The best restaurants serving Default food in Minehead Central West Somerset South West

What a top class cafe this is . Superb breakfast and lovely coffee ( I am a coffee snob) . Served by a team who clearly care about what they do . They are friendly, and seem very happy at work. I also noticed how fantastic they were with customers ( some of them locals) who had specific needs . They were quietly accommodating helping that person go about their day with minimal distress. Other cafes should follow your example .

Stay away if coeliac! Saw reviews that they offered gluten free and as my wife is coeliac we thought great let’s go. However, when asked if they offer gluten free the first woman had no clue, the second huffed like we were an inconvenience and the third said most people have a jacket potato cheese and beans but couldn’t tell you if beans were gluten free. There was also a man there with no clue either so if you coeliac do not eat here. We walked out and won’t be back!

Our go to takeaway every time. Quick service and amazing food. The pizza's are the best I have ever tasted and the All Meat with Jalepeno pizza is a must have 😁👍

This is our 3rd year in a row holidaying in Dunster, with the Stags Head being one of the main reasons we return each year. To remember us and welcome us back so warmly is lovely. Had some great chats with Ringo and Nigel, who couldn't do enough for us - thank you so much! This year, we also enjoyed a lovely meal from their collaboration menu with Born Appetit on Easter Sunday and an incredible meal from their own menu. The food was quite possibly the best pub food we've ever eaten - absolutely delicious. We loved meeting Mika the border collie and the game Shut the Box entertained both the kids and adults. This place is a must visit for anyone visiting Dunster, or nearby. We only wished they had opened earlier in the day so we could have dropped in for a quick drink after one of our many walks. Excellent service, absolutely delicious food (especially the chips) with lots of menu choices, and really friendly staff. The only downside was having to go outside for the bathrooms. I would recommend this to anyone.

Was in Minehead for the Shiiine On festival and stroll up into the town on Sunday morning was well worth it to find this absolute gem of place. The breakfast baguette was superb, definitely an aid for the inevitable hangover from the night before. All freshly cooked and they do a lovely sausage roll and Cornish pasty too. See you again next year.

We went here for an evening meal, the food was lovely and a lot of thought went into it. Unfortunately the service and the ambiance was not up to par. For a Saturday night there were only a few other people there which made us think that we had probably chosen the wrong place to go. Why are people not going here? I was surprised to be sat near the office area and the bar when we could be making use of the restaurant. The girls could then have their conversations without the customers in ear shot. It made the experience feel more casual. Considering it was the weekend before Valentine’s Day, we only saw a few other couples here, this should be the busiest night of the week. It took 20 mins for the waitress to come over and offer a drink, we were going to give it 5 more minutes before we walked out. At least the waitress apologised when she came over in the end, but you just don’t do that. The food was very nice but the service needs a lot of work. Dim the lighting, add some candles and be more attentive, use a tray too. The standard of food and the service do not align, you would be better off offering more casual food if you are not going to up the standards of service. Just a thought. I also don’t understand why the staff are wearing masks on their chins. Why not just take it off??

Ten years ago I wrote a 5* review of my experience here, based on perceived good value for a vegan pasty. Recently I bought the same product and paid more than double what I did ten years ago. This is no longer good value and I will never buy another Oggy Oggy pasty. It IS, after all, a few veg baked in a bit of pastry - it's not Cordon Bleu!

Excellent ice cream, brilliant staff, very positive towards members of the public, clean and tidy, polite staff, would recommend.

Easy place and convenient while the kids tire themselves out for a hot chocolate or a cup of tea. The kids can enjoy a cake to a cooked snack. Lovely staff.

GVFM and comfortable. Breakfast in Brewers Fayre is bang average to poor though.

Fantastic as always, great food and service with a smile. I am local this is my go to fish and chip shop as the food is always hot and fresh. Their curry sauce is amazing too 😃

Excellent chips. The stilton and chips was brilliant. Here again today 3 years later and its still brilliant.
