Third visit to this gem. Lovely friendly service, nice atmosphere and good menu. We opted for a ploughman's, a feast presented beautifully for under £7. Whats not to like

Just stopped for lunch expecting something simple.Ordered ham and cheese sandwich, cheese and onion toastie and a portion of cheesy chips.Yum!! Not just thrown together and some real thought had gone into it. We both really enjoyed our dishes.Takes a lot for me to actually bother with trip advisor and leave a review so well do Bar 21!!

The best place to go for a Breakfast, well presented, lovely and hot with a lush cup of Tea to start the day off, A well dedicated chef behind the scenes with great staff as a back-up, service is quick, staff are very friendly, polite and helpful, this is the type of service you need first thing in the morning.

Having been on holiday in Minehead for 14 nights I can only say how gutted I am that we only tried here on our last day. Food service and price were fantastic. we had breakfast, nothing was too much trouble, will definitely be here a few times in the future. Kids meals are only £1 when purchased with adults main

Cannot fault the food, service or price! Very reasonable for the area and staff are very welcoming! The fish and chips was lovely and came with a complimentary curry sauce. My daughter enjoyed her meal which was only £1 when brought with a main meal! And my partner said his Chinese curry was the best he had ever had! Will definitely be back! Clean toilets and a reasonable wait time considering food is cooked to order. Definitely recommend!! We will be back thank you!

Although staff was friendly and polite, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. When we visited, restaurant was not busy, we had to ask for cutlery few times and no one was really interested in to supplying it, when we finally got our cutlery it was not washed properly and we needed to change it. Food was greasy and wet. One of the worst fish and chips we ever had.

Good food with reasonably priced drinks. My wife had a cheese ploughman’s which she said was delicious and she struggled to eat it all, a large wedge of cheese. I had a double cheeseburger, the burgers were tasty and well cooked, really hot and freshly cooked, they were spoiled somewhat by the plastic processed cheese. A little real cheese grated on top would have got 5 stars. One odd thing I found was I could not pay for drinks and food at the same time, had to be done separately

What a find. Had a great breakfast after arriving early in minehead. Lovely cup of tea. Food really hit the spot. Returned later in the day for lunch. Sat out in the rear patio area. Lovely sun trap and had sandwiches. Freshly prepared and very tasty. The gentleman preparing the food with the help from his wife (sorry didn’t ask names) were so nice and really chatty and more than accommodating to put the women’s football on the tv, thanks. All the people there were friendly and enjoying themselves. We returned later in the evening and it had transformed to have a dj spot with music and dancing. What an atmosphere. The bar staff were quick but still able to stop and chat. Will definitely be visiting again, and maybe, just maybe, we will manage the tomahawk steak!

Popped in here to have lunch. Unfortunately we didn't get chance to eat! Found a table, food prices standard for the area. However after waiting for 15 mins with only ONE person in front was shocking! The person in front was only ordering for 3 people! In the end we gave up. The people who were sitting at the bar got served before anyone else. Seems to be more of a focus on the beer than anything else. Unfortunately would not return.

Chose to have the sharer, well worth it. Staff are polite and fun to to be around. Sharer was plentyfull for 2 of us. Well worth the visit if just for the people watching

Called in for Sunday Breakfast. Very welcoming bar and lovely welcome by the owner. Hubby had the Full English Breakfast which was well presented and tasty. I had poached eggs - although a little too overcooked were again very tasty. Very reasonably priced as well. The lunch menu also looks good and Im sure we will return when we visit Minehead again soon.

Stopped here for some lunch and couldn't be happier. My partner order the cajun chicken burger which she says is one of the best chicken burgers she has ever had. I wanted something that wasnt specifically on the menu but they were more than happy to help. And my daughter had a kids sausage and chips which was great quality and only £1! Overall I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

Had breakfast here three days on the trot. Same full baguette with sausage, bacon, egg, hash brown and black pudding. Fantastic. Great coffee as well. It's a joy to sit outside for breakfast. Staff were very nice.

We have visited Minehead at least a dozen times and for some reason always seem to gravitate to the one side of the road.

£7.50 for a double cheeseburger with chunky chips. X2 people. (£15.00) every bite as fresh and tasty as the next and the chips were perfect. Hot, chunky and crispy. Hats off to the chef as I will be definitely eating there again. As the meat you clearly taste was fresh

The Owners Will and Lorraine are great hosts and the staff are brilliant, food is of an excellent standard and Tea just love it, would recommend over and over again.

Been twice whilst at Butlins. Great vubr. Lovely lady looked after us as we had 14 month old and she and the chef made sure baby had food to order to keep her happy. Great place to go and will be back.

Great place to drop into for a couple of beers and food at realistic prices. Friendly staff who really do like to please, and are very welcoming.

You gotta eat here, just had the best tasting HOMEMADE lasagne, yummy! Nice setting, very pleasant staff, highly recommend

Absolutely shocked at the service we received in this Cafebar. Found a table as we walked in, full of dirty dishes from the previous customer but we thought they would be cleared soon. My partner queued for 20minutes with only 2 customers in front of him. Requested that I didn’t want beans on my breakfast order to which the man serving replied “No! Just scrape them off when it comes out, we are too busy for special requests” plates still on the table as we walked out. Rude, unprofessional and overpriced. Hire more staff if you can’t cope with the Saturday morning rush. Strongly recommend the Wheelhouse snack bar just a few doors down instead, the difference in service is night and day.

Ordered sausage egg and mushroom sandwich which was at the price of £4.20 exactly as described 1 sausage cut in half 1 egg and few mushrooms on bread I think a revamp in price should be considered or maybe add more food

Fabulous place for food, i ordered the Ham and cheese salad it was bigger than what I was expecting then we ordered cream tea and it was well worth the money, would recommend the bar/cafe to anyone,

Called in due to pub opposite being so busy. Great choice best bar in Minehead by a long way. Great staff and fab music. Inexpensive so what more could you ask for

Four of us visited this café for a meal before catching the train back to Bishops Lydeard. We chose this place as it had a certain charm that made us want to sit down, order a meal and then people watch and chat until the meal arrived. When the meals were brought to the table they looked fabulous - so well presented. They tasted just how they looked - amazing. I'd definitely recommend this café to anyone that wants a reasonably priced meal, that tastes great in lovely surroundings.

Went here for coffee as most cafes seem to close at 5.30 pm. The coffee was OK, and inexpensive. I like my milk to be as hot as possible and it was. Sat outside on the tables and enjoyed the flowers. But I do prefer the environment of a proper dedicated coffee shop and not a bar, but which of course was my own choice. I therefore recommend this establishment if all other coffee shops are closed or about to close as the coffee here is good value

Called in here for drinks while we were in Minehead. They have a excellent choice of gins, fresh fruit to go with them as well.

So while having a look round Minehead we decided to call in for something light to eat To be honest, the food was average and exactly as described (no frills!) On plus side, drinks were cheap and were offering good deals

Food was fresh and delicious! Good range of choices on the menu. Clean and welcoming cafe. With a patio area and also a beer garden. Would highly recommend going there for food

Fantastic food, friendly staff and a very relaxing environment. Toilets are clean and smell fresh, the flowers in the food court are beautiful. Excellent value for money, will be back definitely.

We visited the bar on a weekend stay. I was originally attracted to the bar with it's decent priced drinks. This only would not ensure another visit, but this bar became our regular during our stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful. We only ate there once and was happy with the food. The only negative is there is only one male and one female toilet, on a busy evening this could be problematic!! But all in all, we enjoyed our adapted "local" :)

Had lunch here while on holiday. Excellent value for money lovely food can highly recommend the lasagne. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back next time we are in Minehead.

Stopped off for lunch on a hot sunny day, the wife chose jacket potato with prawns and l had hot dog. Was a little slow on bar due to guy still learning the ropes so wasn’t to bad. Food came out piping hot and well presented. For the price it’s well it, the staff are good. And where u sit u can watch the world go by

Visited family for the weekend and popped into Bar 21, sat in the sun in a little courtyard with our dogs. The service was fantastic, really friendly and helpful staff and great food!

Four of us sat down for a light lunch. We had fish and chips, lasagne and the pasta from the specials board. Not a light lunch. Beautifully presented, tasty food. Pleasant helpful staff who we felt really wanted us to enjoy eating in their cafe/bar. Will definitely visit again. Well done to the staff who made it a really great experience. So different from the usual cafes you find in holiday high streets.

My partner was/ currently is working down in mine head. We came to visit the last back holiday weekend in March/Beg of April... we had been there 2 days and because we don’t really know the place we’d had a terrible dinner at a pub, then the next day we found this place, so wish we’d of found it the day before! As we was going home the next day. It was Easter Sunday we went in and the staff was so friendly with both the kids, gave them both a little kinder mini egg. Having a child it’s nice when staff in a place are welcoming it just makes you feel at ease. We ordered lasagne, scampi, a special which was macaroni and a sandwhich between 4 of us and a toddler ( I got her meal for £1! Because I bought a main meal! Which was a bonus) the food, well I’m a chef/waitress myself was absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were very good for the prices. Someone from the kitchen brought our food out and cleared it, and she was lovely and bubbly and had a little chat with us. Then just before we was leaving another member of staff was chatting to us to check the food was okay and we’re we was from. All around it was a very nice friendly place.

There were 22 of us attending Spring Harvest at Butlin’s. We wanted a meal for all of us to be together. Bar21 met our expectations 22 hot cooked meals were served at the requested time. The portions were very generous the food chosen was varied Lasagne, Fish and Chips, Chilli con Carne, chicken Nuggets, Ploughman’s etc. The children’s meals only cost a £1.00 with ice cream as a dessert. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Great venue throughly recommend it. Thank you for looking after us so well

I visited here with my friend and her children. We had a very warm welcome from all staff. We ordered breakfast which was amazing. They also accommodated my friends daughter, a very fussy vegetarian. Stopped here on a very cold, wet day. Warm welcome and good food. Very good value for money, the chips are excellent! Child's meal for a £1 is a bargain, again the quality was very good. Would recommend having a rest stop here.

When you order a cooked breakfast, you pretty much know what to expect. It’s just a cooked breakfast, right? No. Not here. It’s soooo much better than that and something I’d recommend whole heartedly to anyone and everyone.

Didn't want a lot to eat but just something to tie us over till the evening meal. Had a tuna baguette and basket of chips between me and my husband. Lovely and fresh hot baguette and plenty of tuna. Chips were nice and hot and crunchy. Nice drink to wash it down with. Friendly and chart staff. Would go back. Reasonable price.

One of our group of 10 popped over the road to this place whilst at the hairy dog. We all pilled over and have to say we should have come here first. Not only are the drinks cheaper the food was good too. Gaffer put the England game on as well. Tables outside.

We arrived in Minehead not knowing that it was to play host to the "Flying Scotsman" which brought in more visitors than usual. We went into Bar21 looking for lunch just after the trainspotters had left. We ordered lunch and it came quite quickly. My steak and onion baguette was huge and although it was very good with a nice piece of steak I couldn't finish it - a rare event for me!.

What an amazing place this is...... the food is homemade and so tasty. The service is first class. Perfect for a lunch or just a snack.

I popped in here for lunch one afternoon. I ordered a baguette and my mum ordered a ploughman's. The food was very nice, staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. I would visit there again.

Great place, friendly staff with great banter. Great food menu. Inside could do with a better extraction fan as it smelt if fried food. Outside was lovely to sit. Toilets clean, except hit tap not even fitted to pipe. Staff told me they were in the case, but friendly.

Just had breakfast here. It was absolutely beautiful, fantastic value for money and tasted amazing. Lovely friendly staff. Can't rate highly enough. Will definitely be back!!

Went to this place whe visitng the area went in to order some drinks and the barman was miserable as sin and seemed to be an inconvience ordering drinks even though it was quiet and flet out of place orderded a baguette as was hungry it came quite swiftly but the bread seemed funny taste and was bit hard to bite but didnt want to moan as the guy was so unwelcoming so we left and went to stones down the road where fhey accepted us with good service and food

Enjoyed our meals and drinks the toastie and baggets were lovely ad the recomended beer very nice slight problem with order but sorted out without bother

stopped off here for a bite to eat as it was lovely and sunny we sat outside ordered steak baguettes didnt know they would be so big really good value for money the lady that served us was lovely and friendly she might want to give the man behind the bar a few tips as he seemed really miserable but overall good value for money

Had a brill full English breakfast, with as much toast as you like. Very friendly couple own/manage this bar which serves breakfasts and then in the evening is a wine / sports bar. The establishment is open all day.

Four of us were staying in Minehead and stopped here for a breakfast we are so glad we did as it is a great place, the staff were so friendly the food excellent and great value for money we ended up coming back for all of our food and drinks and the atmosphere for the rest of our stay. We would come back again to Minehead not only because its a nice place but to come back to bar 21.

My elderly mum and I went into Bar21 as their menu was good. What we had not expected was to be entertained with live music and singing from a chap performing 'The Rat Pack' and others from the late 60's. We enjoyed good food at very reasonable prices and the staff were wonderfully welcoming. The next night we went back and were entertained by a T-Rex and 70's tribute performer (who was fab). Again the food was good and the atmosphere great. Will be back - thank you Bar 21

Visited Cafe/Bar 21 last Saturday and i wasn't dissapointed. The place was buzzing with a great vibe created by the hosts and enhanced by the visitors to the bar.

Really lovely food, portions and presentation says it all, perfect. Very friendly service. Thoroughly recommend eating here. We had the lasagne, ham ploughman's and a cheese toastie. All made really well, and very tasty.

We stopped off here to meet a friend who works at butlins , ordered , ham egg & chips and lasagne we wasn't disappointed. Stayed on for a drink and had a chat with the gent from Moseley area , relaxed , clean and friendly .
