Pound Bakery Bridge Street in Cheshire West and Chester

Wot do you actually sell for a £ absolutely diabolical while in town carefully spending my universal credit I fancied a pound bakery pastie as I ordered a cheese and onion slice I was so shocked to hear it was £1.70 I had to steady myself my legs went to jelly I'm sorry but thus is clearly out of my price

It's called the pound bakery where most things are £1.40.i think a name change should be considered. The food is okay, nothing to write home about.

Never use again dinner time on a Sunday went in family of 4 run out of most hot pies one nice member of staff other no customer service skills bought 3 drinks and walked out and went to Greg's good selection and shop was 20 deep in people got everything we wanted no problem .the area manager should not be proud of this sjop

Popped in to grab some snacks and to take some sweet treats home from my short break in Chester. It has extremely competitive prices.

I was there few weeks ago with few girls from work. We were all served apart from one of the girls. We stood there for a bit and others were served when I asked for what we wanted a young girl said she's serving others and when she finished, she walked away. We had to wait for another member of staff to come. Very rude young person I will never go back there again. Stinky attitude.

If I find a Pound Bakery I am very happy. Great selection for all at incredibly reasonable prices. I popped in for a lunchtime snack and two breakfasts were soon sorted out during my two night stay in Chester. Very pleasant chatty staff as well.

Pub y bar dando vueltas por el centro de la ciudad, mi hermano gemelo Stephen y yo decidimos pasar por Pound Bakery, un proveedor barato y alegre de excelentes rollos de salchicha, empanadas y similares.Estuvimos aquí un jueves por la noche, obtuvimos un par de rollos de salchicha cada uno que eran absolutamente deliciosos, excelentes bocadillos para llevar, un bocadillo absolutamente delicioso.Muy recomendable si estás en la zona y es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Bridge Street.

Very good value but the basic customer norms of such as please when stating price of goods or thank you when accepting payment for food were lacking. Payment was snatched and thrown into till with no communication. A very odd way of serving customers 🤔.

Amazing prices for top quality, very tasty grub! I had a chicken club baguette and the sausage rolls were so nice, and you get 2 for £1! Could never complain about one pound bakery! 👌🏻

Sandwiches are always fresh and tasty and pastries very scrumptious. Never disappointed. Great value for money. Always very busy.

¡Dos empanadas para un 1 y me siento estafado!Simplemente salsa en la carne y la papa, pero estaba sabrosa salsa! Sin embargo, el pastel horneado de frijoles y salchichas consistía en una horrible salsa de color naranja (no era nada como la salsa de frijoles horneados) y sin salchichas ni frijoles horneados. ¡Sabía asqueroso y fue arrojado a las gaviotas!No estoy seguro de cómo pueden etiquetar los alimentos como tales cuando no hay contenido significativo en el pastel.No malgastes tu dinero en este lugar.

Came here for some french fancies and a tea. Staff were not really doing much but oh well. Just a cheap place for a quick snackaroooo.

This chain seems to pop up everywhere. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, and keep the busy shop running well. It is cash only though, so worth noting that there is a free to use cash point just across the road :)

Una sabrosa selección de cocina caliente culpable pero sabrosa, que se puede comer fuera de su bolsa sin vergüenza en la calle, mientras que semi escondida en las filas o con fuerza de voluntad, de vuelta en su coche. Recuerde limpiar las migajas si se encuentra con su pareja poco después. Si eres valiente, puedes sugerir una visita aquí para un regalo de cumpleaños o aniversario para probar su pastel.

Almost every time I’ve been in there the staff have been so rude. I am polite and pay straight away, there’s no need for it. This time I had an eye roll, couldn’t figure out what that was for. They call you ‘luv’ and when they speak to you it sounds very passive aggressive. Don’t know what their problem is but I won’t be returning again.

Waited 5 minutes to be served. Shop was full of people.1 person serving was on there phone...? Need better staff

I live on the Chester high street, and what astounds me is how empty this pound bakery always is! I always end up walking over to the other side of town to the pound bakery by Tesco. Regardless of when I visit, whether it's morning, noon, or just before closing the pickings here are abysmal. How is stock always so low? Also confusing how the tills are by the door rather than behind the glass counters as they are in most pound bakeries.

The value for money here is unbeatable. The strawberry tarts are beyond words - except perhaps perfection on the taste buds!

Whilst walking down bridge street, fancied a snack so popped in to place pound bakery for a couple of sausage rolls, they were adequate to fill a gap . This is not luxury food but a cook and take place. If I was hungry an did not want to spend a furtune on a snack Improbablyngomback.

Visited yesterday and bought two sausage rolls. We both agreed they were dreadful, the pastry very uncooked and inedible. We would have taken them back but we had driven away by the time we ate them. Would never buy them again.

Really good little shop. Has a wide range of savoury pasries and cakes, sandwiches and cobs. Great if your on a budget. Pick up a picnic.

I love the Pound Bakery their food is of very good quality and excellent value two good sized well-filled sausage roll for a £1 plus a good variety of rolls and sandwiches and when in treat yourself to a cake their pound cakes are lovely with a good variety I personally always go for the Maderia cake and priced at £1 I could not bake it cheaper myself also they make a lovely cup of tea! Pop in here on your way to the River Dee and bring a packed lunch to enjoy while watching the activities on the river!

2 pies or cakes for a pound great always fresh, staff quick at serving and friendly, great value will call again

Great meat and potato pie, cheap pop makes for a good lunch or snack. Would go again and recommend to anyone.

why pay £2- £4for a pasty or pie in Chester when you can get 2 of any pies or pasties for a £1 and cakes the same price or even a meal deal of a great choice of any sandwich or baggett with a choice of drink and a packet of crisps all for £2--£3

If you are in Chester and need a cheap but good snack, the Pund Bakery is for you. I get a ham bap with fresh salad for £1. I just don't know how they do it for that money!

Came here after getting ripped off for £7 at the next door york roast Co. Which tasted horrible. Got a pasty from here for a £1. Which was much nicer. Should have gone there instead. Bargain.

The staff are only allowed to butter one side of the bread and its not now a pound bakery same staff make the sandwiches and take your money no washing of hands - gross

The food is good and excellent value. The staff are very attentive so the service is very quick, just right for a quick picnic lunch.

Well I walked into your pound bakery branch on Saturda, and I fancied a bacon and cheese turnover. Unfortunately they were sold out at 10:30 am? ?? So I had to have the sausage and egg muffin. It was ok but didn't even look real. I popped back later and the service was shocking. ok it might be 2 for a £1 but you certainly Don't have a lot of choice sometimes I'm not impressed

It can't really go wrong, lots of pasties and cakes for a pound, great for food on the move! Cheap food on the move, for when you need a shopping snack!

I love the bakery for the quality of the snacks, the price and the service. I have never been disappointed.

With kids this is the ideal budged snack /lunch. tea, chips and gravy. literally cheap as chips. And Chester is lovely.

What can you expect in 1 GBP??? Apparently a lot... The pound bakery serves decent pasties wherein you can buy 2 for 1 GBP... The custard tart was also pretty nice and tasty... You can buy a quick snack and ask for a takeaway

yea its cheap and yeah its not bad food but omg the staff are so miserable they genuinly look and act like they don't want you there and that's not just this shop its all 3 in chester.moody and abrupt bad manored terrible customer service

The name of the shop sims it up £1 for everything sometimes £1 for 2 this is great if you're looking for a quick snack and looking for something easy huge selection my chicken pie was really tasty

Had a cornish pasty and a chicken pie for one pound each. Purchased two waters for a pound as well.This place is very busy and the service at the counter and cash register is quick efficient, and with a smile.This is take out only. The pasties were both very tasty. Great value!Would stop in here any time that I was in Chester and hungry.

Good cheap food and definitely worth the visit if you are in town. I've been many times and have taken friends from out of town here. Even gone here for lunches with work.

Not much to say other than this is the best place for a veggie sausage roll on the go. 2 for £1 on pretty much everything. Not exactly gourmet but it does the job when you're in a rush.
