The best restaurants serving Greek food in England

The food was awesome! We went with the mix grill for 2, and it was a lot of food. We did our best but came up short. Everything was perfect. We tried the fried halloumi cheese, it was awesome.

In a tiny kitchen the chef conjured up a bowl of delicious bean and vegetable soup. It was a generous portion served with chunks of toasted sourdough bread and piping hot. Just what we needed after the chill of a November day. The little restaurant is in a quirky indoor market opposite the Turner gallery on the sea front.

The food was delicious, but they automatically added a 20% service charge, which was especially unwelcome seeing as there was very little service involved - you pay at the counter, and go back to pick up your order when it's ready.

Visited last night this is a lovely dining experience. The food was superb and the owners and staff friendly and attentive from the time we entered to the time we left. First time visit but certainly will not be the last.

Had a fab meal here ,was recommended by a friend who lives nearby and as we were using her caravan just up the road decided to give it a try. Having been back from kos only 2 weeks I can say the food was better than some I had while there. Will definitely be back next year when we visit .

Delicious fresh cooked food with generous portions in a historical setting ( the old school). Very friendly service and as we were the last ones to leave we had the privilege of talking to the owners all about Greece. It was a really enjoyable evening and good value too! Would highly recommend.

Really tasty street food in perfect surroundings. The chicken gyros was fresh and delicious. Would definately come here again.

As I have coeliac disease I was not impressed when I saw the worker handling gluten with the same gloves as my gluten free meal

I recently had an appalling experience at Zorbas restaurant, and I feel compelled to warn others about the serious health risks associated with dining here. All the meats used in their dishes are left in fridges for ages before they are finally served, and it's obvious they do not prioritize freshness. The situation gets worse – any food that remains at the end of the day is not discarded. Instead, they repeatedly reuse it throughout the entire week, mixing the older food with newly made dishes and adding additional oil to mask the staleness. If you care about your health, please avoid this awful place at all costs. Neatness and quality go beyond appearances, and Zorbas falls drastically short in maintaining proper food standards. I have witnessed all of this firsthand, and it's clear that their practices are not only unethical but dangerous. Stay away for the sake of your well-being.

I popped in on the off chance with my daughter tonight - and what a brilliant time we had. Staff were so welcoming and genuinely wanted us to have a good time. The food was so tasty and fresh. Definitely coming back.

What a surprise!! This place is amazing!! The waiter was fantastic, he went out of his way to make our evening an enjoyable one. The food was just perfect! I can't fault this place.
