The best restaurants in Micklegate York Yorkshire and The Humber

This cafe is so much better than anywhere in the walls and is only a few mins away from the minster! I live round the corner and feel lucky to have such an amazing place to pop into. I’ve sampled brunch, lunch, coffee, cake and the hot chocs which are incredible! More than anything though I love this place for being welcoming without judgement, whether I’m passing for take away after a walk/run, popping in with friends or hiding in the corner solo. The team are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The prices are low for the quality and they have a great pay it forward scheme. Thank you for brightening up the Groves x

Pequeño café encantador con un servicio amable y pasteles y pasteles encantadores. Paramos a tomar té y pastel. El servicio fue rápido y amable, y las tartas / pasteles eran excelentes. El interior es realmente fresco y peculiar, con bonitas ilustraciones en las paredes y una sensación artística.

Nos topamos con este pequeño restaurante fabuloso en el camino a la estación de tren. Hay una escotilla abierta si tienes prisa por un café. Entramos como tuvimos tiempo. El propietario era amable y acogedor. El desayuno de los rancheros de huevos era súper sabroso y el café era genial también.

Lovely little cafe, amazing food and friendly service. Just a little bit out of the centre of town but definitely worth going.

Llegamos para un almuerzo rápido pre-teatro mientras pasábamos y vimos el interesante menú al lado de la entrada de la tienda. Nuestros panini's eran deliciosos y las bebidas calientes se servían en las tazas más hermosas. Una taza de té que en realidad se sirvió caliente - fabuloso! Disfrutamos mucho de nuestras vistas desde la relajante y bellamente decorada zona de estar del primer piso. Tenemos la intención de volver para explorar adecuadamente los artículos encantadores en la tienda y visitar el salón de la planta superior también. Un lugar encantador!

I really can not fault this takeaway. I personally have tried nearly all the takeaways in the Acomb and surrounding area and this by far is the best. Food is perfectly cooked and portion size is great. Delivery has never been late and the delivery drivers are friendly.

I would definitely recommend anyone going to York to visit Rose cafe, great food, friendly service and a great location. We will definitely be back

El pin de la esquina está a minutos de la estación de tren, pero se pasa por alto fácilmente si estás corriendo hacia el centro de York. Tómese el tiempo para probar este pequeño pub tradicional y su fantástico menú de comida de Cater by design. El mejor Chilli que hemos probado nunca y ningún problema para el Chef que explica cómo hacerlo. No puedo recomendar esto lo suficiente

On the way to visit an old acquaintance in Leeds (yes, he is indeed the brother of a mentalist) I stopped off here for some fuel, a scotch egg, an apple pie and a copy of the daily express (it's a good paper). The scotch egg was acceptable but unfortunately didn't break down leading to an afternoon of attic flatulance which smelt like gas. I left my assistant to heat the apple pie thinking this would be a simple task for her but unfortunately when I went to eat it, the pie was hotter than the sun. This has lead me to review her £9500 salary. I was sad to read in the daily express that we are due a killer heatwave and that a certain previous prime minister had been found guilty of hosting a sordid bunga bunga party during the COVID lockdown of 2020. Upon leaving the garage I was granted permission to use the forecourt to turn round so that I didn't have to burn any of the fresh fuel I had just put in the Lexus by driving another mile to the roundabout.

Hay un menú de su preciosa en la diciendo que no son para el beneficio y que el dinero es invertido en salvar vidas. El ambiente era fantástico. Las camareras eran encantadoras. Jared en la barra era encantadora y tuvimos una buena charla con él. El tipo que lo dirige se llama Joel y te puede decir que tiene una verdadera pasión por servir a la gente. . Que salió a ver a la gente y la gente también eran felices con su comida. Tiene una comunidad encantadora que creo que es lo que va. Llegué allí, ya que ha abierto así que era agradable y tranquilo para empezar, pero pronto nos abarrotado. Sólo abre cada par de semanas, pero sin duda volveremos (probablemente por la misma comida de nuevo, era tan delicioso! ) pensé que sería como un salón de té, pero la iglesia de mierda en realidad es una cafetería preciosa, adecuado así mis expectativas fueron excedidas. Great plant based, zero/low waste and well located coffee shop. Very tasty food, friendly staff and good coffee.

My twin brother Stephen and I were waiting for the train back to Leeds from York Railway Station and in the concourse was a great cafe we spotted called Coffee Time and what a great find. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here, a light, airy and modern railway station cafe,nice decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe,a cool place to kill time waiting for our train. We ordered a flat white coffee each, served steaming hot, we just kicked back and went over the great day out we had just had out in York. My coffee was really good, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve, a really pleasant brew. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here before we caught our train and for a first time visit to Coffee Time we were totally impressed. Coffee Time is easy to locate in York Railway Station. Most definitely well worth seeking out if you find yourself in this historic railway station.

In an idyllic spot at the end of a road to nowhere, the Tickled Trout combines excellent sea-food with soft beds, luxurious linen and a deep bath. Their Queenie Scallops in a scallop shell was a generous portion of beautifully cooked shellfish in an unctuous creamy cheesy sauce. The haddock in beer batter was cooked to perfection and the panna cotta wobbled invitingly in accompanying strawberry gels and sauces. Delicious wines and attentive, friendly staff made the evening a really memorable occasion. Breakfast was excellent and we would love to stay again!

El Victoria Vaults Pub es un gran pub que siempre espero visitar en cualquier viaje a York que haga, un pub que ofrece una cálida bienvenida y sirve excelentes cervezas y, como beneficio adicional, tiene música en vivo regularmente. Este pub se ve excelente, un gran granero de pub, una gran decoración y mobiliario que incluye un bar de servicio y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub, también hay un área de escenario para las bandas que tocan aquí. Estuvimos aquí un domingo por la noche, este pub estaba lleno de un gran ambiente, había una banda tocando que tenía este pub rockeando, conseguimos una cerveza cada uno, estos se sirvieron en excelentes condiciones, estaban helados y espumosos, simplemente nos relajamos y tomamos el gran pub en el que estábamos. Mi cerveza era sobresaliente, lupulada, efervescente y llena de sabor, muy fácil de beber, era tan bueno disfrutar de una cerveza fría y disfrutar de la presentación de la banda. Realmente disfrutamos nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y, como en cualquier otra visita aquí, lo pasamos muy bien. Victoria Vaults es fácil de ubicar a lo largo de Nunnery Lane y definitivamente vale la pena echarle un vistazo si estás en la zona, el pub abre alrededor de las 5 pm y si hay un grupo tocando se llena muy rápidamente.
