I've been getting takeaways from here for over 20 years and never had a bad one. I would highly recommend. The staff are so polite, friendly and helpful. The food is so fresh and flavoursome. As a family we have always enjoyed the food . 110%

Passable as everywhere else was shut on a Tuesday, it was 9pm and we had been travelling and not eaten since lunch. It filled a gap but was pretty ropey to be fair. Guy preparing food was eating chips out of the fryer basket with his fingers whilst prepping people's kebabs and curries... Not great

The food was extremely good. We had a madras and a vindaloo, both were very tasty, the madras was delicious! The staff were friendly and the food was prepared quickly. I would highly recommend this place. It’s the best Indian food we have tried in the area.

I telephone with a heavy cold. I asked him to make me something that will help decongest me something that was rich in flavour, with garlic, ginger (all the known ingredients to help with cold like symptoms) he made me a lamb sagg masala (asian style) it was absolutely divine! The lamb just melted in your mouth, and you could taste every bit of flavour, followed by a heavy spice that was complimented by the flavours. Needless to say it worked with the decongestion LOL. It is safe to say that I will be ordering from you again. Not only is it delightful to see you cooking fresh Currys right in front of me. Tl;dr - Incredible & delicious curry, very good value for money, great portion sizes, quick turnaround times, fantastic meat:sauce ratios, warm and personable staff. You can literally see the attention they give to every meal, as they make it. Holmfirth, Newcastle, Gateshead, Leeds, Bradford, London. Out of all of these places I've lived and had curries in over the last 22~ years, B Medina in New Mill remains my benchmark for an incredible Indian takeaway. I've been going to B Medina for decades, since I wasn't tall enough to see over the counter, and over the last 20 years the quality of their food has remained exceptionally (and consistently) high. Over the course of several years, I've made my way through nearly the whole menu. Is there an element of nostalgia at play? Is it really 'that good'? Well, after it being too long since my last curry from B Medina, I swung by for a Chicken Tikka Naan whilst I was in the area. Deep red and perfectly spiced curry, wrapped in a plain naan, with a side order of mint yoghurt. No, and yes. It really is that good. Each dish is richly spiced and seasoned, fragrant, fresh, and delicious. Sometimes, there's some excess oil, dependent on the dish. That said, this is no more or less than anywhere else I have been to, and doesn't detract from the dish. The kitchen (which you can see as soon as you walk in) is spotless, and the staff take great pride in what they make. It's a welcome change from many other takeaways, where the kitchen is often hidden away, and the only interaction option you have whilst you wait is re-reading the menu you've just spent the last 10 minutes working through. Overall I would rate B Medina 6/5 if I could. It's my benchmark, my favourite takeaway, and a place with a deep connection to growing up. It will possibly become your regular place (if it isn't already), and if it is? I can only be envious.

Amazing curry cooked fresh and really friendly staff.

Tried Medina for first time tonight, my meal was excellent! Had a delicious dhal, saag paneer, onion bhajis, all freshly prepared and ready in around 20 mins! Will definitely be trying some more dishes from the many vegetarian choices on menu.

Ordered 4 curries, 2 naan and chips. Every curry was ridiculously sweet like it had sugar or mango added. The biryani was also very spicy which it shouldn't be. Naan bread was thick and stodgy. Chips massively over salted. Lots of oil leaking from curry cartoons, flooding box we were given it all in. Had to be one of the worst curries we've had. It went in the bin and needless to say we won't be back.

Really bad experience of service. We ordered specifically vegetarian and one meat main meal. Completely reversed order so veg choice had meatand in an meat order no chicken whatsoever. Complete waste of £20 so would not use again would recommend those taking order please listen and write order down. Very very disappointing.

One of the best curries I have had in this area staff was polite and made my curry to my taste spicy and saucy 😋 I have been here 4 times in a week since 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have just had a Bismillah Special with prawns- you can have it with lamb, chicken and prawns or all three - it was absolutely boootiful - I have not tasted another curry as spondooly as this - thanks to Abass- by the way I have no connection with the family - it was the best

Best Indian takeaway in the area as far as i can tell, friendly staff and really nice food. Also mainly gluten free main dishes (obviously not the naan breads )

We called in for a takeaway, so glad we did. The food was amazing. The owner did everything he could to hurry the order along as we had just called in on the off chance. We will definitely be calling again. INCREDIBLE FOOD!!

As usual the food was very nice, But we travel from newsome to collect and were told an hour which is understandable when its alittle busy but we got there and had to wait outside for a further 40 minutes and were offered 2 popadoms as an apology. The last 3-4 times we have been it has been the service that has let it down but the food is very nice hense we kept going hoping for improvement.

Never order from here it took over an hour i was asleep when it came someone posted a note through door saying they would redilver iv just asked and im told Noso I wouldn't bother if I was you being robbed of 14 pound

Have been using this takeaway for over 20 years and driving 5 miles each time, not used it for a while but standard of food was better than I remembered, lamb balti served in a large dish very tender and no fat or gristle. Well done to the team, keep up the good work.

Disappointed not up to usual standard's 1st curry for ages fancied something bit spicy so ordered a Madras instead of my normal khari and to be honest had hotter curries from Aldi...5 mins after eating don't even feel like had a curry. ...

As a health Inspector i only eat the best and at the premises serving safe good quality food. Let me tell you all now. This place is the cleanest i know and the food quality and taste is out of this world. Its the most authentic indian food and the service by the owner nisar and staff is exemplary. Phenomenal curry. I went for the 'new style' Rogan Josh on the advice of the guy who served me and it was one of the best Currys I've ever had. Make sure you pick up some of their onion bhajis, also delicious. Can't wait to go back! In terms of cleanliness and freshness, of you go to the shop the kitchen is open and you can see your food being prepared using fresh ingredients. From what I saw the kitchen was absolutely spotless!
