⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing time at The Sow Bar and Grill! For starters, we tried the prawns, fish, and mutton – all of which were fantastic. I'd rate the prawns as the absolute standout (1st), followed by the fish (2nd), and then the mutton (3rd). Each dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. For the main course, we opted for the mutton, soya, and naan. The mutton was tender and delicious, and the soya was a great vegetarian option. The naan was fresh and the perfect accompaniment. Highly recommend for a great meal and excellent service! Will definitely be returning.

We go here once a month always book and the rajastani is the best. We had it yesterday very disappointed very watery no authentic flavours.what has happened, one of our family had Claypot and it came out like a masala. We love this place please could you explain. Had food delivered via Uber Eats. The food tasted nice but the portioning of the main dishes seemed smaller than the ones I’ve had when eating in.

The place is clean and welcoming and the staff are nice. The vegetarian mixed grill and the vegetable biryani don't taste good and aren't good value.

Went in even though I said I wouldn't after he was rude to my dad! I wanted monos, they came out so spicy I couldn't eat! Spoke to management for him to say that's normal!! Me and my 7 year old niece used to have these and not spicey at all!! Mangers attitude is uncalled for!

Not much taste to my meal but okay, price was reasonable

Great local Desi Pub with a good bar area and restaurant. The food is excellent and they have large TV’s to watch sports. There are booths and tables for families or large groups and they take reservations. The restaurant has been completely revamped for people who have been many years ago so well worth a visit.

Had chicken madras egg fried rice,keema nan,lovely food,service abit hectic

They really don't know how to make a korma they put spices in it and I can't tolerate spice Food arrived stone cold shan't be ordering a takeaway ever again

Service was fine as it was an Uber order. However as much as I've heard only good things about this place I'm left disappointed. Nan bread was more like a pancake an the tikka masala was tasteless 🤷 won't be re ordering

the curry's are great.The chef has cooked our curry's for approximately the last 7yrs.There all cooked from scratch,so you can add or take away anything you want.eating in the restaurant is great.clean and great service.take out also great.you get plenty.& it's still restaurant quality

Excellent place for food and excellent service

Im writing this based mostly on Uber delivery however have been in there few years ago for drinks game pool etc. Pub is pretty good, pleasant service. My review is on the food i received recently. I decided to give this ago to see what the food was like as I had given up on local restaurants being so bland. But The Sow and grill food took me by suprise, absolutely delicious top quality in every aspect. Big portions, was delivered quickly and the options on uber eats were really good right down to spice level. Quality meat, flavoursome, even the salad which i don't usually review, was fresh like used organic tomatoes lettuce. Side dishes (chicken poppadoms chapattis) were really tasty and filling, everything cooked to perfection. I cannot wait to have another one. Well done The Sow and grill. Have restored my faith in Indian food.

Unique sports bar in old pub with first class a spacious restaurant on the side plus terrace. I enjoyed a really nice Asian meal with my four sons, with a good selection of ales, all around.

The pub has improved so much with the new facelift and massive extension/restaurant. Theres a food and restaurant family area or if you just want a drink then there's a front end to the pub, which sometimes has live music on Friday nights which is different. Had some curries and starters there with a naan bread, which was spot on and had some spare to take home. Drinks and food were good value for money! Loadsa screens for live sports! The Chef used to be at the Talbot and loved his food then!! All the staff are ever so friendly and welcoming. Went again Dec 2023. Service was spot on for a 25 person group and food was bang on.

Amazing food, welcoming staff, really good value for money, visited on Saturday evening very busy I would recommend pre booking. Good selection of drinks, added bonus large Tv screens showing sky sports.family friendly. We will definitely return.

Only been a couple of times but the food has always been amazing I personally had the lamb claypot this time but highly recommend, I also had a taste of my wife's biryani and my sons tikka all equally as good. They were really busy with delivery orders, but the food still only took 15-20 min. Great service, great staff. Defo will be making it my regular. Thanks for a lovely evening.

What a great go to place we’ve landed on here, it’s great food at reasonable prices, the Nepalese chef is fantastic, I had the Nepalese Himalayan chicken curry 🔥 it was hot, but at the same time fabulous, my uncle always has the lamb claypot, he adores it, and the wife usually has chicken tikka bhuna madras, which she adores, but Tuesday me and my wife and ar friend had the family mixed grill and it was another superb meal, really great, the only problem with it was they didn’t give us any salad 🥗 which was a bit of a let down, otherwise it would of been 5 stars easy. Great work people, keep it up, we’ll see you Tuesday . Delicious

Very salty curry even when asked for low salt .due to high blood pressure. Spoken to the manager to no use.my self family and friends use the sow a lot .dont know what went wrong time to try somewhere else please read. Thx u for your reply I did not get any satisfaction leaving this review as I've eaten at the sow for years.always great food and any problems soon sorted out. I ordered a curry with low salt .called the manager over as there was a lot to much salt in my curry.did the chief make a mistake when making it up.? And as to your comment to me it was a normal curry base what u always use. I did not order a normal curry I asked for low salt if u could not supply this u should have told me

Impeccable food, good value for money (this applies to drinks too), friendly, helpful staff, and a pleasant atmosphere. Welcoming for all people, young and old, families, friends etc. I can to recommend highly enough!

Decent beer and decent atmosphere

Fantastic food. Can't believe how cheap the bar is... makes a pleasant surprise not to have the bar bill so low. Food was generous pirtions and really good quality.

Food was very delicious and everything was nice.

Food first class, went here 2 nights on the trot whilst working away and couldn't fault it ( lamb cooked to perfection) if it were just a restaurant I'd give it 5 stars but as its sports bar, and at times kids were running about and wolves were playing Manchester United on tv the place was a little loud. But please try it out for the food.

I have never seen ruder safe in my Manet years off going out for food all the curry’s taste the same asks for a miled curry and it’s so hot that my sister has all most gone in to labour told them about it, and she told the manager has should get a different job because he obviously don’t no how to speak English and to his costumers all I asks was to change the curry for a milder one the way he spoken to me told me that he’s 20 years a shef and that it’s not hot I’m definitely never coming back

This place was great I took my littlest and my oldest kid to this pub and the parking was horrible we had to park on the road and walk a block down in the rain. They also took 1 hour for the food to come. The waiter didn't know we were even there after half a hour the waiter said here's our Menus and we order 30 minutes ago . The food was great I recommend the butter chicken and the garlic naan bread. The kids food isn't great. They really need more staff. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have ordered on Uber eats and requested for some change in bhindi masala and they have made that very much perfect thank for that .

The veg manchurian to chicken momos were yummy. The butter chicken didn't disappoint. Lovely place for a bite to eat.

The oldest pub in westbrom dating back to 1760 I fink or now. Top banana

Order was delivered quickly. First time ordering from here. The chips were cold and soggy but they also had a weird taste and the Balti had excessive amounts of huge chunks of peppers etc. I expect some but that was far too many. The food was ok.

Great desi pub with unique dishes in addition to the classic curries. Portions are very generous. Came as a group of 15 and all dishes were brought out at the same time, so bravo to the team for coordinating!

What an amazing place to eat.. friendly staff..adequate portions.. only bad point is the parking situation.. best to book early and arrive by taxi or get family or friends to drop you off and pick you up... highly recommend this place

Nice food but way overpriced compared to others. tikka, over spiced if anything. Dont use uber eats as missing items, that when questioned resteraunt said speak to uber not their problem. So tea ruined, if i wanted a refund i wouldnt of spent it in the first place!

Slow service was a put off but meals were excellent, will return.

My second visit today, came and ordered at 4Pm and now is 17.05 and still waiting for my food, they are also more concentrated on serving food for people who are ordering a take away instead of focusing on people who are on the tables durthermore there are only four tables taken so overall it is definetely my last visit in this place.

A nice welcoming bar and very tidy dining area. There are open tables and a few booths. The beer is cold and the food is flavoursome. The toilets are quirky in that they have a keg theme. I visited on a Wednesday night and had a mix grill starter. It was well cooked and bursting with flavour. The chilli chips were amazing too.

Great food and service. A quiet evening tonight with only a few customers but busy at weekends with a great atmosphere.

From outside looks like a Great old British pub. Brilliant well done the designers or architects keeping the British Pub culture alive.

First time visit with the gang from work. When you walk in it looks very small and like a typical pub bar then they show you to the eating area which is large and spacious with large screen TVs showing sport The menu is mainly Indian food but excellent prices had to order food at the bar maybe table service could be better but food came quickly. Was hot and very tasty service was good and came with a smile. Would go again for surel

Would have been good except for the fact that juke box was played so loud it made your ears bleed not a place to go if you want a drink and conversation with friends n family also full of really obnoxious people who just where an absolute pain couldn't get out quick enough

Great food but not sure how long the locals will put up.with the parking situation- had to park almost on Hill Top - with limited mobility its a long walk - and in future may choose to eat elsewhere with easier parking

Tried it for an unplanned meal and we were not disappointed. The menu had plenty of choice and there was a good selection of beers. Overall the food, drinks and prices were very good. We will be going again.

The portions compared to the many other bar and grills was on the small side yet the prices are high. Would be ok if the food was good but it's ok nothing to rave about. Mix grilled std size was again small, the lamb chop meat that came off it was the size of a 2 pound coin. Can't say I would be going back anytime soon
