I'm very disappointed. The takeaway has a 4.5 rating, so we were expecting good quality. However, the fish was horrible. We ordered Haddock, which I.woykd have expected to be fresh, moist, and flaky. It was very dry and a solid mass. It had clearly been frozen and definitely wasn't fresh. The worst fish we had ever had from a takeaway.

Advertised rates are not what you pay if you want to sit down - the salad in my sandwich was limp, the customer service was interesting - I asked for a receipt and got told ‘you should ask for one as soon as I open the till not later’ - it was as he shut the till. Then the coffee arrived and I wasn’t warm and the barrister did not like making another one - for this price I wouldn’t bother

Stopped here for lunch- sandwiches were good- toasted Reuben with spicy tortillas with Pineapple drink was odd- tasted like ginger! With a overpriced cookie. Near a Costa so options for sandwiches and coffee!

Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city, my twin brother and I decided to drop by this Poundbakery outlet for a quick bite to eat, been here before, always had a positive experience and so it proved on our latest visit to here. Your typical Poundbakery ,interior is neat and tidy, glass fronted serving counters showcase the goodies on offer and staff here are really nice. We ordered cheese and onion slices ,served in no time at all, we munched away on our snacks by the Chester Cross, really enjoyed them, just what we needed to set us up for a good few hours. This Poundbakery is easy to locate along Bridge Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 8.30am till 5pm. Sunday, 11am till 5pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the mood for a sneaky pastry or three.

When to the wimpy in Loughton today 18.02.2024. 2 of us arrived at 10.05 only to find it still closed, not a problem as we was waiting for every one of our party to arrive. At 10.10 the front door opened and the staff member came out and was so rude she told us that we would have to wait until she was ready and to go somewhere else as there are plenty of other places to go. The rest of our party arrived 8 in total we explained that the wimpy staff member had been so rude so we went to a cafe in Debden and we all had a breakfast. If the wimpy can loose this amount of money good luck to them, as not one of us will go there again. Shame really as this reflects on all the staff. We are asked to support local shops so we will but not the wimpy in Loughton.

This place is an expensive joke, had a mixed kebab got 2 bits of burnt chicken 2 slices of donor and a salad so small it's not worth mentioning. Ordered a salad was a tiny box just with cabbage and a whole onion to top it off rubbery chips obviously had been re cooked. Called for half the money back after alot of persuasion got offered extra donor meat the next time I said there won't be a next time. In the end got offered a fiver. Honestly this place is so expensive but not worth it at all
