The best restaurants serving Default food in Selby Yorkshire and The Humber

Had the Roast Chicken Sunday Lunch and was impressed. A very generous serving for a regular portion, and a really decent price of £12.15 for my soft drink and lunch. A very tasty lunch with plenty of chicken and an extra jug of gravy and managed to finish it. The only point to mention would be that the roast potatoes weren't great. Would highly recommend.

So, so helpful and friendly. Had my bike serviced. Professional job at an exceptionally good price. Would highly recommend for any bike repair.

They only do Sunday lunch. They have one high chair, but kids are welcome. No outdoor play area. Lunch was really nice, especially the lamb shank. Would recommend for more adult eating unless you are not staying long with a very young child.

On my birthday, we always go to Akbars in York as it's my favourite Indian restaurant outside of Bradford. I was disappointed to find it is closed and I really couldn't decide where else I wanted to go. Living in Sherburn In Elmet I've been to most of the Indian restaurants in this area, and while they are all OK, I have never been blown away by any of them. I stumbled upon Jahan Lounge just through doing a Google search on local Indian restaurants and thought I'd chance it, and thank God I did. The restaurant is tucked away in Scarthingwell Golf Club. There is ample parking too, which is handy. you need to go upstairs in the club building to get to the restaurant. The restaurant is tastefully presented with a nice ambience, and there is a good selection of drinks for all at the bar. The food is literally to die for. It is up there with the best curries I have ever had. I had lamb chops for starters, which were perfectly cooked and so tasty. For my main, I had a keema karahi, which wasn't on the menu, but when I asked, the waiter said, " No problem, sir, we can make that for you" The curry is what blew me away. It is probably in the top three meals I've ever had in my life. The chef here is at the top of their game. If you like a good curry, this is the place to go. I am so glad I have found Jahan lounge because I no longer need to drive all the way to Bradford anymore, I have found a hidden gem right on our doorstep.

Lucky for me the layby where Olley parks his trailer is really close to me so a good breakfast sarnie is a real treat. Top quality sausages and bacon plus all the trimmings . A real change from usual cheap roadside cafes . Quality food, clean and friendly too.

Fast service, good food and cheep, free cake also as it was going to be thrown out 👍❤️ 10/10. Christine was a pure joy to be around.

Lovely sandwiches and amazing lemon meringue pie on offer. The staff are amazing, so friendly and warm. Worth a visit.

Great pub and good beers and wines, great bar snacks and meals some nights of the week. Lovely big meals and excellent bar snacks. Will serve you outside can order in advance. Rain-proof areas. Great friendly staff

The food here isn't the typical Italian, the menu is different at first but the flavours are exceptional. We have been as a family a few times now, every time we're choosing many different items off the menu. There are always a special menu, where they are truly special, the options are very nice indeed. The only minor downside is the noise can travel through, causing the conversation at the table to be difficult at times

A very pleasant restaurant, the food was lovely and it's in a very pleasant village. Only problem was they don't accept card payments, no signs or mention before we had spent £46. Very embarrassing when we came to oay

If you haven't tired here you really must - our first time here and it really did not disappoint! All the staff were so friendly, welcoming and attentive. We had a full breakfast and a breakfast flatty both were excellent. One of the best breakfasts we have had. The vanilla iced latte was also delicious! Can't wait to come back and try the lunches and the cakes!

Living in Tadcaster we go to this cafe near the War Memorial. Service is prompt and we regularly buy teas, coffees, scones & tea cakes. Have been recently been with a group of friends as well. I tend to book to avoid having to go elsewhere as we like The Tea Lounge best of all.
