Ten years ago I wrote a 5* review of my experience here, based on perceived good value for a vegan pasty. Recently I bought the same product and paid more than double what I did ten years ago. This is no longer good value and I will never buy another Oggy Oggy pasty. It IS, after all, a few veg baked in a bit of pastry - it's not Cordon Bleu!

Having been going here for years,fantastic pasties ,reasonably priced ,but today had a medium Cornish pasty and beef and Stilton ,very disappointed,very little filling in them ,they were all pastry ,sorry won’t b buying any more

First tried this place when we visited butlins a good few years ago. So was excited to try again on our next visit and can say it was just as good as the first time , the pasties are delicious. I had the large mint and lamb. Cannot wait for my next visit to butlins to visit again.

Lovely selection of pasties, all really tasty, the lady in serving was really helpful and pleasant.

Visited Saturday for a Cornish pasty which was lovely, piping hot! and decent coffee, super friendly place. Only negative really I sat outside which was fine however didn’t really like that every table including the one right by the door was a smoking table. I appreciate it’s outside but for a none smoker, smoking so close to the main door for me is a no.

Was passing and called-in for a pastie and a cuppa. Was served by a happy, cheerful lady. My wife and I had a cuppa and a traditional pastie each and sat on the seating outside to watch the world go by. The pasties were lovely, the tea was good, and the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Have visited this shop in the past, and enjoyed the traditional pasty, so I was looking forward to my return visit. This visit did not disappoint! Had the traditional again and it was beautiful, with lovely tender meat and fresh tasting veg. It was really hot, so was still nice and warm when I got to the beach to eat it. There is a very good selection of pasties available, in various sizes, I had the regular, and it was just right for me. If you want to eat sooner, there's a little patio are to sit and enjoy a beverage with your food. I will be back in Minehead in acouple of moths time, and will certainly be partaking in an Ogie-ogies again!

Visited Saturday to get a pasty after being recommended. Was amazing si went back Monday. Piping hot full of flavour. Friendly staff. Great little business. . Only minor is that its hard to get in the door from the pavement when all the outside seats are taken but that just shows how popular the place is!!

Just called in here for a coffee which wasn’t planned but have to say it was enjoyable and a nice cup of coffee. The staff were pleasant and efficient as was their service.

I only ever get a take away but I'm NEVER disappointed! Tasty, fresh, hot, delicious and two members of staff who are friendly and welcoming! The 'other competition' can't hold a candle to Oggy Oggy... FACT!

What can I say apart from Lovely Oggy with a good choice,clean and friendly service! On the high street.

Tried the large Cornish and the lamb and mint because im greedy both where really good especially the lamb would definitely call back here should i ever visit minehead again. Cheap prices too.

Such lovely owners lovely food and the best coffee so relaxing sat watching the world go by will definitely go back

FANTASTIC pasties!!!! Buttery, flaky and totally scrumptious. We had giant steak pasties fresh from the oven and our daughter had an original cornish pasty. Great value for money and fabulous, friendly owners. Will visit again!!

Have had a variety of pasties from here now, like eating homemade, lovely staff and fantastic food. The pasties are full to the brim and piping hot, cant recommend it enough

Staff were extremely friendly, pasty ever so fresh and they even had a variety of coffees with reasonable prices..

My favourite pastie place ever. They are so popular that you always have to wait for the next batch to be cooked.

When I was a child we use to get pasties from the shop in Brixham. So to my delight when I noticed a chain here in minehead I thought it’s a must. I had a small pasty and the memories come flooding back. Absolutely delicious

Wanted something easy to eat for lunch and these Cornish pasties are the best. Hot and wholesome. The filling is good and pastry is not too heavy. Lots of variations. Well worth a visit

Buy one get the 6th free! There were 5 in our group so we had a bonus. They offer lots of different pasties which gives a good choice, and the prices aren't too bad. The only thing is, is that there were ants crawling on the serving counter which was a bit of a put off.

I always stop here when in Minehead. The large steak Pasty (£3) was piping hot and very filling. Not the best of bits of meat in the world but a very good snack.

On Friday 13th April 2018, I was looking for something to eat at lunchtime so I saw an oggy oggy pasty shop and thought that’ll do. Bought my steak pasty, walked a couple of hundred yards up the street, sat on a bench and opened the bag to find the soggy hot mess in the bottom of the bag. Had a couple of bites, it was just soggy and greasy. In anger I just screwed it up and threw it in the bin, I knew I should have taken it back but I was so angry. It’s funny that oggy oggy has no complaint email on the website or for customer service, I presume it is because their pastries are crap and they are fed up with receiving complaints. Please do not buy any pasties from here you will be disappotment.

Nice thick full of yummy stuff pasty. Happy friendly staff. Outdoor seating area and the coffee is good too.

We purchased traditional pasties three days in a row - they were that good! We stayed over a mile away and walked there just to buy then. You will not be disappointed! The only down side is that I put on weight. Still I am sure whenever we are in Minehead we will call in here.

A very good cuppa tea and sausage roll was just what we needed when we arrived in Minehead. Staff could be a bit more on the ball ( more interested in chatting / phone) but generally okay.

Stopped for lunch today, served by a nice pleasant friendly young man who even offered to carry food and teas outside for me, we had 3 steak pasties which were hot and full, really tasty. Will definatly stop there again when we are next in Minehead

After reading the reviews, we thought we would pop in here prior to leaving Minehead. When I entered the shop there was another customer inside but no staff inside the shop. This was until a male shouted across the road to someone unloading things off a van. The male who was unloading things then came to serve (without washing his hands).

Needing a quick takeaway and particularly fancying a pasty, we popped into Oggy Oggy and it was excellent. There were 5 of us, but you can get 6 for the price of 5 so needless to say, we bought 6.

Grabbed some pasties for a lazy evening in and was glad we did. Very tasty plenty of filling and well priced ..recommended

Hier werden die Pasties frisch zubereitet, da hat sich das Warten gelohnt ("unsere" Wahl war grade noch frisch im Ofen). Für jeden ist etwas dabei und die traditionelle Pasty war super lecker! Auch wer guten Kaffee mag, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse.

This is just a small cafe but is comfortable with good staff and excellent food. The pasties are obviously their speciality and are freshly made, hot and tasty.

Gran degustación de empanadas. Tuve la carne y stilton pastie mmmmmm. Mi falla tenía el cordero y menta, a ella le encantó. Mi hijo tenía el rollo de salchichas, pero que no le gustaba, pero que es difícil de complacer. Trajo el mismo empanadas para picar mientras viajaba de regreso a casa y los fríos y todavía estaba buenísimo. No tome mi palabra, ir a comprar uno y probar tú mismo.

Great service, with friendly, cheerful, polite staff! Happy to go the extra mile to ensure my time here was great. Lovely pasties, perfect temperature and a great coffee to go with it. Once again, great service, great experience, great visit. Will be back.

After a steam train journey to minehead and a spot of shopping it was a sheer delight to find this shop selling a great choice of freshly baked parties we had the lamb and mint,steak and stilton and spicy chicken all 3 fantastic do not miss this

I definatly recommend a visit to everyone.First class customer service by such friendly outgoing staff, nothing was too much trouble. Their pasties are to die for and the best Latte in town.

We love pasties and these are some of the best if not the best in Somerset. The staff are lovely and know all the ingredients as my partner has coeliac disease and they even stock Gluten Free too but sadly not in this branch. Well worth a visit if you like pasties and pies yum yum

We had a pasty with a mug of tea, the pasty was very fresh and the tea was excellent. I found the service from the young lady was also excellent great value and great service

A great little place fabulous pasties coffee and other goodies nice outside tables where you can eat and chat or just people watch.Friendly and cheerful staff they also do take away.So a must place to visit if you are on holiday or like me live near Minehead

Outside on the board it advertised gluten free pasties. We went inside and was told you need to of order 24 hours in advance!!! Told there was not enough demand, but also told they had lots of demands from the locals. Not sure which was correct. It was a Saturday non mid week At the end of the day this store came across as didn't really want to be bothered with gluten free and of course who can wait 24 hours when they are looking for food that day. Smaller places in Lynmouth can manage it.

The best pasty's in the world, Every variety you can think of, no chance of being hungry after eating one either, they are packed.

Small interior with four or so tables and a forecourt seating area. Mainly selling pasties to go or eat in. Very reasonably priced with four sizes available, We had two large for £2.85 or so. They had to be the best Pasties that we had ever eaten and we have eaten a lot. If you are in Minehead try one.

I visited this pasty shop recently whilst on a short break in Somerset, the pasties were delicious, tasty, good fillings and hot. Our coffees were served with a lovely biscuit which I thought was a lovely gesture bearing in mind it is a pasty shop not one of your Costa etc.We decided to eat in the shop and the staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient.

Very poor service, we went to this shop at 13:00 28/07/15,we asked for a spicey veg and a steak pasty, yes to the veg sold out on the Steak, I was dissappointed but asked what they did have, the reply was "we dont have steak" so I chose another meat filling, "sorry sold out" again I asked "well would you tell me what you have" "all apart from what you have asked for" I could see that there was only 10 pasties in the hot cabinet, again I selected a meat filling, the same reply, by now I was close to loosing it and I think another girl picked up on this and tried to help, basically at 13:00 they only had Veg pasties and a few spicey chicken, so I left. For goodness sake they only sell pasties if they can predict in advance that their supply of hot pasties are running low they dont deserve tobe in business, someone needs a kick up the backside

These are by far some of the best pasties, almost as good as traditional home made. Great filling, plenty of swede, attacks of meat and the proper amount of seasoning. Highly recommend

Four of us visited and had sausage rolls, pasties & hot drinks. Service great, polite, fast and friendly. Drinks hot and good, pasties and sausage rolls delicious, potato & cheese pasty bit peppery but probably just me but pastry wonderful and great filling sizes. Easy access to sit in, clean and good price. We will be returning!

Was very disappointed with the under heated, dry food. The coffee was tepid and I left 50% of my order on the plate. I was waiting 5 minutes to pay as the staff had gone out the front for a cigarette and a chat.

Fantastic pasties at great prices. Just the job either pre or post long walk on Exmoor. Good for buying cold for taking home too.

We wanted a snack to take away and saw this shop. The staff were very friendly and they had a few pasties that were cold on special offer. We bought a traditional and a madras one. We had them at our caravan later that evening and they were delicious. I'd definitely go back. They do all sorts of pasties and I'm sure there is something there for everyone.

Best Lavazza Coffee in town,aeays tasty Pasty and Bacon Tyrnover is Number 1 :) If you need all that don't wait and Just go Straight there :)

Lots of tasty pasties on offer here and I enjoyed a hot, delicious cheese and vegetable one. Good service and fair price.

Say no more! ANY pasty shop that sells genuine Cornish Pasties which are suitable for vegans gets five stars just for existing! And the value for money is very good - especially if you buy them frozen, or buy six or more.

We were in Minehead for a visit today, and fancied a snack when we spotted the Oggy Oggy shop in one of the main shopping streets. We have had pasties from this chain several times before, and they can always be relied on to be excellent.The pasty from the Minehead store was no different. We shared a traditional cornish pasty, and it was superb. Very tasty pastry, and loads of tender meat in the filling.This branch was a tiny little shop, but is well worth a visit. The pasties are always great from this chain.
