The best restaurants in Ashtead Village Mole Valley South East

What a busy oasis in the village. We were just ahead of the lunchtime rush and very soon all tables were full. We both chose salads, mine was the daily special, bacon and avo. Hearty and delicious. We were tempted with sharing a cake or cookie afterwards but the portions are so generous, we resisted!

Really good portion sizes, fairly priced and great food. Highly recommend you try it if you haven’t already!

The milkshakes are always amazing here and the breakfast menu and food is great!!! The staff are always so friendly as well!

We had a family take away curry from here last night and never again. The food was so bland, tasteless and dry it was so disappointing. I would never recommend and will not revisit.

Naan and poppadoms ok, too much food colouring in tandoori. Would be better if the bloke from the kitchen washed his hands after having a Tom tit.

Whenever back home visiting family we always come here for a visit. Food is always very nice and does not go soggy before you get it home.

Chicken bites undercooked and small cod was very small and overcooked

Normally you are asked to sit and someone will take your order. So we sat and waited and waited!!! In the end I went up to the counter to order. Staff unfriendly and quite dismissive. Table needed a clean but as we weren’t eating I didn’t bother to say anything. Second time I’ve been very disappointed in Handley’s in the last month so will avoid in future if their competitors across the road are open!

Only recently discovered this little gem of a restaurant & I have lived in Ashtead a while. Excellent food, so tasty especially their sweetcorn cakes & massaman & the street phad thai noodles - delicious ! Reasonably priced. A nice quiet restaurant too, so if you want to go for a chat - highly recommend - some places are too noisy. The staff are all super lovely. The only reason I didn't give atmosphere 5 stars - a candle on each table & a slightly dim lighting would give this all 5/5. * One of my favourite Thai's *

Lovely food and a good pint of Guinness

An unusual menu with spinach noodles and pumpkin, things I've not seen in Chinese takeaways. Not everything was available, which makes me think there was a lot of fresh items, there's loads of choices and the girl behind the counter was excellent at describing them. This is the first time in years that my wife has said that she's enjoyed a Chinese meal, so we will be back.
