Lovely Coffee sat in the sun ....stumbled across this place while visiting Minehead and found a table outside in the lovely weather nice Coffees 2x Lattes a flat white and a cappucino £10.90 not bad prices really....

Friendly staff, home-made pies and quiches were lovely. Clean and tidy, seating for inside and out out. Would recommend.

We stopped here first thing one morning, The Wheelhouse seems to be open earlier than most of the cafes in the area which was a bonus for us. We were made to feel very welcome, the breakfasts were well cooked/presented and really tasty, tea was in a pot which we like. I only wish we had had the room to try some of their delicious looking cakes/scones, If you're in Minehead stop here for a break - you won't be disappointed.

Loved it! Breakfast is such excellent value. Really friendly couple who served me, my husband and 91 year old dad with super breakfasts on 2 mornings this week. Thank you. Will be back soon!

We have been having lunch here for many years every time we visit Minehead. The food is always fresh, a variation of cakes too if you just want a coffee and a slice of cake. Nice friendly atmosphere.

Brilliant little place. Lovely family restaurant, good food and very reasonably priced. Always had an excellent meal, in particular the home made quiche!

We called in before taking the grandkids to the cinema on a wet-ish August weekday. We were able to sit outside as it was just dry enough at the time. We enjoyed toasties and cheese sandwiches. All good with friendly counter service while watching holiday makers strolling by.

We thought we would try somewhere different from our usual cafe so glad we did the food and service was excellent and really friendly staff will definitely return

We have just stayed at Butlin's for the week and visited this café several times when we walked into town. The food was great and much better than the same meals being served in the restaurant at Butlin's. We thoroughly recommend the baguettes and breakfasts! My wife and I stayed near Minehead for a week and when we popped into Minehead for lunch we gave this place a go. We had a really nice meal ,we enjoyed it so much that we went back here for two more lunches.A really nice place,thank you.

Usual friendly welcome, very good service, high standard of cleanliness and the lunch was excellent. Food was delivered without fuss and in a very short space of time.

We had breakfast here on a Monday morning in September. The service was quick and the food was good. They were taking the Covid guidelines seriously. We would have eaten here again if we'd been in the area for longer.

Eaten breakfast this morning at the wheelhouse, the full breakfast was cooked perfectly, in fact I can’t remember a better one, food lovely and hot, service friendly and unobtrusive, if you fancy a fab breakfast, this is for you. Richie

What a lovely little cafe .we really enjoyed the two cooked breakfasts and a bacon roll all served with a smile on proper China, with pretty tea cups! all of the required safety elements were in place because we visited during the Covid pandemic, staff in masks, cleaning tables frequently. I have visited this eatery on many occasions over many years when down in Minehead The consistency and quality of staff and food has never wained All very reasonably priced with smiling staff ( even behind the masks ) who are actually happy for your custom as opposed to being an inconvenience which can be said for a lot of other establishments The all day breakfast is cracking ...... and the cream teas are lush Don’t walk by ..... walk in

Stayed local and visited twice for full English. Consistency is the key and on both occasions the food was delicious. To my taste..... Brilliantly cooked. With reasonable pricing and using means supporting local economy, what's not to like. Well done guys and thankyou

Ordered the big breakfast which was very nice appart from the smallest Sausages I have ever seen. All three would Barely make a normal sausage. They also do not serve Black Pudding all of which is a shame as no repeat custom from us.

We had a delicious breakfast which for what we received was very reasonable. I would highly recommend trying the homemade malteasers bar also. In close walking distance from butlins. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating.

After a freezing cold ride from Exeter to Minehead, we stopped of at the Wheelhouse Snack Bar. With a warmWelcome and friendly staff we were glad if the warmth to thaw out. We ordered a breakfast meal and it arrived quickly and was very tasty. Toilets are available- but are around the back of the building in the car lot. Would definitely recommend.

Don’t ask for anything simple that’s not on the menu. Asked for poached egg....no scrambled or fried only. Asked for a mug of tea....no pot only.......

Popped in here today for lunch with my two teenage daughters. Have to say I was very impressed, the staff were welcoming,friendly and efficient. Two of us had the bacon Brie and cranberry baguette which was delicious and very filling. My other daughter had fish and chips which she enjoyed too. Very good value for money.

Came in for a cream tea and we were not disappointed. The tea came in a lovely vintage style tea set. We also got chips for the kids and they were great.

This restaurant is highly recommended, everything is excellent! We had a Spanish night here, and it was their first, absolutely lovely, the character of this restaurant is just right!

Stopped by for lunch on arrival in Minehead. Staff and owner very friendly, nice and clean cafe, although for the WC facilities, you have to go outside and around the back of the building. Newspapers and colouring books are provided - which kept our little grandson occupied whilst waiting for his chicken nuggets! Overall food was good and reasonably priced

Excellent cream tea here. My friend and I visited about a month ago while on a day trip. It was truly scrumptious! Others on the trip had various snacks and meals and all said the food was lovely. Very clean and very friendly staff. Will definitely vivat again.

This little cafe has the most well mannered friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. Service was quick even during the morning peak on a Saturday. The breakfast was well cooked and delicious. The price was fantastic too and overall a pleasant experience. Hats off to the Wheelhouse Snack Bar, keep up the good work.

We popped in on a Monday for a bite to eat and were really pleasantly surprised. Friendly people, they were busy but timely service was much appreciated. We both enjoyed our food, all home made and delicious.

Visited Minehead and went for lunch in this cafe. Lots of homemade products including scones,cakes and quiches. Good menu choice. My quiche included salad and either jacket potato or chips. I would have personally chosen boiled potatoes with quiche but it was very nice likewise the coffee was good too.

You can’t visit Minehead without having a cream tea, and if you’re Gluten Free this is the place. Great quality and lashings of jam and cream.

Always stop here for breakfast really nice food the staff are brilliant and and cannot believe how quick the breakfasts came can recommend this place 100% and also make there own cakes well done keep up your excellent work

We eat in here all the time, I often have the Full English and it’s always fantastic! The cakes and pies are also delicious, pop in and give it a try if you’re in Minehead you won’t be disappointed!! Staff are very friendly!

Had a light lunch here, my 2 year old daughter had a cheese sandwich and they were good enough to remove the crusts as we asked. I had a pannini which was tasty and my wife has a jacket which was also nice, seemed to get busy around lunch with locals so the food must be good,

Visited Minehead recently for a brief visit. Walking up the road towards the car park, as we walked up something caught my eye.

Had breakfast 2 days running. Excellent full English. Excellent bacon baguette with a huge amount of bacon. As we visit Minehead often this will be our first port of call for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Visited on a Saturday morning recently with four friends for breakfast. Two had cooked breakfast, two had breakfast rolls and one had scrambled eggs and bacon on toast. It was all cooked very well and nicely presented. Reasonably priced and promptly served. I will return if I’m back in Minehead and would recommend to anyone visiting.

Arrived for a long weekend break after a 5 hour drive and had a Full English breakfast. The service was good, although the establishment is quite small and if you are seated by the till you might feel a little claustrophobic. The food came really quickly and have to give it a thumbs up. It was all cooked very well. No frills but gave me the impression it was consistent, quick and easy.

Popped in here on our last day to set us up for journey home. Lovely clean premises ..helpful staff..lovely food and plenty of it

Stopped for a late lunch, ordered 2 quiche, a ham egg and chips and a childs chicken nuggets along with drinks. Didn't have to wait long, food arrived well presented, lovely mix in the side salad, home made quiche was delicious, ham was really thick slices. There was certainly plenty on the plate.

Nice to find a small family business that serves home made food hot, quickly and very reasonably priced. We pop in here every time we visit Minehead. The owner is very friendly and will accommodate any special requests with a "no problem" and a smile. Lovely. We called in here on a Sunday visit to Minehead for a drink and a snack. I had a decaff coffee andmy wife a hot chocolate. I had a lovley slice of chocolate cake and my wife a scone and jam. It did take some time to get served as you queue in the shop but well worth the wait. We sat outside in the sun to enjoy our coffee break.

Stopped here for lunch whilst we were exploring Minehead for the day. Great menu full of snacks, lunches and children's meals. Staff were friendly and the service was really fast. I had a jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw, it was delicious and came with a great side salad. My husband, daughter and I sampled some homemade cakes for dessert and they were all moreish. Would definitely recommend a visit here for lunch. You have to walk outside and around the back to use the toilets but they were very clean and this wasn't a problem on a lovely sunny day.

I stopped by for lunch whilst visiting Minehead. I was pleased to find a Ploughman's on the menu, which doesn't seem to me to be that common nowadays. The Ploughmans lunch and side dish if chips were great... The service was extremely quick. I would most certainly visit here again if the need arose.

Nice looking cafe, reasonable prices in general but disappointed with our fish and chips....Chips tasted like oven chips and the fish was so overcooked, batter very dark brown and crunchy, much like the chips.....Overcooked and crunchy...Nothing like seaside fish and chips you dream of! Wish we'd skipped the mains and had cake, the cake looked very good.

Had a generously sized jacket potato and salad here which was delicious. Lovely lady owner running the business with her husband. We were going to return on Wednesday but were disappointed to find it shut.

We were staying at the premier inn and whilst the Brewers Farye next door to the hotel does a breakfast our friends who had been earleir said it was chaotic,. So we decided to walkinto to town and try one of the cafes. We both fancied a full english so based on tripadvisor I choose the Wheel House snack bar the breakfast at £4.95 included two rashers of good quality bacon, two sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, a fried egg, a hash brown a tomato and a slice of toast. All very nice and good value.

We were hungry but this full English breakfast was bang on. I had the extra large and it was cooked to perfection, excess fat had been removed from the bacon and not a sign of grease or fat on anything. To my mind absolutely spot on. I'll definitely be going back, great value for your money.

This was our first trip to Minehead so we didn't know any best places to eat so we of course reviews trip advisor. This little gem came up as in the top 10 Cafe's to visit in Minehead. Staff were welcoming, breakfast was stunning! The little bit of a salad on the side of the breakfast nap was a nice touch! A bit of onion and cress went very well with the bap. Food was a good price too. Highly recommend and will definitely look to return on future visits!!

Had an all day breakfast at The Wheelhouse whilst spending the weekend at Butlins. It was lovely. Freshly cooked to order. Generous portions.They even did fried bread for us as an extra :) Nice pot of tea with extra hot water too. Great value for money. Friendly hosts, but not too pushy. Thoroughly recommended.

Being a Butlins regular, we've known about this place for years and it never disappoints. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and a cracking, decent breakfast. Great for the morning after a heavy night. Better than anything available in Butlins.

Set in The Avenue Minehead yards from the seafront and close to town. Good selection of reasonably priced food clean and comfortable. Outdoor seating for good weather. Nice to know standards are always maintained. a really good restaurant. You can eat here with confidence whatever the meal you want. Catherine and Trevor are very clear on standards you won't find uncleared tables here.

Can e here for breakfast on Sunday morning. I'm a ma. Who likes a cooked breakfast a d I was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the food. It didn't strike me as local produce but for the price and quality of the meal I'm not worried.Coffee was nice, the milkshake was good and they happily added ice cream to the shake.This cafe is not full of promises of local produce and world wide knowledge of coffee and a huge selection of herbal teas, it is a good honest cafe. You get what you ask for with a courteous smile, speedy service and a very friendly atmosphere. When I come and visit again I will be making a bee on error its breakfast. Ample seating In and out along slowly treeline road. Come here if you want friendly service, nice food and no empty promises. A really lovely honest cafe

We visited this place on the 13/10/2016.We wanted something hearty and filling before our drive around the coast. We were welcomed by a lady who served us and prepared our coffee. Breakfast was around a 10 minute wait and was served hot. Shane being fussy, this cafe were accommodating for changes without an extra charge. Our lattes were perfect and the food was delicious. Shane is fussy but ate all his food here. We were full and both extremely enjoyed our breakfast! You pay first for your food and it's brought to you. I like this service. Plates and cutlery are clean and very home set. It reminded me of my nans. Blue patterned plates. I felt more at home with this and felt more comfortable. the loo is around the side of the building for those wondering. Very nice place to visit. Highly recommend. We were so hungry that i forgotten to take a picture of the breakfast! Here is is my latte! Michael & Shane

Was recommended this tidy spot for the morning after breakfast. And by golly they were spot on.Had the extra large breakfast, massive and reasonable too. A nice selection of other food too, not to mention selection cakes. Great friendly service too. Well worth a visit.

Dont waste your time looking for a decent breakfast elsewhere, The Wheelhouse is the place to go!

Stopped in here for bacon butties on the first morning of our holiday last week. Service was quick, food tasty and well priced. The café is small but I liked that and it provided welcome shelter from the heavy rain. Definitely worth a trip if you're in Minehead and want a quick bite to eat.

Called in after 2pm for late lunch.Had planned to stop to eat at Bishops Lydeard but due to torrential rain,stayed on train to return to Minehead. Clean and tidy cafe,friendly service,good food very good value for money.Both had cod and chips with peas,very nice meal.No room left for desserts in spite of our healthy appetites. Busy even on a wet afternoon. Would recommend this cafe.

Called in on Monday just before 5 guessing they were closing the manager pointed me to other places to eat.Called in today for breakfast they were far from busy, but this then gave them time for the more personal touch Food came out without delay and was all fresh nothing had been frozen from what I could see

Popped in for a quiet snack after a trip on the steam train. It's a shame that we didn't have the breakfast as reviewed yesterday! Ordered a ham & mushroom omelette and it was completely inedible, dry and tasteless. The sachet of salad cream was separated and the coleslaw was fermenting. I know it's the end of the season but really............
