Came here to get fish and chips whilst in Minehead for the day the staff were really friendly and helpful had cod and chips with curry sauce it was really nice and freshly cooked the batter was delicious and crunchy the chips were proper good with salt on them 10/10 I recommend this chippy if you're in Minehead

My family and I went for some lunch here and it was absolutely perfect. The man who served us was kind, upbeat and enthusiastic and took the order well. I had ordered the double chicken burger with chips, The chips cooked to perfection, the crunchy but not to the point where they were overcooked and they will still fluffy on the inside. The chicken burger was amazing, the buns were toasted well and not burnt, the chicken was tender and juicy and the crunch was absolutely insane. I would come to this place every week if I didn’t live so far away.

It has always been great but asked for 2 chips cheese and curry sauce to take away and brought it home and 1 was ament to be just vinegar and the other with salt and vinegar, but both had salt and vinegar on and they didn't give us cheesy chips and curry sauce they gave us chips cheese and gravy and it was cold

Best fish and chips I ever had we ordered large portions and trust me it was really large not like the other places where they're saying large and you getting medium more than large. Stuff was really friendly. I will come back definitely !!!

We placed our order and were told we would be called when it was ready. At least 15 minutes when by and no sign of our fish and chips. We took this as a sign that our order was being freshly cooked, however when the staff realised they had forgotten to put our order together it was then rectified. To be fair the staff were apologetic for the error. We were very disappointed with the food when it finally arrived. It certainly hadn't been freshly cooked as we thought!

Amazing service and super accommodating. The lads serving were absolutely lovely, professional, whilst also being able to make lighthearted jokes. Definitely a “we’re happy to be at work” kind of vibe there. The food was exceptional quality and so cheap. Myself and my partner both agreed that the chips are the best we’ve had. Ever. And, the hot chilli sauce- to die for! Unfortunately we’re only in Minehead on holiday. It’s a shame, because we would have absolutely become regulars.

We booked lunch for a family group celebrating an 80th birthday party. The staff reserved 4 tables outside for us to eat at, and the fish and chips we ordered came really quickly, were piping hot and really tasty. Good sized portions for all, including kids meals, and everyone enjoyed their food. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, and ensured that everyone had plenty to eat. Would highly recommend Dana's to anyone who wants quality fish and chips with excellent service. Thank you Dana's.

We have just had the worst fish and chips ever! Refried chips that were hard so inedible. The fish was okay. Came back as we had a good experience last year. It was around 14:00 so I wouldn't recommend going in the afternoon.

Having read good reviews of this place I tried it for lunch while in Minehead on a short holiday. Was not disappointed. Had delicious scampi and chips, freshly cooked and piping hot. Very friendly and helpful staff and amazing location right opposite the beach with outside tables. In glorious sunshine. What more could you want 😄 I went back again a couple of days later on Friday but you were closed, Saturday I returned home. Next time!

Staff polite but food not the best, food tasteless, curry sauce had no flavour at all? Sausages low quality....maybe should have had the fish. Sorry there will not be a second visit.

Absolutely amazing. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Food was piping hot and seemed cooked to order. (If not it was definitely very fresh) My wife and I have had fish and chips from all over. And she never eats the batter due to greasiness. But with this she loved it. I'm gutted as I usually get double the batter 😂. Chips are exactly what think of, when you think of when you think seaside chips. Tasty, fresh and fluffy.

We had a lovely large cod, chips & mushy peas meal on the seafront! The portion was massive! The staff were great and very efficient and it made a tradition we have to have a fish & chip meal on the seafront well worth the visit! I would recommend you try them while you’re here!

Right on the beach front, they always seem to be doing a good trade and for good reason: the chips are always well cooked and the marshfield ice cream is the best in Minehead.

We had a lovely experience yesterday. It was our last day of the holidays and we ordered a range of different things for the adults and children (fish, chips, sausage, chicken nuggets) It was also our little girl’s first time trying ice cream. The staff were really welcoming and the food was delicious. We sat outside on the tables and chairs and it was extremely clean.

The best ever! We come here every time we are in minehead and nothing can beat it. All the staff are nice and friendly. Also Unlike seafare they actually put you food nicely in a tray/box. Instead of just dumped in a bag 😂 we have been coming here for like 3 years love it so much. Save your self money don't go to seafare coke here!!

Fantastic fish and chips! Portion sizes are massive and truly are worth every penny on the money you pay for them. Staff are very attentive and very friendly. When I visit minehead again I will 100% be using Dana’s again. Cheers lads you made me and my family very happy yesterday.

We had medium cod and regular chips, my partner had quarter pounder and regular chips. They were really nice, the fish was lovely and flaky with crispy batter. You get alot of chips, I couldn't manage them all. It was all fresh to order. The service was great. The staff were working quickly and were friendly. Would definitely eat hr again.

Staycation locally. Walk by the sea, stopped for the obligatory Fish and Chips after all isn't it part of the experience? Large Cod in pale, soggy batter, chips tasteless and greasy. I get better back home, miles from the seaside.

Really sorry but your food was horrible, dry, stale it's must of been in the tray for ages before it's was served to my misses. See the pic this is what I was given for £3 ( over priced ) and it went straight into the bin. You can respond with what ever comments you like, facts don't care about your feelings

Best scampi and fish and chips!

The absolute worst fish and chips we've had! And that really is an achievement! The chips were completely inedible! Hard and pale. Literally didn't eat a single complete chip. The fish looked amazing but was greasy and flat and slimy inside. Again totally inedible. Good job the scampi was nice but ridiculous to pay £30 for two portions of plain scampi! Curry sauce and gravy were like water! And served by kids. Just so frustrating to waste so much money on truly terrible food.

I would give this 6 out of 10....chips were very hard and crunchy as if they had been cooked at least twice. I thought that I had broken a tooth! Batter on cod was also very hard, beyond crispy. The cod itself was nice and flakey. Steak and Kidney pie was cooked to order and was hard on top. Mushy peas were OK. Won't be going back.

Absolutely amazing fish and chips and amazing customer service. My friend got there late after I'd got my food already and they closed but they gave him some left over chips and battered sausages as we caught them while taking the signs in.

Used to be Best fish and chips in minehead been there today and the chips are the worst we have had . Disappointed today as we have been going there since 2013 minus covid.

Good fish and chips , I’ve cream and other varieties of food options. Fish and chips comes in mini , medium and large sizes , the quantity is massive so large is actually extra large and medium is actually large. Quality is great , nice setting area outside , staff are nice . Prices are reasonable.

Amazing crispy thin batter on the fish and well cooked chips. Brilliant and friendly staff who helped cater for my kid who has fish allergies (he ate a sausage!)

Amazing fish and chip shop, brilliant at catering for allergies (with seperate fryers with different oil as a lot of places use oil which flows through all the fryers!). Very large portions, great selection for kids, very friendly & helpful staff, Quick service. Overall, great value! (also, the medium cod is like a London extra large portion- be warned 😂). Pies and sausages are also yummy. And the kids meal can include banana milk (huge hit!). The kids meal we chose had 2 sausages and a very generous amount of chips with a ketchup sachet. .........better than fish and chips in the local well known resort, who is poor with allergy requirements & has long queues.

Staying at Butlins? Take a 2min seafront stroll down to the local chippy and get a good portion of real chips for a decent price. Great friendly staff!
