes made with incorrect dishes brought out. We also waited ages for our drinks due to them being busy desipte only two tables in. The waitresses couldn't seem to care less when we were trying to get their attention to pay and were too busy chatting away which was quite rude. The ambience is lovely and as I say the food and value is excellent so please just work on the customer service as that's all that let's down your restaurant currently.

Didn't have the chance to visit it at night but we had the best Greek pastries. Tiropita (cheese pie) and spanakopita (spinach and cheese pie) were simply amazing. Periklis is a kind and talkative person.

To start with, the food was good and we felt welcomed by the man who runs this place. Overall, we had a good night. There was not much atmosphere, for a Saturday night you expect a bit more of a buzz (rather than being the only ones there for majority of the night) we also emailed to ask when to book our taxi home and we’re advised 11:30-12, however we were asked to leave at about 10:30 since they wanted to shut, they had to remain open since our taxi was booked for 11:30 as advised. I suggest that the price is taken off the bottles of wine that you sell for over triple the price. My bottle of rose was 19.50 yet had a £6.49 sticker on it! However the male waiter was amazing and entertained us with dancing and singing. We had a good night, it’s a shame it was so quiet, with very little atmosphere.

We came last night Saturday for my friends hen Party, 30 + of us, what a fantastic night we had! We all had the £28 pound meze and it was incredible, absolutely delicious, and the moussaka was to die for as was the Stifado and Baclava! Staff was amazing, the owner really goes out of his way to make it a proper Greek experience after you have eaten , lots of Greek dancing, music , a comedian, then karaoke! Superb night can't wait to come again, thanks so much Bouzouki by Night 😁

This place is a hidden gem. Absolutely amazing authentic food, massive portions. Service was exceptional. Highly recommended. We’ve been to Manchester many times and bouzouki is better than all the central city Greek restaurants and great value for money. We will be trying the traditional party night in a Saturday on our next stay in Manchester 😊👏🏻.

Had a really nice meal, good size portion's we couldn't even manage the afters so they kindly packed it up for us to take home. Definitely will be back.

Very unprofessional and Disrespectful. I spoke with Photis to book a table and he was okay with the date (12 days earlier) and sent me the booking and payment information. Only when I emailed trying to clarify how much food do we expect in each Meze option, as they started recently doing two different ones and I was trying to order the right size, he emailed me back saying it’s fully booked. Why would you email me with information about my booking if you are fully booked? It sounded very unprofessional and disrespectful way to treat clients. He didn’t even apologise for it.

I have visited a few greek restaurants nearby,but bouzouki by night stands our as the best.We had the epic meze which started off with a selection of dips and greek salad and hot pitta bread,then came an array of different dishes including haloumi,spinach pie fallafil,spring rolls.Just as we thought we we were towards the end of the meze,more dishes arrived including,chicken kebabs,mince meat kebabs,mousaka,a beef dish ,meat balls,giant beans and rice.Just as we were all full and satisfied,theb came my favourite which was paklava sweet with ice cream.The waiter came to ask if the food was enough or if we wanted more,which is very thoughtful.Then the entertainment started,which made us all join in and all the customers had the chance to join in and dance the night away.We even srayed to noin in the karioki to finish the night off.I can't praise this restaurant enough.Thank you to all the sraff,and be sure we will be back.

Went for the epic mezze party. First of all the food was nice but portions were incredibly small and we all were hungry by the end. Service was very slow and took a while in-between courses as there was a big party they were catering for. Atmosphere was very strange, no music etc during the meal. Decided to leave after finished eating and asked for the bill. When we got up to leave they started the music and plate smashing - not sure why they didn't tell us this was about to start when we were paying. Overall not a great experience

Arrived on Saturday night to be advised we had to have the Greek meze, which was £28pp plus 12.5% service charge, essentially £31.50 each. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and was very authentic, it was also that warm we felt like we were in Greece!! The food on the meze was nice.. below was what I had as a veg option • pitta bread, humus and tzatziki • 1 x halloumi fry, 1 x samosa, 1 x falafel, 1 x veg kebab • Moussaka • fried veg (mushrooms, peppers etc) • baklava and icecream Had to go to the bar and order and pay for drinks there, so the service charge only covered them bringing the food to the table as we didn’t pick what we wanted. We also had to go to bar to ask for the bill. Service was fine, but not 12.5% tip worthy.

Absolute rip off! £28 for “epic meze” we barely got any food between 8 of us. We are SOOOO disappointed! Ontop of that they promised entertainment…. It was completely silent the whole meal for the entire restaurant and when we asked for the dj etc we were told we have to wait until everyone had finished eating ??? Please don’t waste your money here there are plenty t of great Greek restaurants with entertainment way better than this!

We stayed just around the corner and although the entrance seems tiny, the restaurant in the basement is great and spacious. No problems getting a table (Sunday) as a walkin; no entertainment (Sunday) but a really good gut-busting Meze waas had by both. Really friendly waiter, owener and cook. We were able to reminisce with our waiter (a Cypriot man) about time we've spent in Cyprus - so with the food and wine we had a great time. Well recommended.

We went for a Groupon deal and had a great experience. The chef came out from the kitchen and really made our night. He was a brilliant host, recommended certain dishes, checked on us regularly and made us feel like star guests. The food was delicious and plentiful, thanks for a lovely meal!

Booked the Greek Night Meze Banquet, or Greek Experience as referred to, for my Parents as part of a weekend away in Manchester. Food was exceptional and staff friendly. Was asked to come earlier than I booked as they were quiet on the night. No Greek dancing or disco as was promised as part of the 'experience' and very little atmosphere all evening. Would highly recommend the food, but cannot help but feel mis-sold on the whole 'Greek Experience' that was purchased as part of a Christmas Present.

I came here for my hen do last night and had a fantastic night. The food is fabulous, lost of delicious and authentic dishes and excellent value for money. The entertainment is fabulous and I broke my shoe while dancing around the room. They waiter even fixed it up for me before we left. His sense of humour was also great as he joined in with our hen do activities at times. Would highly reccomend.

Absolutely incredible. Restaurants always try to pitch to you that they are "an experience" and "like nothing else" but then you go in and it's... a restaurant. This is 100% not the case with Bouzouki By Night. This is something special and unique, not only in Manchester but I would say for the entire UK. The atmosphere is absolutely incredible, the staff create an amazing atmosphere by encouraging everyone to dance, teaching the steps and showing how to do it. We couldn't dance well at all but we had the time of our lives. We went for a Christmas event, so about the food: it was good, traditional, and there was a lot of it. I strongly recommend it to everyone that wants a taste of Greek culture.

Too many tables crammed into such a small space. Your constantly have to move to let other customers get past you. Food is good but very small portions for the price. The wine was very cheap, only costs £4 in asda but charged £20 for the same bottle here. Staff are friendly and helpful.

We went as a works Christmas night out. The food was very small portions with everyone still feeling hungry. The food we did have was of poor overall quality. The allergies was unclear too with someone being told pitta bread was gluten free! The service was very chaotic and impersonal. There was no table service for drinks with constant long queues to get served at the bar. Cramped tables and uncomfortable dining. The ‘entertainment’ was unimaginative paired with it being sexist. Cool tricks for the men and women dancing on tables. Doesn’t look like anything has been changed or cleaned since 1984

We went last night and while we had a good night overall, when dining it felt extremely chaotic. We were a table of 6 (3 veggies, 2 meat eaters and 1 gluten free), and when plates come out they’re just thrown onto the table with no indication who they apply to, what part of the course we’re on, or what we’re even eating. The servers themselves had no idea!? It was all very slip slap dosh with no care, and even one of the servers was dressed in a hoodie and tracksuit bottoms - not very professional and comes across like the restaurant doesn’t take service or presentation very seriously at all. You have order every single drink at the bar which takes away any feeling of being dined and looked after like at a regular restaurant, especially when we’re paying £50 each minimum. The food wasn’t great quality and no introduction to what we were eating from the severs when things come out. The only redeeming feature was the entertainment which was fun and interactive, if it wasn’t for that I’d probably give it a 1 or 2 stars. I probably won’t be returning.

I have been a regular customer of Bouzouki By Night and I've never had cause to complain until now. The pork souvlaki was 50% pork and 50% fat and it hadn't been cooked properly. I don't think I'm going to order anything from them again.

Was soooo good there chicken gyros first time we ordered them. But this time was way way wayyyy too salty & over seasoned the chicken sadly. Like really overwhelmingly salty & Everyone who got it said same (was 5 of us) Please dont but so much salt on, it's not needed🙂.

A brilliant night and experience especially if your in a group. They got the birthday girl and bride to be up on stage, they smashed plates and danced in tables. The meze food was incredible, only £25 per head and the food just kept on coming. Once dinner was over the whole resteraunt were up on there feet arm in arm dancing around the tables. I came here with a group of friends to try Greek food. This place is a gem in Manchester. They do 25 pounds banquet that includes just food, but a lot of delicious tasty food. You won't be disappointed. During the meal and after they do shows. Typical greek dance that involve customers as well!! If you are bored of only eat pay and leave restaurant, here you will end having an amazing dinner with a lot of fun

Dined here last night. Despite difficult circumstances, due to the aftermath of the recent weather, the restaurant provided us with a delicious mixed mezze platter and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Thank you again guys and we would heartily recommend a visit🙂.

Came here as it was recommended by my friend, we got the Mezze which includes starter, main and dessert, it’s a good way to taste a lot of dishes off the menu. Everything was amazing, so delicious and not over facing you! The staff were amazing and very accommodating, will definitely be coming back and recommending to everyone!

The best service I have ever received from a restaurant on any of the food ordering apps! Two items were accidentally missed from my order however after a reassuring call with the restaurant the mix up was solved in under 10 minutes! I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough and thank you for your lovely help and amazing food :) you’ve definitely made a loyal customer from me :)

Very well organised evening. Went for Cristmas meal. Tasty vegetarian food and plenty of it. Efficient pleasant staff, generous spirit measures and Greek dancing finished off the evening.
