The best restaurants serving Default food in St Austell Gover Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Loved it here. The staff were great. The food is awesome, fresh, and cooked beautifully. It is well worth going; the coffee is very nice with a great selection of flavors.

During COVID lockdown I do yearn for something yummy. Thank Heavens Tom's is still open! This week I popped in for my usual Organic Sour Dough Bread, and Organic Malt Loaf, and decided to indulge in a Saffron Bun (whilst on the move). It was sooo delicious, moist, and perfect! I also managed to hide it from the ever marauding seagulls of St Austell - BEWARE!!! low flying thefts of anything eaten outside

Great little cafe, plenty of choice of snacks including Jacket potatoes, soups, sandwiches and cakes at great prices.

My partner and I stopped here today for some drinks and snacks. It was surprisingly quiet for half term. The service and food is great. Love the decor of the place. Would recommend.

Visited this place whilst we were on holiday in Cornwall. Food was amazing, so good we came back the next day for breakfast and dinner! Friendly and quick service. My only complaint is that they don’t have a branch open 300 miles away in my hometown!

Absolutely fabulous food, very good service. Decor and location leave a lot to be desired. If we hadn’t read great reviews probably wouldn’t have gone in which is such a shame as some of the best Indian food ever eaten (and we eat a lot!). If we lived closer, would be our go to restaurant.

Just to be clear, having paid around £50, a 10% discount would have been inconsequential — it wouldn’t have changed our experience or our opinion. While you claim to take constructive criticism on board, your tone reads more defensive than receptive, which only reinforces our original concerns. We had read your other reviews, which is why we had travelled all the way from bodmin to try your food. The server was really sweet and the poppadums/chutney thing was nice too - that being said, the momo’s were really a let down and here’s hoping you can see beyond the 10% discount and take our feedback onboard. We appreciate the reply and wish you the best with your future diners. Original review: Having experienced a lot of indian and nepalese restaurents so far, this was unfortunately one of the worst few ones food wise. We ordered 2 chicken momos and 1 starter lamb momo. Chicken momos could not have been more dryer. The lamb starter momos were good so we ordered another main lamb momo but they ruined the second lot of lamb momos. We tried cancelling the lamb main but they said that it was ready and would not be able to cancel. The person who served us and the owners seem quite friendly and nice, so the staff is good but food is a massive disappointment. We also ordered a gurkha beer which we enjoyed. If you are an indian, nepalese or anyone who know’s how indian or nepalese dishes should taste like, I would not recommend this place to you.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are all very helpful and friendly. The rooms are spotlessly clean. The bar and dining areas are welcoming and cosy. Great pub food and fantastic breakfasts. A lovely place to stay in the centre of St Austell. Highly recommend.

Friendly welcome and lovely interior. Menu didn't state if cakes were suitable for vegetarians and the server had to ask. On her return stated that they only had eggs and milk in them but didn't know if they included gelatine so had to ask again. Cappuccino coffees weren't very hot but were served in proper coffee cups. Had a Dubai chocolate bar cake, but thought it was very similar to a kit kat. Will visit again but will make sure to ask for coffees to be hot, and will try different cakes as they looked good.

Best Chinese takeaway in St Austall Food is outstanding and reasonably priced, The counter staff are always polite and happy to help, They also have a great delivery service as well. This is my favourite takeaway 5 stars.

Their mixed kebab is absolutely delicious

A quick glance at the website might leave you thinking that they accept cards here as they have a visa and Mastercard symbol at the bottom of the page, unfortunately only after driving out to them did i find that this is not the case. I did not feel comfortable using their QR code to do a bank transfer so we continued along the way to mcdonalds instead. To be fair to the shop had i read through the website more carefully it is clear that it's cash or bank transfer only in the shop and card for online delivery orders however in this instance I was only really looking at the website to check opening hours and so didn't feel the need to read the rest of it.

Rang up today Thursday 15th August to book a table to eat for four of us next Thursday lunchtime to be told They don't serve food anymore...very very disappointed.website needs updating...
