Food was lovely and fresh wish that the kebab meat had more chips and salad instead of meat but perhaps I should have specified that it was nice though

This is by far the best chippy nr DY4 now. Chips and other food totally surpasses anything you can get from the surrounding chip shops. Always hot and delicious. Will not be ordering from anywhere else!

Last few weeks the food has arrived lovely and hot but todays was luke warm and cold by the time I'd eaten half of it !!

The chips were really cold tasted stale as if had been cooked and left there. the cod fish was absolutely full of batter only a little piece of fish inside. I always order from here every few weeks,never had this worst service or problems with my orders. Will not recommend again

Chips were very nice, I got a large cod the batter was nice and it was a nice size but the fish was really dry and spongey I couldn't eat most of it, if the fish wasnt so bad I would have given more stars

The delivery was done on time as advised however. For some reason the food hasn’t tasted quite how I expected and has left me feeling unwell since eating it.

As usual lovely hot fish and chips, nice crispy batter, beautiful white fish, chunky battered chips, superb. Delivery on time, really good.

The delivery driver banged on the door & I have issues walking & I use crutches to walk. So he bangs on the door & leaves my food on the floor & I called him back & asked him if he eat food off the floor & why did he not wait like every other driver that comes to my home to deliver. The needs to learn to wait or customers will not be happy with delivery service. The shop & staff are fantastic every one & treat every customer the same as the one before. THE FOOD IS 1st CLASS.

chips was cold corniche pasty was rock hard could not even cut it with a knife worst I have ever had from here.

pi should've left a review a long time ago but now, is as good. The food , service & delivery is perfect as always even when I go to the shop its perfection. Keep up the great work to all that work there.

Not bad food. Plenty of choice. Me ma in law loves it though. And she is super fussy. So for me food is a three and a half but she is more of a five star. Been coming here years and it still keeps me coming back so it can't be that bad. 😃 serving staff are friendly. Over all it is worth a punt and a few of your pounds

chicken breast burger was chewy not nice at all and chips was bad too many bad potatoes

I don't know what's happened to this place. It used to be the best chippy around! last time we ordered, no one could eat the chicken cause it was so salty it was stinging our lips and this time the chips are sloppy and half the kebab meat is dry.

First visit to this chippy after going years without a Friday takeaway, and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent, staff really friendly, food was excellent quality and portions massive. Will definitely be our next stop for a chippy tea.

bit worried as the map showed the driver going in the complete opposite direction and was paused to rage at possible cold food but something must have gone wrong as food was delivered hot and tasty in the time frame, thanks for a great feed

Lovely fish and chips, hot, very large fish and lots of chips. Had to share them with a neighbour, too many for me. Best fish and chips, not greasy, crisp batter. Love em

Food quality ok, but very small portions. There was no option to get a halfpounder, or to put salt and or vinegre on my chips when choosing the burger meal option. There were barely any chips, usually chippies are generous with them, but here a complete disappointment. No cucumber or tomato, very little salad and the bun was a typical, supermarket one. I can honestly name at least a couple better chippies in the area, sorry but that's honesty, no value for money.

Food was great but I selected no onions but got onions on my Donner meat and chips, no biggie. Also although the mini fish and chips was put in at an angle in the bag most of the curry sauce went on the paper but luckily did not spill in the bag.

Up until tonight the portion size has always been very good, filled the box of what size you order. However, tonight the small kebab meat with salad I ordered filled less than half of the box. When I asked the server for salad she said yes it's in under the kebab meat. It was a new server, so maybe she hasn't been told by management what the portion sizes are, but there were plenty of staff behind the counter when I raised my concerns. For reference the staff historically have always filled one side of the box with meat and the other side with salad/sauces. Tonight only one side had food in and was 3/4 full

Best chip shop in the Sandwel borough by far - I drive past 3 chips shops to get to this one because it’s more then worth it - friendly staff and top notch food and decent prices - portion sizes are quite big for what you get so all round best chip shop and I know many others who live local who agree

I enjoy the food from Frydays very much & I highly recommend the Irish version of the curry sauce as its got a brilliant scoville heat & gives the food a special lift into more please.

Scallops was a bit cold And my special is missing the Gravy

Fish and chips were hot and very tasty. May seem a bit expensive but as,a treat worth every penny. Delivery was prompt and food was still hot

Stopped for fish and chips coming back from shopping and oh goodness they were lovely! Freshly cooked, their battered chips are perfect and a lovely fish with nice, crunchy not soggy batter. Extremely good value for money with large portions. We go there fairly regularly now as it's on my husband's way home from work, next time he goes I'm trying the chicken meat on naan bread and chips.

I've just ordered mine and my partner food but I found a steel wire in my chips it wasn't nice too find I wish I can take a pic of it and show you all

£9.50 for a "large fish" on it's own they need to make it more clear that large fish on the fish & chips menu is just a large fish on its own! I know prices have gone up but that fish was nowhere near worth £9.50 shocking!

I called at least 3 times after placing an order only to ask them if they could add sauce to my pie and chips each time they answered i barely could say a sentence and they hung up each time. Shame food is nice but won’t be ordering from here again. Very rude.

I was disappointed, had a 2 piece southern chicken meal for my daughter, and it's all batter! There's not even a bone in it and the tiniest piece of meat. Waste of money. I never had a problem with this place, so I'm disappointed.

This chippy is located near my parents home, I always have food on every visit I make to my parents. You are spoiled for choice, sometimes I do not know what to have - at the moment I am in love with the kebab in naan, with large amount of salad and variety of sauces. The food is always on point, the staff are so friendly and their service if excellent. The atmosphere is always so jolly and warm. Highly recommend this chip shop and on the upside it is also open on a Sunday, which many are not.

In my opinion the best chippy in the Black Country area. Choice of battered or regular chips and freshly fried fish. Reasonably priced, generous portions and friendly staff in a clean environment.

My go to chippy in great bridge, can't fault them just be prepared to wait when busy thoe can take ages when they are doing online orders but worth the wait

Highly recommended. Very delicious fish and battered chips, every bite was so moreish. I ordered at the shop and the service was good. The staff are mindful of smaller children too. Very friendly. The owner is a lovely man who takes time to talk and acknowledge you. Would recommend to people looking for a decent chippy with really tasty food. Unfortunately at the time of my order, I did notice a delivery driver arguing with a staff member. This is one of the reasons I prefer to go into the shop and not order online. Some of delivery drivers are absolutely vile and I can see they also post FAKE reviews about genuine businesses too. Disgusting, you should be ashamed of yourselves. But at this point I am guessing they do that to all businesses they argue with. Vile pathetic creatures, you should not be allowed on deliveries! As for Frydays, thank you and well done for wonderful service and extremely delicious food, would not hesitate recommending to anyone.

I only use this chip shop because the staff are amazing, they food is consistent in quality, and their kebab meat is the best! The best chippy in town hands down. Well done guys !!

I ordered a pasty but got a pie instead

Fish is cooked with scales still attached which is shocking, i just could not eat it. Chips were ok.

Menu was wrong on the app I ordered kebab meat and chips but only got meat and no chips as it said on the menu kebab meat and chips .. I phoned the chip shop and they contact just eat was very very disappointed as it was part of a business meal for my client..

Food was really greasy. I did not enjoy.

Got here very quick, but the meat in the kebabs was cold, so it was likely pulled out of a bain Marie rather than fresh off the spit as I'd asked for. Nothing special.

Undercooked chicken with a maggot inside never order from this place

I ordered mini fish and chips and a chicken burger, burger was ok, chips were lovely but the fish was burnt, tried to take the batter off to eat the fish but couldn't because the fish was burnt and stuck to the batter, not good at all.

Food came very hot and was very tasty. Will definitely order from there again

Batter on the fish was hard and just warm I'm presuming it maycof been the time I ordered (about 2) it was like the fish had just been kept warm No problems when ordering in the evening 😒

I passed Frydays on my way back home to Brum from a job in Bilston and ordered battered chips, scallop and a pickled egg. It took 10 minutes to get served, with only two people in front of me, however I'm pleased to report the chips were to die for, so yep, worth the wait!🤤 I probably won't bother with their scallops again (slightly undercooked and oily), but I'd consider making a special journey in the future for the battered chips alone 😋

Fresh roe was cold and Like a brick 🧱 went straight in bin , I’ve never seen mushy peas such shocking green and like water!! Roe was £7 so submitted refund request as it was not edible!! Will not order again!!

This place is not worth trying because of the rude behaviour of the stuff, they’re not FRIENDLY at all.. The smell of the food was weird and gave me food poisoning, they’re also really stingy with giving you some sauce on your food.. I payed £11 for my meal but forgot to ask them for some sauce so i told this lady to put some on at the end of my order. She asked for 30p to put sauce on my food but I could only pay by card and she said, it’s minimum of £5 on card but I didn’t have cash so the lady didn’t give me any sauce on my food over 30p when I payed £11 for my meal.. The guy came from the back of the shop aggressively and sweared at me and told me to leave the shop just over some sauce. I would suggest don’t ever go there with your family or friends because this place is not friendly and they do not welcome you with kindness because of their ugly attitude.
