Good beer selection, didn't partake in any of the nice looking and choice of bar food

Terrible place the toilet are like back in the 50ish no health and safety at all the top shelf shots are more expensive than in town it’s local bar how can you charge £7 for shot Im definitely telling my friends and family it’s robbery place to go don’t go there I can’t believe they charged so much my local for double is £4. I can’t believe this place is not shut down yet I think health and safety inspections should pay a visit there if not for public health and safety I will call them

I've been staying here for many years can not fault anything, staff both in the hotel and reception really friendly and helpful not any trouble. The only down side the restaurant is up for sale if it doesn't sell nothing close by to get food, I'm told the hotel is due to have a breakfast room and an extra 23 rooms doesn't make sense to sell the restaurant!

We visited here to watch a band The Teaze atmosphere was great even though the pub was fairly quiet staff friendly

Booked a table for two on new years eve, never been in before. But a couple of mates told me it was good, so we went. They wasn't wrong. We arrived about 6.45 for our time at 7.00 we where quickly shown to our table which was in the corner out of the way, which was good as the place was full! We took our seats looked at the menu and decided on what we where going to have. My wife went for chicken tika massala, and i went for chicken korma. We also ordered, boiled rice, chips and plain naan bread. I placed our order at 7.00 the waiting time said 45 minutes to an hour. Our food arrived at 7.29! Now the food, it was beautiful, well presented piping hot and tasty. The chicken was very tender and tasted lovely. My wife said hers was the same. It was probably the best Korma i had tasted. We where looked after by a lady called lucky who was cheerful,chatty and polite. All this for £22.90!! I also had a couple of pints of carling which was a good pint especially at £3.60!! So all in all a good night great food in a smart restaurant with good beer, what more could you want? We will definitely be going back!

i ordered meal deal , but the guy who was on phone, he didn't even listen carefully my order and said ok by , then they added some different food also which i didn't ordered, when they came to me , they said you can't cancel it now, it's ready and you have to pay extra for it , it was very bad experience and the guy on phone was very rude.

That’s twice i’ve ordered off Just Eat and they’ve missed my items… Not happy with this at all!

This pub has so much potential, it's in a lovely location, with a beautiful building and a great beer garden. Unfortunately, the experience of eating here really lets it down. On multiple occasions, I’ve been told to sit in the bar area to eat because there “weren’t enough tables,” even though the dining area was nearly empty. It’s unclear whether this is due to poor staffing or just a lack of willingness to accommodate. When I have managed to get a proper table, service has been very slow, it’s often quicker to just order at the bar. The biggest letdown is the food. I've had food poisoning here once (I won’t be going near the chicken curry again), and most of the meals seem microwaved but are still priced like freshly cooked dishes. On top of that, the menu is often limited because items are out of stock. That said, the pub is still worth visiting for drinks. The bar staff are always friendly, service at the bar is quick, and the drink selection is excellent. Just don’t come expecting a good meal.

Came for lunch yesterday with my wife. Haven’t been to the Ridgacre in many years but gave it a chance. Had a lovely Roast Dinner and was served by Sam. He was a credit to the team and made our experience what it was. Seemed to be the only one working and never stopped moving the whole time we were there. We praised him to the manager behind the bar and said we would be returning in the future due to our experience. The beef dinner was incredible and tastes homemade. Couldn’t fault our visit.
