Best bar in Minehead. Massive outside seating area, front and back. 4 pool tables. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. They have some decent food options and they are sizeable portions at affordable prices.

We have been here all week, eaten in different venues in the town I ordered the lasagne, which came with chips, salad and garlic bread, my husband ordered pesto chicken salad, this also came with garlic bread, which was to die for If we had eaten here on our first day we would have returned each night we ate out Amazing food

Went in here and had a drink , picked up a menu, the nice chap behind the bar said just to let you know the food is served from 6. Just had to wait about 20 minutes then we ordered. We both had Scampi, chips and peas, it came in a dish with a newspaper like linin g, was a novel idea. The food was really nice. Bit of a rustic place, we enjoyed it. Toilets were rustic but clean and functional. Good atmosphere with music in the background

Don't order cheese and onion baguette... You'll get half block cheese in a big lump, half onion, and an roll you'll break your teeth on all chucked in a basket...

Best bar in minehead. I've lived here over 10 years and it's by far the best service and welcome I've received in this town ever.

Excellent atmosphere, plenty of drinks flowing, would really recommend this place when in Minehead. Didn't have food but friends had and looked amazing too.

Great location on the main strip and fabulous outside seating front and back. Pool rooms and lots of TVs if sport is your thing. They have two prices for drinks one for locals with a "locals card" and one for tourists on holiday the difference can be significant. However it didn't impact on our visit.

Really good atmosphere in this place. Que for drinks can be a long wait at times. Otherwise, it's great.

Didn't eat so haven't rated the food. This is a lively sports pub. 📺 All over the place. I still managed to find a spot to read my newspaper in peace. Next time we are in Minehead this will be the first port of call.

Nice food it is a little bit pricey but tasty, we had BLT baguette which had plenty of bacon and lovely large slices of tomato. Lovely coffee. We visited during the day.

Found this place after being not such a pleasant experience elsewhere and actually so glad we found it! Familybfriendly food was proper pub grub and bar lady was absolutely great Highly recommend it

Down from Liverpool sadly for a funeral. A wonderful little spot, the buffet food was excellent, and the staff were lovely. Hopefully be back soon when its a bit warmer .

Thank you for responding to my review. Just to clarify, during the course of ordering our food at least three references were made to my need for a gf meal. I did query the province of the beans when I paid the bill - only to find out they were not gf. In fairness to your waitress she was mortified when she returned from the kitchen to tell me this. Surely, your chef should have thought to check the beans having been told that I was gf and to give my sausage to my husband? Fortunately by comparison to others with celiac disease my reactions are uncomfortable but not life threatening - as in some suffers this would have triggered a much more serious situation. Your staff need training on food allergies ! Told waitress I had celiac disease, even requested breakfast sausage was given to husband as not gf. Served beans, which I later discovered had gluten and wheat flour in them - poison to my system. I will have 24 hours of bloating, nausea, tummy cramps, and violent tummy upset but other sufferers may have even more severe reactions. Foods allergies are not something to pay lip service to. Not happy.

Great place to stop for a beer and food

Very over priced for what we got! Will certainly never return. (We had fish & chips!) We were on a visit from France to uk to do business, wouldn't get away with it in france!

Came across this little gem when visiting minehead for the weekend. Such a lovely friendly pub with a great vibe. Went in Thursday evening for some drinks. The staff are so friendly and we all had a good laugh. Was so good we came back in the morning for breakfast and then the last day we were there had breakfast before heading home. The food is great and good value!! Thank you all at Cafe Bar 21 for making our girlie weekend so fun!!

Had a delicious breakfast this morning, no frilly jargon and no silly prices just a good ole English at a great price

To pay nearly £14 for cod and chips was very extortionate for the quality of fish that arrived. A very very poor standard of mass produced fish was served. To be honest you could buy frozen cod fish with a light batter from Aldi which would have been a better quality of fish all together . Believe you me I know my fish and the different ways it’s produced for a sea side town this very poor. The chips were good unfortunately if you blinked they would have disappeared for the few that were still on the plate .

Popped in at about ten am while hiking along the coast and we were pleasantly surprised how good value it was. I don't think it's the kind of place I'd go in the evening, preferring a cosy pub instead, but I can recommend the breakfasts.

Minehead bar on the High Street. Sitting amongst several bars, pubs, restaurants and cafes, this venue offers an excellent outside venue for drinks and food. Step inside and you are greeted by a tastefully decorated and unassuming venue that surprises on several levels. It's difficult to realise it's size until you go right in. The interior is well designed and comfortable and goes on, and on, to an exterior, partially covered and large enough to house several pool tables, an external bar, bbq and toilets. We had breakfast (served until 12 noon), and a cappuccino to follow. Music and videos played without overpowering the atmosphere. Staff were friendly and service excellent. Menu extensive and we would happily return on our next visit for lunch, dinner or an evening of drinks. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I had a great afternoon here, the atmosphere was relaxed, very pleasant with really good music. A great selection of beers, wines and spirits oh and some very good Cider. We had food here also from the evening menu and would highly recommend trying it also. All in all we had a great time, thank you to all the staff.

Wow the belly pork...the place is so much more than that but hey it was yummy. A great atmosphere in this place. The staff are great and helpful .

Great place to people watch due to a raised decking frontage. There is also a lovely clean garden area at the back. Now for the food. I thought I was going to get a normal chilli hot dog with a bit of chilli sauce on it. What I got was a full blown meal, only hot dog I've had where I've had to use a knife and fork. Included cheese, onions, frankfurter, kidney beans, basically a chilli con carne topped on a hot dog. Staff were very friendly. Recommended.

Whenever I come to Minehead I always plan a visit, easily the best breakfast in town. And a great price. 10/10

Lovely relaxing cafe bar, friendly staff. Good atmosphere very nice food , good selection of ciders , would recommend it. We have been there a few times now while on holiday.

Always drink here wonderful place unfortunately I'm vegan and there's nothing for me i know there's vegetarian but most dushes include either eggs or milk, vegan food caters for both vegetarian and vegan, Richmond sausages are superb along with moving mountain and beyond burgers and vegan bacon I understand if there isn't a call for vegan food so i simply drink at bar 21 and eat opposite or in weatherspoons bar 21 is still a wonderful place to drink and i will always go there

Dropped in here for lunch and the food was good and reasonably priced. However, our server seemed very preoccupied with another customer and every interaction felt rushed. I politely asked for cutlery and she gestured at a cutlery station near our table while walking away. It made us feel more like an inconvenience than a valued customer. We visited on the 3rd of July, around 12:45

Food quality was good for the price. Service was pretty appalling. My fiancé was spoken to with very little care and the bar person walked away from her mid order to sort out drama in the bar from one of her friends. Was not acceptable at all. Then when we kindly asked where the cutlery was she walked away just pointing where it was with very rude attitude. Only popped in for a bite but would not reccommend.

Nice place, but it came across that us ordering food was a mammoth task for the staff... Portion sizes were quite small too... But the food did taste quite nice to be fair.

Cafe Bar 21 was a great place to visit! The breakfast was such good value for money after a heavy night partying at Butlins! The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. The landlady was lovely! She is great with the customers but straight onto any trouble! She isn’t frightened to chuck out drunk people! We loved the place so much we went back twice and spent at least 6 hours there each time! Definitely worth a visit if your in Minehead.

Came in yesterday had macaroni cheese absolutely delicious my husband had steak and ale pie he really enjoyed it.very nicely presented will definitely be back again very friendly staff.

Looks nice, but back area looked a it, little grubby in parts.

We ordered the gammon steak and steak baguette, the food was so nice, the baguette was abit spicy but still enjoyed it, the young girl who was serving us was really cheery and friendly, she was working behind the bar on her own and bringing food out, it was busy today and she still made time to smile and make sure everyone was happy with their meals, so lovely food, great staff , lovely place to go, our server was called Rosie,

We had a lovely full English here. It was a good size and reasonably priced. The lady serving behind the bar was friendly.

Two great afternoons 22 of us from the north came down to Minehead this weekend. Spent Saturday in there and Sunday for a meal. Great bar great staff and thank you for the lift back to Butlins love it Mick and all of us thank you x

Lovely town centre cafe. My friend had a cooked breakfast and I had a sandwich. All very tasty. Sadly no dairy free milk options for tea or coffee, which is unusual these days. Lady serving was lovely and they even gave my friend some free bread and butter which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. More reasonable prices than some places in Minehead.

It is exceptionally rare I leave a review (good or bad) for any company, as I am a very private person online, however, we stopped here dinner, which was delightful. Staff were lovely, food & drinks we had were 1st class. We came back two days later for dinner again. I had the lasagne both times and it was to die for. TBH we haven't had a bad experience of anywhere we've been to since arriving in Minehead, and this venue certainly lives up to the local high standard. We really enjoyed coming here.

Came in, asked if still serving food and told yes but be quick - fair enough - return to bar after a couple of minutes looking at menu and having drink to be told no longer doing food. Probably wouldn't have taken as long if bar staff served in order of arrival at bar instead of regulars first. On plus side, nice use of outdoor space and good music

Staff didn't know that they had no bee-sting cider despite it being in their large hand written poster as soon your walk in. Got the impression a very local place as barmaid only seemed to want to serve regulars to their table. Just a couple of niggles, would still return

Early drive down to Minehead and found this cafe. Friendly staff and efficient service.. just what we needed. Recommend.

Just passing through and wanted to stop for a coffee and cake, should have been fairly easy but very little open until we stumbled upon this place. Coffee, cake and service was very good and well deserves ⁵ stars would highly recommend.

My family and I had lunch here today, and are quite pleased with our find. The cafe was clean and well-decorated, with a welcoming atmosphere inside. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was well cooked, tasty, and good value. I'm sure we will visit again when we're next in Minehead.
