Overpriced hotel. The food is below everage. The staffs are grumpy. I had a pot of tea in the afternoon. The bill has been signed. I was questioning the next day by the staff whether I have whiskey or other things! Very unfriendly attitude. Guests walked into restaurant for dinner were questioned rudely. BTW : do not buy half board offer. Nothing offer with half board deal. You will be charged normal (deduct the 35 GBP "half board" money).

Early dinner, best to reserve a table, which we done, the ser ice was excellent, sat in a cozy nook beside an open fire celebrating our wedding anniversary, ideal. Good spread of options on the menu, with daily specials available. Chose haddock fishcake, with peas and broadbeans, plaice with triple cut chips, the sweet we chose to share of apple and blackberry crumble with custard to be honest, it lacked a good crumble top, The custard didn't arrive with the crumble until requesting for it. With a couple of drinks + 12.5% service charge £80 may be considered on the high side for some, in a pub, but this is the cotswolds, staff were great apart from left not knowing what the right hand were doing with the custard.

Absolutely fabulous lunch, well cooked beautifully presented food served by professional but friendly staff. The restaurant has a wonderful warm and welcoming atmosphere. We all had a wonderful lunch and will definitely return when next in this area. The staff even presented my Mother with a Happy Birthday Dessert. Many thanks for a wonderful experience.

We stopped for some cream teas on the cafe side of the restaurant. The cream teas were tasty but a little expensive for the size of the scones. However what was truly bad was the manager, she was rude not just to us but to many customers around us. She scolded us one by one for “removing” the reserved sign on our table, even though her employee said it was a walk in table. She rudely told us “if you wanted to come here you should have reserved”. She also didn’t allow us to share our tea pot and refused to bring more cups. This attitude is honestly what made us leave so quickly, we were all uncomfortable and tired of being treated this way. It’s a shame because the cafe is very beautiful.

Bibury is such a beautiful place, we had hoped to find a pub that matched its style. This is a great spot for a basic pint and chips. The place itself is tatty and run down but served its purpose as a pit stop, we chose not to eat here.

I booked Sunday lunch (for 8) at The Swan to celebrate our wedding anniversary, having had a wonderful reception at the same venue 20 years ago. It was incredible from start to finish - a special, private table, and the warmest of welcomes. The service was attentive but not intrusive, and the extra little touches (glass of Prosecco & anniversary pudding!) just made it feel truly celebratory. The Swan will, once again become part of our family memories - thank-you to all who looked after us today. [The food was also lovely - superlative roasties & yorkshire pudding!]
