The best restaurants serving Default food in Pontefract North Wakefield Yorkshire and The Humber

Went in the restaurant for a change very bright and enjoyed it. great staff food was hot and tasty give it a go loved it

Unfortunately this place has gone massively downhill. I used to always get my sandwiches from here, I even remained loyal when they put the prices up as the sandwiches “were” good. However… recently they have been absolutely awful! Stale bread baps, fishy/smelly prawns, over salted chicken and limp brown looking salad. They also don’t accept card payments under £5 making it awkward to pay (not that I’ll be returning). The women there used to be really friendly too... I don’t know what’s happened there of late but they’ve become incredibly unprofessional and quite rude. Such a massive shame as this was my favourite place!

Only ever get fish and chips from here as it is the best. Really good portion size and quality. We missed it very much when it was closed during lock down!!

Best air-conditioning system around, currently on the way to hospital to spend five days in intensive care with hyperthermia.

This property has a large variety of available meeting, reception and conference rooms. Service and meals were exemplary.

Lovely little dessert shop, staff were very polite and friendly. A little background music would have been nice. Grandkids loved it

For anybody following a Gluten Free diet then I wouldn’t bother trying here. It’s suppose to be “Gluten Free Tuesdays” so you turn up at 18:10 to be told they turn the fryer off at 6pm!! What a joke for a restaurant/takeaway advertising Gluten Free Tuesdays.

Very upset. We had a staff night out booked for ten girls. Mistakenly booked the wrong hideaway we live 3 hours away. After paying a deposit and paying in full we realised, tried to cancel and she refused to refund any of the £400. I understand not getting back the deposit, but the entire cost of bottomless brunch for ten people? Feel as if we have been robbed. Mistakes happen and I cannot understand how this is justified or even legal? Would love if someone could get in touch regarding this because we are being ignored. No real customer service at all.

It’s been a while since I visited this little cafe but I was greeted with the same welcome as I always have been. This cafe may be small but its massive on service and the food is outstanding. On a cold winter morning like today I opted for the ham and cheese toastie and tomato soup off the specials board. I’m not sure of the actual price but I worked it out to be about £5. Absolutely beautiful home made soup along with the toastie both filled and warmed me for the day ahead.

Went for a meal as a family of 5 and 4 of the dishes were lovely. The goulash was lovely as well as the chicken burger and chicken stroganoff. Unfortunately the cobbler beef rib was not as good as it normally was -very fatty with not much meat at all. Overall though, food was okay and drinks were fine. What let it down was the lady who took our order at the bar, who I believe is named Gabbie. She came across as inattentive and quite rude and abrupt. Because she didn’t really listen to us, we were given the wrong drink twice (given pinot instead of chardonnay twice) also Overheard her talking about how she didn’t want to be there. Furthermore, she was awfully loud and obnoxious and we couldn’t hear each other at our table which was quite annoying. Oh well.

Had a lovely meal here whilst on a night out. Great food and great service. Very reasonable prices too. I shall definitely visit again. Highly recommended

Placed my order and it was delivered within 30 mins. Amazing! Thank you. Lovely snacks as usual, especially the cookie dough!!

Best place in pontefract by a country mile. Food always delicious and delivery quick. Fresh clean and quality food. The Piri Chicken is far better than Nando's.
