Typical local pub really. Nothing that stands out, quite a few locals and sky sports. Downside is the drinks are expensive, needs modernising and the landlord / lady arnt the friendliest I've seen.

It's a place I've not been before. Heard good things about this place that wasn't my cup of tea... But then it could be a one-off experience which didn't go down well with us. But we will try again soon..

This is our first visit to the White Gate. It won't be our last. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and our waitress Krystal was very pleasant. It's dog friendly and she was very attentive to our anxious puppy. There is outside seating if you prefer and a lovely view. The toilets were clean and a basket of ladies essentials was a lovely little touch. A leisurely and relaxed way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon.

Got the satay noodle box and it was amazing, so nice and flavourful 👍

Asked for lamb madras, definetley not lamb!!! Poor subsitute, but also, generally a rubbish meal all round !!! Never again

Had a nice meal, ordered mixed grill, they had run out of sausages so they asked if I would like extra gammon which I had but it was very salty, no fried egg? Anyway it was ok just missing sausage, a lamb chop maybe and deffo eggs.

Went to get lunch for myself partner and daughter from here, the lady serving me had the biggest chip on her shoulder which is probably why I didn't get any in our chip butties... put their prices up and then are stingy as he'll... think I'll be sticking to the one down the road from now on

Usually go at least once a month. New owners have now taken over. It's now table service so we ordered drinks AFTER they brought the drinks over they gave us a menu 😮😮😮 £14 for a cheese toasties!!!! Same for a tuna sandwich!! We ordered one got fish & chips she cut into the fish and fat just ran allover the plate 🤢 one ordered chicken burger it was so burnt it crumbled!! 9 chips I'm not joking!! One ordered something indescribable and cdnt eat it. We did complain and was offered a free dessert which we declined incase it was as bad as the mains!! We had coffee paid the bill and vowed never to return!!!
