The best restaurants serving Default food in Burton Bradstock West Dorset South West

My husband and I stayed for two nights at the New Inn as friends are moving into the area. The pub was very pleasant with an open fire and separate eating area that was warm and inviting, as was the landlady Andrea who really couldn't do enough for us and said, on more than one occasion, that nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation was superb. A large comfortable bed. A warm, quiet room and drinking water and biscuits were available along with the usual tea and coffee in our room. The breakfasts were delicious. Plate wasn't overloaded but every ingredient was well sourced and cooked to perfection. Cereals, juices, tea and proper coffee available too, along with a loaf of toast. Ha! Ha! We stayed for an evening meal on the Friday night with our friends. The food was VERY good and much of it was home cooked where possible. Home made pie and the home made chips were cooked to perfection. So Andrea thank you so much for your warm welcome and hospitality and we look forward to seeing you again whenever we visit. Best regards A&P

A very welcoming pub!! Very busy even on a cold wet night in February as soon as we walked through the door it felt like a good locals pub and they welcomed dogs !!! We went in not booked and it was valentines!!! But we did manage to have a table super food - we rebooked again for later in the week - the food was outstanding - in fact it seemed like a high end restaurant inside a friendly local pub staff very friendly but were so very busy. I would recommend this place to anyone in charmouth -you will not be disappointed.

We decided to treat ourselves to Sunday lunch at The Anchor and what a treat it was. Huge plates of roast beef with perfectly cooked roast potatoes and delicious veg-just the right amount of bite. The beef was tender and very tasty. My husband had the ribs as a starter which were meaty and marinated in a lovely oriental sauce. No room for pudding sadly. A lovely Sunday afternoon

Spent a couple of days at The Manor whilst visiting relatives nearby. A beautiful location with plenty of parking. Great views of the sea. Being an old manor house there is wear and tear, ie the carpets have seen better days, but the staff have worked very hard to provide the best possible experience. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back again.

Wow Went to egg cup for Sunday lunch, there was four of us and we all enjoyed it very much. We all said what lovely service and tasty meat melted in the mouth be definitely coming back! 5 starts

We walked the beach from Burton Bradstock and came across this superb restaurant set just back from the sea front. We were slightly dubious about dining there as we had our rather boisterous Weimaraner “Luther”with us and we were worried about the possibility of somehow ruining anyone else’s Al fresco dining experience. Our fears were quickly dispelled by possibly the most dog friendly welcome we’ve ever received by the young waitress at the door. This lovely welcome was followed by tremendous service, great food and best of all, a drinks menu you could easily take to bed for some late night reading. We had such a great experience….perfect I’d say, definitely made all the better by the hard working and friendly staff, oh and Luther decided not to take the place apart. All in all a class establishment….bravo.

What a lovely place. We were visiting our Auntie who lives in Puncknowle. She booked a table for us no wonder she loves it here. We were made welcome by Sue, who is the chef. The food she delivered was great. Lovely atmosphere really friendly. Highly recommend the Mediterranean Vegetable Tart. Yummy. Definitely will visit again. Well done Paul and Sue you have a great place thank you.

We were attracted by the terrace with lovely views overlooking the sea on a sunny evening. The restaurant wasn’t yet open but we were able to order drinks and light meals, which were pretty good. We did feel that service was a little inconsistent between staff members. Drinks were quite pricey but a shame we weren’t there in time for happy hour between 5-6!

Live locally and have come here a number of times post dog walking. Hive Beach cafe is all about the location, and if you enjoy slow service (as the past few visits have been), expensive for what it is food, then this is the place for you.

Well, we didn’t expect this! Just such a generous welcome from Andrea and attractively furnished rooms were just what we needed for a night’s rest on our epic Coastal Path walk. Thoughtful touches such as cool soft drinks in the room and a box of delicious biscuits, and quality shampoo and shower gels. Great choice of delicious food in the pub restaurant and much needed lager. The vegan chick pea and vegetable curry had the wow factor and was a well thought out excellently balanced meal. Breakfast too was excellent. Don’t know how you get the energy to work so hard Andrea, but you do it wonderfully and are the best host ever.

Stopped for lunch. My parents used to live about 15 miles away (they have now passed) but they took us there many years ago, The food is always great the staff very friendly, It was lovely to return and find the same quality of food and staff, Thank you for a great meal.
