Went for bottomless brunch. Food was spot on. Service was great. Drinks came fast. Would return.

Love this place. Food is delicious and staff very friendly. Will definitely be back. And if anyone is visiting Pontefract for the first time , then definitely give it a visit..

We (6) visited at the weekend for bottomless brunch 🎉 and were very happy with everything. The food was delicious and the cocktails were plentiful 🍹 Jayne our server was so lovely and kept the drinks flowing. The music was a bit loud for a lunchtime but all in all had a fantastic time and will highly recommend ❤️ Thankyou for everything xx

Waited 45min for the table booked. Slow to be served drinks. Music too loud, poor quality food. Toilet queue and dirty. 1 toilet for female and one for males, not enough and dirty.

The drinks and service were really good, you could definitely get your moneys worth, food was okay but the music was ridiculously loud I couldn't hear the people sat right next to me, let alone the servers. I mentioned it to one of them and she agreed it was a struggle to hear and said she would turn it down but there was no difference. Wouldn't have minded as much if it was evening time but when people are sitting down to eat lunch and drink they normally want to be able to talk

Had my baby shower here and they couldn't do enough for us even made me a present which is just lovely thankyou so much 💖

Went for the bottomless bunch, let’s say it ended up been a liquid lunch. Alcohol and cocktails just kept on flowing the food was 2 margarita pizza, bowl of curry sauce few chips bowl nachos and salt and pepper chicken. That was to feed seven. Waitresses came to take drinks order and her nose started to bleed she left and came back with a tissue stuck up her nose. Want be going back

We only got pizza and sait and pepper chicken and nachos to share between six of us and drinks was good for the money it was not worth it

Booked here for bottomless brunch The drinks were flowing didn't have to wait for top ups.Staff we're attentive and friendly. The food was sparce and a bit bland especially the pizza,also had onion rings chicken bites, nachos.thought there could be a bit more choice of food.would not book again for bottomless brunch, but had a good night in all

Was met with the greeting you should have been here at 12.30. Was left for quite a long time before asked what we wanted to drink or eat. Cocktails came with out the prosecco and some of the food dishes came without the added extras or very small portions with chicken chips and curry sauce. Was told table needed to be vacated before 3.30 as someone else was due in even thought the bar was pretty empty. Just felt very unwelcomed by the staff. Wasn't the environment we were expecting. Moved on to last Bank standing and got a totally different service

Went for part of my friends hen party and had booked the bottomless brunch. We really enjoyed ourselves, the service was brilliant, the food was good and all round a friendly atmosphere 😊

Just been for breakfast and was somewhat disappointed by what appeared to be store bought (or otherwise pre-made) pancakes that were reheated and still managed to be a bit sad/dense. The latte was nice though and the service was on point. Music was a tad too loud for breakfast, even after it had been turned down when the server couldn’t hear us. Probably won’t be going again and wouldn’t recommend for breakfast.

I had the pleasure of photographing the place today and had the even greater pleasure of eating some food 1st the biscoff pancakes are delicious 2nd the strawberry ice tea is amazing 3rd the venue and staff are both lovely friendly and inviting

Very disappointed ordered two cocktails that took above 20 minutes to arrive .Food friend ordered a tuna sandwich, tuna was cheap and didn't taste nice at all. My Halloumi wrap minus the wrap, by choice was chips, teeny bit of salad and Halloumi pieces..Very disappointed indeed . The cocktails Mojito for me, full of ice, little or no rum, full of a sugary substance unsure what it was. So sugar, mint and no other taste..Friends was supposed to be a Tipsy mermaid .Did taste of alcohol but wasn't mixed enough prior to serving. We want be back

We went as a party of 5 and had a £29 package . It was fabulous we could fault the food and staff was so attentive always asking is if we wanted drinks and if we was ok . We went last year as a group it was different Owners it was terrible we hated it food was shocking and we had to get our own drinks when we had the package . Please if your in pontefract myxology is worth a try its excellent and a fab place the atmosphere was brilliant.

Had the bottomless brunch Sunday afternoon, only us noisy lot in pub which was brilliant! Drinks flowed food on point. Staff absolutely brilliant could have done enough for us. Highly recommend

Not great, was booked for large group of us for bottomless brunch, food was brought out on large platters to be shared between us instead of individual meals that we'd ordered. It was packed when we got there which added to the mayhem, our tables weren't ready and some of us had to sit on stools for the 90 minutes!!! Took ages for our drinks to come and our waiter was rude, this venue may be ok for smaller groups but wouldn't recommend it for large groups.

Saturday night early doors. Busy with decent vibes. Tables and cocktail menus absolutely filthy and sticky nearly left but gave it a go. Cocktail choice limited but something for every taste. Near to another cocktail bar so not far to walk for another

went on a Saturday night and there was live music which was lovely, decent prices, yummy cocktails and a really nice vibe :)

Not great was moved from our table because it was reserved no reserved sign on it and was quit rude about it ,manners cost nothing..1 toilet for all ..

Very busy, very slow service and bartender spilt 1 drink, forgot another and didn't know what he was doing for another. A real shame because the atmosphere was good.

Book here for Bottomless Brunch. The staff were friendly and attentive. We had a small Indian platter, pizzas, nachos, and the choice of gin, vodka, or prosecco, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall had a nice couple of hours with friends 🥂🍸

First visit , nice atmosphere cocktails relatively cheap you can get a cocktail tree ( 12 cocktails ) for £55 Just one thing it was a bit cold , may warm up as it gets full but other than that nice place Staff were all very friendly

Love this place, we visit frequently before the Covid-19 pandemic and I just recently visited for the first time since it reopened and I was really impressed. There are plenty of measures in place to keep staff and customers safe. Affordable drinks, lovely cocktails and friendly staff

Booked cream tea for two , asked the girl when booking about halal as my friend needed this . She said she was want sure so I said we would stick with none meat dishes . On arrival what was delivered had pork pie on - and two lots of meat sandwiches . As the girl I had spoken to had not written it down . However the young girl with dark hair who severed us could not have been more helpful swapping out what we couldn’t have . The food was lovely we had cream tea for two with tea and a lemonade which worked out as 8.50 for both of us on the eat out scheme - absolutely we’ll worth it . Staff were alsoPleasant and should be given a pat on the back .

First time we have been back to Myxology since lockdown started and delighted as usual with the service, environment and of course the lunch. The egg sandwiches with salad were delicious and filling. Adequate room between tables and hand wash available at the entrance .It’s important to support local businesses especially now so once more would highly recommend a visit .

Ordered a vegan and normal afternoon tea, was really nice , lots to choose from and very filling! Attention to detail was on point! Perfect off a cute treat for the Mrs!

I’ve been to myxology multiple times on nights out and have always loved it. Yesterday I ordered a ‘takeaway’ afternoon tea for a surprise for my mum and I to cheer up us. We both working on the front line during the pandemic so needed a boost on our day off together. The afternoon tea was amazing, so yummy, good selection, looked lovely and was worth every penny!!! It went down lovely with some Prosecco! Will definitely be ordering again and recommending to everyone. Me and mum will definitely booking for one actually at the venue when we can. Thanks so much for making us both smile and enjoy some much needed quality time together.

Orders 5 afternoon Teas for us and our family as a door step treat and they were absolutely delicious. Lovely customer service and excellent price! We will definitely be ordering again. Highly Recommended.

Tomas and his team made our stay an exceptional experience. Superb, professional, attentive and enthusiastic staff, especially the bistro manageress. Room was luxurious and impeccably clean. Food was great Thanks for a great stay!

Thought I’d try this place for lunch 4 easy meals all came out at different times the 4th meal came out when others were nearly finished not great, only another two couples in so it wasn’t busy I don’t think they could cope if they had three or more tables in. Hot chocolate , coffee were nice but the tea wasn’t didn’t know the make they are using but awful taste not well known make. We finished with cakes they were very nice.

We called for afternoon tea on Saturday (late notice) ... we were really looked after , there was me and my friend and three young girls , the girls had an amazing staircase of yummy sandwiches, cakes and fruit . And we had a beautiful tea for two with plenty of savoury and sweet selections . I’d never been before but will definitely be going back , was looked after from start to finish .

We had a Christmas party afternoon tea here last night and it was brilliant! The food was lovely and there was so much food available for the money we paid. The staff were friendly and waited on us all night to make sure we were never without a drink in hand. The service was outstanding - best I’ve experienced in a long while. Well done Myxology!!

I attended Myxology on my lunch break alone and I had never previously visited. I was not impressed in the slightest. The restaurant had hardly any others inside eating but the waitress was more interested in making calls on her mobile. The food I ordered was a simple Pasta Bake as I was in a rush to get back to work. It took 20 minutes to arrive and while waiting, I witnessed the waitress walking in from the cold with plates of food e.g chips and giving it to customers. It appeared that the food was cooked/ heated in a different location and fetched in by staff. I was horrified by this and then it was obvious why my food was cold when it finally arrived!!!! Ingredients weren't fresh, food was cold, poor service and I won't be revisiting. Poor effort

I came her with my mum and sister as a mothers day treat. We had afternoon tea and cocktails and it was amazing. The food was delicious. The staff were so friendly and even gave us a little present as a mothers day gift. Cant wait to go back her again.

I took my Mum and Sister here for the Mother’s Day event they had on. The staff were really polite and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was lovely as was the coffee. We also had a cocktail which was nice and you could tell there was alcohol in it, some places you go you can’t. It was very good value for money and is a lovely place to visit. Would recommend anyone going to Pontefract to try it. There is always specials on and deals which are really good value.

Came here for a drink on my birthday with friends after wanting to visit since it opened, we all shared the big pornstar martini cocktail it was lovely, staff are friendly & the atmosphere is brilliant. Would 100% visit again.

Myxology by far the nicest place to eat and drink in Pontefract by a country mile . Great food and the drinks are to die for. Staff are always polite and attentive and will sort anything you want even a far out drink if they can .

We had family and friends coming from Scotland to the south of England for my daughters baby shower. Karen and her team were lovely and so helpful. The venue was lovely and beautifully decorated for Christmas and with our decorations for the shower it was perfect.

GOOD FOOD. PRICES GOOD. HELPFULL STAFF. DECO GOOD.WE GO EVERY MONDAY.

Found this gem of a place online whilst looking for a place to go with my aunty for a girls catch up. I dont know pontefract so I found this and didnt know what to expect however they looked to have good cocktails so figured it was worth a try. And I must say me and my aunty have a new favourite place! The staff where SO FRIENDLY and welcoming. The decor was simple, cosy and elegant. With a relaxed vibe. The food platters where perfect for nibbles inbetween cocktails and gossiping. And the cocktails where LUSH. So much choice of different drinks to try! We both really enjoyed our selves. Definitley be returning.

I have now visited a few times for coffee and for lunch. The interior, although small, is attractively designed and spotlessly clean.Can not fault the staff. All are cheerful, polite and efficient. The menu is varied with something for all tastes. The quality of the food is excellent and such good value. I would highly recommend a visit to this place.

We called in one morning to have a coffee one morning and looked the place so much we called for a drink on the way home they have a range of beers not found in other bars and a huge selection of gin and vodkas Karen the owner prides herself in making this bar unique and she does a great job too personal friendly service is her 1st priority keep up the good work will see you soon

We came here for evening drinks and ordered cocktails... They were delicious! Raspberry mojito made with plenty of fresh raspberries. I've been to so many places where they use syrup. Here they are tasty and made how they should be! Cannot fault, highly recommend and we will return!

Just had afternoon tea for my mum's birthday and all I can say is it was fabulous. The amount of food was unbelievable. The price was fantastic at £11.50 per person with tea. Can't thank them enough as my mum loved it.

Called in with friends on Thursday evening. We had the place to ourselves. The two ladies behind the bar were very polite and friendly and helpful whilst we pursued the cocktail and gin menus! Lovely drinks freshly made and served in clean sparkly glasses! We had a lovely time and will be back!

We attended Myxology for my niece's hen do. We had the afternoon tea and we cannot speak highly enough about it. The food was excellent and there were lots of it! The maid of honour, who had organised the event, was unable to attend at last minute and Karen from Myxology and her team were amazing. They sorted out decorating the room for us and rallied us around so that we all had a great time. We were so grateful for such wonderful hospitality and would definitely go there again.Thanks Karen and team

We visited this lovely little venue after a day at the Races. We had asked our waitress at the racecourse for recommendations for somewhere nice to drink that evening, and her first choice was Myxology. We are so glad we took her advice. We arrived at 7pm on a quiet Tuesday evening to be greeted by Karen the owner and so began a masterclass in great service. My wives cocktails were amazing, as she was introduced to some old favourites ( the espresso martini was delicious ) and a wide selection of new ones ( a comprehensive set of gins on offer ). I was feeling more ‘beery’ and the bar had some lovely lagers too. But what impressed wasn’t just the quality beverages, it was the warmth of the welcome. When you are made to feel like a local and a friend on your first visit, it says an awful lot about a venue and the people running it. I suspect Karen might not be on duty every night, but if she instils even just 50% of her values and approach to her team when she isn’t there, visitors can be assured of a very enjoyable experience. Went here on a Saturday June 2019. The staff were helpful polite and very accommodating. We had afternoon tea for four people. The food was lovely and fresh. The cakes n scones were delightful. Not an extensive choice of cocktails on offer but staff were prepared to make any cocktails not on list if they had ingredients. The pink love island was my favourite. Very reasonably priced. Will defo be going again. Made a lovely treat n something a little bit different for a birthday.

We held my mothers 80th birthday afternoon tea at Myxology. We were not disappointed. The sr couldn’t do enough and were helpful with the decorations we put up. The food was plenty and kept coming with empty plates quickly refilled. The atmosphere was just right. Well done all and thanks from Phil and family

Crowded and busy .... they know how to charge too... Nice people tho, and a good ambiance all the same. Staff could smile more.... even if they are busy x Its a personal thing but sharing minimal washrooms with ladies isnt something i like.. i think i stood waiting to go about 30 mins one night..

I went to Myxology with my friends. Afternoon tea was beautiful girls loved it. Staff was very nice as well 🤗we ordered afternoon tea with tea and coffee but end up having cocktails 🍸 as well lol. Definitely going back

The window table we booked 2 weeks beforehand was occupied when we arrived which was disappointing as this booking was for my friends birthday treat. The staff hurriedly set up another table for us.We had the champagne afternoon tea but instead of tea we wanted coffee which we were made to pay full price for. The food and cakes were nice but the overall experience was a let down when we were so looking forward to a treat.We wouldn’t rush back.

First visit Saturday after we were recommended Myxology by a friend and glad I went it's a lovely place, to get your coffee served with a smile and watch the staff genuinely happy to be at work and happy to serve you can't beat that, the girls even had a little sing and dance going made me want to join in and I don't even dance!! Will definitely be returning maybe even venture for a night out.... my first ever review of a place and very glad to give it to you guys

At first sight on entry looked ok even hopeful as we wanted to encourage local non chain cafe/bar/eateries. And fancied a change to our rare fri lunches. Decor etc -and at table waitress service appeared promising. Place was empty except for gentleman at bar. Waitress with dark hair friendly - Stacey v nice - Explained the menu and was honest about homemade meal options. We ordered drinks and food on a rare lunch together prior to holiday and at no time were we instructed payment was instant after being presented with drinks not food. After all it was waitress service. Never a problem if an up front policy when ordering at ‘that kind of place’. Abrubtly in a style I never heard just after drinks had been served. ‘Card or Cash’ at a waitress by our table with card machine in hand. We had not even received food - cutlery etc and thought this different woman was confused, thinking we had requested the bill at best or finished eating at worst. Suffice to say it got worse. We paid cash instantly outraged when told people got missed if busy and it was ‘Karen’s policy’ and so sorry. Never go at all is our advice. Fully and resolutely shared. Aggressive approach to rectify once food served - very intrusive and so so rude.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Myxology in January. Service was excellent and staff very friendly. W e enjoyed lunch which was very good value and excellent quality, Yorkshire Tea and mocktails as I was doing dry January. These were good value at £3 and just as wonderful as the cocktails attention to detail is fab. Look forward to our next visit

Have called in here a couple of times recently .This is a new cafe/ bar opened up in Ropergate which is well appointed and very nicely decorated.There is a good selection of food on offer and alcoholic drinks are available.Service is very good and they offer a card loyalty scheme.Well worth a visit !

I have been with my friend twice for afternoon tea which was excellent in every way and on that I decided to treat my daughter in law to afternoon tea.I have to say that I was disappointed,there were plenty of sandwiches and pork pies but no iconic mini scones which scream Afternoon Tea! There just wasn’t as much variety as on the two times previous. I am told that as previously you could order a Sweet Afternoon Tea or A savoury Afternoon tea....that is now not available!Please Myxology is a fab cafe bar ...don’t let your standards slip.

Such a wonderful, stylish environment and a great atmosphere this place has. The staff are lovely and very accommodating,they will go out of their way to make it a fab experience... My friends and I would recommend it,we love it and will be definitely back

I go in here regularly and the staff couldn't be more friendly and professional. Great little café if you just want a coffee ect. The toilet situation has never been a problem as the staff will take you to the staff toilet if a few people waiting.Great place.
