Great, simple and inexpensive but delicious pub grub. Staff were welcoming but genuine, dog friendly, and board games available to borrow!

Friendly staff, although food could have been better. Not many side options included in many meals i.e. chips were served but no salad or anything so it would be just two food items making it all a bit bland.

Staying w friends in the county of Surrey in England who took my wife and I to the Plough for lunch. Great British pub, went w a Steak and ale pie (a go to when I'm in England...have eaten a lot of these). Have to say, one of the best if not the best I've ever had. Lots of steak, very savory...brown gravy was also really good. Wife went w jacket potato w tuna mayo and sweet corn...went down a treat. Great beer selection too...two thumbs up to the Plough!

Great weekday lunch here today . Super friendly service and a warm welcome . The food was excellent - I can recommend the venison pie which was rammed with meat and just a little pastry - no cheap filler here! Good local ingredients in evidence . Beers from Pilgrim brewery and Harvey’s. The creme egg with our bill was a lovely touch .

Fabulous welcome, best landlady ever, staff attentive, food delicious, service amazing. We were passing on Mothers Day, and thought we’d take our chance. What a stroke of luck, someone had just cancelled. Amazing Sunday roast, with proper roast potatoes, good value, small and large options on all traditional mains. Think I may have just found my new local. Oh, and they still have their dart board!!!

This pub was recently sold by Hall & Woodhouse but thankfully the people that run it remain - they have been there for over 30 years. They are really old-school pub people - really welcoming and chatty. The ale choice has expanded due to the pub not being tied to Hall & Woodhouse any longer. So you'll find ales from the local Pilgrim Brewery, among others. Good hearty food here too. A lovely pub - unchanged, thankfully!

This is a lovely traditional country pub set on a crossroad with country views in all directions. There were people there with classic cars, motorcycles, cyclelists, and walkers, coming and leaving in all directions. It was a beautiful sunny day with plenty of outside shaded seating just outside the front of the pub or in the garden to the side. We didn't eat, so we could not rate the food this time, although there were plenty of customers enjoying food. There was a choice of around 4 different ales, some locally produced, usual lagers, and the staff all seemed very friendly and enjoyed getting to know you, even though we are not locals. There is a lovely churchyard and church just across from the pub, nice walks leading from this with easy routes to follow. It will be nice to visit again soon and spend a little more time enjoying the pubs surroundings.

A real pub! One that hasn't had the consultants in and therefore retains its charm and hasn't been painted grey. Just a lovely atmosphere full of happy people of all sorts on a warm Friday evening, excellent local beers, good food and games on offer. I wish they could bottle this and share the secret with other pubs that have tried to be trendy, alienated the clientele and destroyed the character evolved over many years. We will be returning on a regular basis. Well done to all the team.

I have given this place 5 stars because the food and the cost of it was far superior than anywhere else in the area, including Brockham and Reigate. The ONLY thing we would make comment on is the slow service. We have been here twice in the last week and on both occasions, even though they were not very busy, service was slow ... however, the quality of the food more than compensated!! Compliments to the chef ... outstanding food!!!!

The Plough is in a lovely location in Leigh. Out side the front and sides are plenty of tables and umbrellas to sit at. Inside there is a lovely bar area on one side and the restaurant in the other. We got the around 4:30pm or so and they were still serving lunch. My wife had the roast pork, while I had an all day breakfast (which was exactly what I was longing for all day). Both were delicious and the perfect sizes. For dessert the wife had honeycomb ice cream with toffee sauce and I had triple chocolate and Bailey's sponge pudding with a jug of hot custard. Amazing! The service was fantastic from the second we walked through the door to when we left, everyone was friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable for a Sunday lunch. We'll definitely be back.

Reviews seemed good so gave it a spin. Asked for half pounder with cheese and bacon & chips. Rather than be told they don't do half pounders, I was served up two super skinny burgers, exceptionally dry, nothing special, minus the bacon. Took almost 15 minutes to come out. Disappointing. The salt lid wasn't properly secured, went all over the chips rendering them inedible. No offer of replacement. Left hungry. Won't return, poor quality food and equally poor service.
