What a busy oasis in the village. We were just ahead of the lunchtime rush and very soon all tables were full. We both chose salads, mine was the daily special, bacon and avo. Hearty and delicious. We were tempted with sharing a cake or cookie afterwards but the portions are so generous, we resisted!

The service here was brilliant and the food fantastic. I had a roast beef and horseradish sandwich and it was so tasty! I also had cake which was really good. I highly recommend Rye Juice bar you won't be disappointed!

Excellent food quality and service. Can’t fault it. The area is really lacking in quality cafes and this is the first to break that tradition. Fantastic food and fresh juices (many other places only have bottled ones) this is fresh.

I met a friend here for lunch as part of the EOTHO scheme. Even though we deliberately met quite late, the cafe and outside tables were full, a great sign. But one became free quickly and we enjoyed VERY generous salmon and prawn sandwiches and tea / coffee in the lovely cafe atmosphere. Very proud to support a local business in these strange times

Yummy gluten free scones! Best I have had in England so far. So glad I discovered this cafe and so nice to have a treat. Coffee was delicious and my friend really enjoyed his milkshake too. Looking forward to trying more things and one day being able to sit in the cafe. Takeaways will work for now though. A great find! Very friendly and welcoming too..

I recommend this nice little cafe. It has a great ethos of buying ingredients from small local businesses. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The menu is simple and not overloaded with masses of different concoctions which works well and on most days there is a special which the owner makes himself. Generally the cakes are locally sourced from local cake makers which you can tell as they are tasty and haven’t got that mass produced feeling about them. The quality of coffee is good and if I were to be fussy I would say I need to order a large latte as the coffee shot is too strong for me when ordering the small. Take the ethos of the owner and support your local business the quality and personal touch beat the chain stores hands down.

I've been to the Rye cafe twice now, once in the afternoon and once for breakfast. Both times I was really impressed - a good range of tasty food and drink for a small cafe. Nice range of smoothies and freshly made juices as well as good coffee. The service is very good, Robbie is welcoming and friendly, and works hard to get food out as quickly as possible even when it's busy! Definitely will be back regularly for breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea!

This is the 2nd time I’ve been here and it’s great! The owner could not be any more welcoming or helpful. It is very clean. A great selection on the menu and always has fabulous cakes! It’s a breath of fresh air in Ashtead!

The village jungle drums had been glowing about the Rye Cafe so a breakfast meeting with volunteer colleagues was just the excuse to try it first hand. We were not disappointed. Service was friendly and efficient, the atmosphere was cosy and clean (loved the art-to-buy on the walls) and my smashed avo on toast with cherry toms (and additional local bacon) was fabulous. What a treasure in the heart of Lower Ashtead

A fresh, clean cafe. Small but very popular due to the ambience and the friendly atmosphere. There are normally 8 of us on a weekly basis but we can't always get a seat because of its popularity! A very welcome establishment to Ashtead.

Pearson’s restaurant at the Cricketers Arms is an absolute gem - you will struggle to eat this well at any restaurant regardless of price, let alone in such a warm, friendly and characterful pub. 10/1
