We visited the area to do a circular walk and was amazed that there were several places to eat, we chose The Happy Bap and so glad i did. I had one of the most freshest baps with brie and chilli jam absolutely gorgeous. The staff were very welcoming and pointed out that there was also a lovely little garden to sit in . We would definitely visit here again.

An excellent pub - easily the best in town. Great atmosphere, beer and jukebox. Staff friendly and very helpful. We stayed in the camping pods as a base for a couple of cycle rides around the area and they were just right -- excelent shower block too. Thanks and will definitely return

Recently had a large family "do" with 11 of us sharing a feast of food from the Dragons Lair, dishes ranging from Curries, Chow Mein to Prawn Toast, Salt & Pepper Chips & 3 different rice's. All the food was excellent, fresh and tasty. This is the 3rd time we have done this and each time has been very enjoyable and top notch food.

The Bridges has been something of an institution over decades in south Shropshire, so in more recent years it has been disappointing to see its fall from previous standards. The very good news is that the Bridges, under its recent owners, has been greatly improved and is probably now better than it has ever been. A brief visit for lunch while walking was a very pleasant experience indeed, with good, reasonably priced, bar meals; an excellent range of real ales; very attentive and friendly staff; and a rear garden area which is superb on a sunny day. Great to see the pub back in safe hands and delivering a great customer experience.

We had Sunday lunch and cannot fault the food at all. I had Roast beef and other family members had the Roast Pork. Included were roasts potatoes, a selection of swede, carrots, peas , cauliflower cheese and dauphinoise potatoes. The Roast beef was so tender and delicious, no sign of any fat or gristle which is sometimes the case in other places. The cheesecake too was divine. The Staff are welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Whoever is running it now knows what they are doing, at last.

After a walk around the town we decided to have a sit in meal here last night. When we went in and the place was empty alarm bells should have rung! The service was way below par, the waiters need to learn some customer skills severely. The food was way below standard too and not of good quality. The tandoori chicken in my wife’s dish was so old and overcooked the bones were black! The tikka in my main meal was about the size of a postage stamp and about 2mm thick. The sauces were very strange in consistency and taste too. After walking back to our motorhome we both spent the rest of the night feeling sick. Not a good experience for us I’m afraid and definitely not returning.
