The best restaurants serving Greek food in East of England

This holiday went back to Toni Souvlaki because we ate very tasty Greek here five times the previous holiday. We have been looking forward to this for two years and ate very well again this time. It was again very difficult to choose the extensive menu.......everything is tasty! The service is also extremely friendly and really Greek. We will definitely be back on our next visit. What an amazing find! I spent the first 27 years of my life visiting my Yaya in Greece This is the most authentic Greek food you can get. Amazing customer service and such good value. My friend had a delicious Chicken 'The Portion' and couldn't finish half of it, she saved the other half for her dinner! I had the amazing pork Souvalki. We both found our food incredibly good. I highly recommend trying anything from The Pitta!

Wonderful independent cafe, with incredible food and service! Service - owner and staff incredibly friendly and hugely welcoming Food - wonderful savoury and sweet delights - huge selection and great to have variety of portion sizes too (e.g., my mum was not overly hungry, so had a bite sized treat. I had a bigger appetite, so decided to have a bigger pastry) Drinks - coffee (hot and tasty). Have good selection of teas too. Wonderful little tables outside - great on a warm day.

Absolutely amazing cafe restaurant! Small family and friendly business. Had chicken gyros and then tiramisu, probably the best I ever had. It was that good. Highly recommend it for lunchtime or coffee and dessert anytime of the day. Will be soon.

Super fish platter, very good wine and lovely friendly atmosphere. A real old country pub traditional yet modern in that the cuisine offered is both English and Greek so is wide enough to suit many tastes. Many to feel very welcome and i summer a good place to visit after a long country walk nearby and there are many of them.

Tonight was fantastic! what wonderful staff and service, definitely worth every penny. My kids tried the lamb souvla, their weekend special. I had the stifado which was tender with a lot of unique flavours. This restaurant should be on your to do list if in Westcliff. The family run environment is a lovely atmosphere to be in 🙂

6 of us went to celebrate my mothers birthday. A lovely restaurant. Service was amazing. Food was delicious. A true greek vibe. Outstanding.

We had a fabulous meal for my father in law's birthday. The Sunday roast was fantastic but the stand out dish was the sharing meze starter. Great service and my father in law said the beer was great too. We'll definitely be back soon!

We had the mixed gyros’ and chips with their homemade sauce and both were delicious. The service was really quick and friendly. Will definitely be back

Great food, lovely service. If you want a quiet or romantic evening remember to check if any parties are in as it can be a little noisy on the larger/group tables!

Its shut now i hope it comes back i swear no lie they where breaking plates on the floor. There was dancing the food was very nice and great value for money. Hope it comes back.

TBH I wasn't expecting to enjoy going there as Greek is not really my thing. Turned out I was wrong and had a lovely meal. All the food for our party was tasty and the house red more than acceptable. Enough variety on the menu to cater for most tastes. Might even tempt me to make the trip to the coast again!
