Popped in for a mid-morning coffee during our visit to Holmfirth. The owner was very welcoming and we were soon chatting like old friends. The chef, who came down with a sample of the food for the owner to try, was a lovely character as well. Locals were coming in to eat during our visit and you could tell they were regular customers. It really felt like somewhere you'd be happy to return to again and again.

Fantastic food! I’ve I’ve ever had a nicer pizza I can’t remember it!! The dips are amazing too. Holmfirth is really a great place to eat and drink.

Delayed visit for the Thursday Steak Night - sadly discontinued. Ambience at ground floor is open and friendly with options for group sizes. Service friendly and attentive. Food was fine, wine was expensive.

Absolute hidden gem said it before on Google reviews and I'll say it here one very little boutique hideaway. Had a great coffee and chat with the owner and staff members really welcoming and work hard to make it what it is SO people all I'm going to say is appreciate the individuality of the hideaway and tip the staff and remember ALWAYS be nice because working in hospitality isn't easy early mornings and late nights to serve the public 😊✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

Had a delish meal, taco’s were really lovely. Walked in with our pooch and staff were super flexible about finding us a table. Cocktails were amazing as well

We love this restaurant and love the fact that you are back in Holmfirth but tonight was not up to your usual high standards. The table was wobbly, the restaurant was freezing and the service was slow. We had the 2 courses special - the soup and Camembert and the fish and chips were fabulous. The quality of the roast beef was poor and we couldn’t eat it. We couldn’t stay for dessert we were so cold. We then came to pay and discovered that the Camembert was £5 supplement for a started which it didn’t say in the menu - if we hadn’t checked that would have just gone through - the waitress did take off after some discussion with a few members of staff who didn’t seem interested. The pricing doesn’t seem right for this offer - surely the more courses you have the better value - The fish and chips is £19.99 - nearly £3 more than if you just ordered it on the main menu, and then a £5 supplement makes a starter £ 12. The waitress staff were lovely and polite but lacked the direction of anyone more senior. We will come back as it is one of our favourites in Holmfirth. Thank you

The Bistro that is never actually open! I've tried calling in here a few times and it is always closed! If you are looking for afternoon tea, coffee and cake or anything else, I wouldn't bother with this one. I have one star for service because in my eyes, being closed all the time is rubbish service. I gave 3 stars for food and atmosphere because I haven't yet being able to experience either, so I was trying to be fair. It may be that they deserve a 5, or a 1. If they ever actually start opening up and taking customers, I'll edit as appropriate.

I ordered from here once when passing by though somehow the number I rang and ordered from went to another outlet nearby with a similar name. He advised me of this as he didn't receive such an order and helped rectify the issue though didn't need to and could have just made the order and money on it himself but advised going to the other outlet as to honour the order and avoid a loss for them which was good of him

Sunday evening meal for four as part of an impromptu get-together; no firm plans for food but Harvey's was suggested and we were all happy with the choice. Good selection of food and drinks, decent prices, good quality food in good portions (not much left and no-one still hungry, just about right)! Topped off by great cheerful and friendly service from Tilda. Well done Harvey's, we'll be back :-)

quality ingrediants used..every time...boxed salads are so tasty ..tuna salad nicoise..and chicken ceasar..yummy...and the sandwiches are packed ..no skimping here..but quality...

Amazing place, been going here for years and it's fantastic. The owner is lovely and prices are very affordable but products still have great quality!
