Nice little pub to call into after Dalby forrest, Halle is a top lass!

Lovely place really, but at the end of the day it's just ice cream.

We had a lovely meal here in the village. We had a bread and olive starter, with a pizza and some prawn linguine. The food was good, and the place has a lovely atmosphere. We tried it as the only bad reviews are people not getting a table when it suits them. Book via social media and you get a table no problem. We will be back, that is for sure!

Apparently the place to eat in Thornton le dale. The menu read well. Ordered a pint, asked if I could run a tab as I’d be eating. It was 18:40, the answer from the barman was ‘pay as you go’…no problem. Drank my pint returned to the bar for another and to order dinner: ‘sorry we stopped serving food at 19:00’ . It was 19:10.

I went in to lavenders this morning with my son and my baby. The staff were rude & refused to let us in because I had a pram. There was obviously enough space for us to sit at a table and for the pram to fit out of the way of anyone else. To refuse someone entry because do this is disgusting. Amongst talking to others it’s come to my understanding a lot of people have had similar experiences of very rude behaviour from staff especially the male manager. Even a woman today got told she has to take off her boots to be able to enter the cafe. Not to mention a friend of mine left working their because again the male manager was confused to why she wouldn’t approach people immediately as they come in to take their order without even giving them a chance to do so and told her she would never have a carer in this industry because of that reason which is utterly ridiculous. We went to a cafe across the road instead and the staff were lovely and very accommodating. God forbid what they’d say to someone who uses a wheelchair! DO NOT GO TO THIS CAFE! Disgusting behaviour

It's like finding an oasis in a desert. This place is lovely. It's clean, quick and the food was great and reasonable. Located in the village part of Dalby Forest. Approx 3.5 mi into the woods from Thornton-le-dale. The trail is marked but recommend taking a map as well. For cars it's pretty obvious with a car park nearby. The village area is accessable for everyone. After the walk in from Thornton, this was a lovely half way stop. Very much enjoyed my wrap. Friend had sandwich, also very good. Service was spot on. Thank you

Food and staff were lovely, wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Been here many times before. Sadly this time wasn't the best. Slow service and wasn't that busy. Fish and chips where very greasy, left quite a lot of it. Also portion size seemed small for the price. Friendly staff and dog friendly.

Average pizza, we tried it twice just in case it was a bad one off but disappointed both times. Staying in the area with limited takeaway options.
