Kimmy's Pancakes in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Fantastic! Friendly staff, delicious food (can look small but is yummy and filling!) and a calm, welcoming atmosphere, all for a very affordable price. I would recommend reserving in advance though, as I was turned away when I didn't reserve because of how busy they were. Would highly recommend.

We were on holiday to Cornwall and we had breakfast from here everyday! Food was incredibly tasty and the pricing and the service were both amazing. We would be back here if we are visiting St Austell again.

We found this brilliant little place when looking for somewhere that does a fried/cooked breakfast as well as pancakes/waffles. We were not disappointed! The food was lovely, the service was spot on and the staff were very friendly. Even had a nice conversation about Kimmy (the cat), who inspired the name 😊 Great place to eat, I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area, and if/when were back around there, we will be going back!

Great little place to go for a family lunch. Really friendly staff. And the Nutella milkshake is incredible. We all had different toasties and they were all as good as each other, amazing consistency.

well deserved good reviews, food was fab, spotlessly clean and stylish interior, the challenge was choosing what to eat. we had potatoe pancakes with mushrooms, bacon, sour cream and cream, lingon berry sauce, delicious! so good to try a different breakfast. will definitely return for another treat. highly recommended

My sister and I had lunch here yesterday, I had the maple syrup pancakes with bacon and she had the biscoff banana crepe. Both were absolutely delicious - I wish I had room for a crepe too for dessert 😂. The staff were so friendly and the food was perfect - will definitely be visiting again.

Brilliant pancakes, wonderful decorations and the toilets are cat themed! There was a family in front of us who were with some little girls who wanted 'berry juice' except from the fact that berry juice wasn't on the menu. So we were waiting 15 minutes for these girls to accept that there was no berry juice on the menu. It was definitely worth the wait. I had a strawberry and white chocolate crepe and it was heavenly

Amazing food- had veg omelette with salad and toast, light breakfast and full breakfast - very generous portions. Dog friendly, lovely staff, not rushed despite being busy… we did reserve a table for 11.15, good time to go. Going back as good selection on menu and 13yr old son wants to go back for waffles after loving the breakfast.

We, family of 5 from London, were looking to find a place for breakfast/lunch and great coffee, and found the best place in town! Coffees were great, had few, then we had fluffy pancakes and belgian waffles, presented with whipped cream or ice cream, fruits as blueberries strawberries, melted chocolate, marshmellows! You can choose your own toppings! It was a sweet treat for everyone! Kids also had milkshakes, hot chocolate, which was so yummy as well! You can have English breakfast, potato pancakes too! Also to note we loved the atmosphere, nice and quiet, all well decorated and with the meaning! The place is all clean, menus all well presented. The owners very kind, happy to help with the menu or to suggest! Definetely recommended!!!!Thank you!!

My family stopped at Kimmy's whilst passing through St Austell, after finding it on Google whilst looking for breakfast options. Our overall visit was very pleasant. We were met at the door and shown to a table very quickly - the server was very friendly and interactive with our 2 year old son, which is always nice to see. We ordered two coffees and two portions of pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. While Our coffees arrived swiftly (and we're very nice), our food did take a little bit longer to come than you would expect for a small order, although I would stress it wasn't an annoying or unreasonably log wait. The food was delicious. It's hard to find a place that can make fluffy pancakes that taste good, however Kimmy's have nailed their recipe. Overall I was very happy with our visit. 5/5 for food and coffee quality, 3/5 for speed, 5/5 for cleanliness. Overall score is a solid 4/5, and we really hope to be passing through again in the future. Thank you Kimmy's!

We visited here multiple times whilst staying locally, and each time we had a 10/10 breakfast/brunch and top service. Dog friendly too. We would definitely recommend Kimmy's!

What a lovely place, we have been meaning to come for a while and have been blown away with the quality of food and the delicious coffee. We will definitely be back. -The potato pancakes are crispy light, fluffy and full of flavor. Proper buchers bacon. -The cheese and ham omelette is very generous with the cheese and well cooked. -Some of the best coffee in town.

Mega hearty coffee with great crepes and waffles. We drove an extra 30 minutes to St. Austell and were not disappointed.

I can also recommend the cooked breakfast - potato pancakes were exactly like at home ☺️ Coffee was awesome too, exactly how I like it. During my holiday in Cornwall I had my breakfast at Kimmi's Pancakes almost everyday. The place is very tidy and nicely decorated.

Really lovely cafe with great food and service. Love the cat theme in the decor. Selection of different sized table arrangements and a window seat area with regular seats and 2 beanbags, which a family were enjoying. We had fluffy pancakes with bacon, maple syrup and berries, and a savoury bacon and cheese crepes with lingonberry jam. Both freshy cooked and super tasty. Cappuccino and latte a good size, served at perfect temperature and decorated nicely. Real care has been taken to create a lovely atmosphere, with delicate background music, fabulous food and caring service. I would absolutely visit again.

Excellent crepes and pancakes, not sure it needed the salad tho, in the past we have had a breakfast and an omelette which were very good too. But in the winter Kimmy's is cold, the food comes out piping hot but quickly cools down because of the cold. But you are always assured of a warm welcome.

10/10, orange and carrot juice made fresh there and then, same with American style pancakes. Fresh strawberry sauce was the best. Will be back soon. Great local business.

Best place I have ever been for crepes and pancakes. The owners are charming. The menu is great for both adults and children. This is not your average English cuisine. Don't miss the chance for great food if you are in the area. Well worth a visit. 5 STARS.

Food was good, hospitality was amazing and the service was brilliant. A must try place for everyone.

Seven of us booked a table. I was served first and had finished my meal by the time my friend was served hers. Food was good, when it arrived. Three of us asked for water to drink and were automatically given bottled water. Apparently we should have asked for tap water. Only one of us was charged for bottled water as she had poured it before we queried it. The waitress was adamant- Not good customer service!

Eaten here three times and the food and coffee have always been really good. We had the full breakfast and Belgian waffle and both were delicious. Service is fast and friendly, we'll definitely be returning.

What a gem of a find! Kimmy’s pancakes are amazing! We had a pancake and a waffle and they are such good value for money, not to mention really really scrumptious! Will definitely be back again for more! Not too far from the Eden project (by car) and definitely worth the trip for a treat!

Wasn’t great. The pancake seem to be fried in some sort of oil as it had a super oily texture & there was a pool of oil on the plate. On the table next to us the waitress seem to be arguing with a customer about her order, even bought out the ticket to prove to her that the plate she had in front of her was in fact the dish she had order. I do believe that very rude & not caring for your customers. It wasn’t very pleasant to hear that while trying to eat. Overall not a great experience!

Brilliant experience at kimmys pancakes today. Amazing food and brilliant service. It was my sons 9th birthday and they made a fuss of him even put a candle in his waffle. I would recommend this as I've never tasted pancakes better.

Been in a few times and every time has been fantastic. Friendly, efficient service. Lovely coffee and the food is incredible, whether you go for their signature waffles or a savoury breakfast, the standard is top notch. It's a crime that so few people know about this hidden gem.

Lovely place, beautiful food. Open kitchen so you can see how hard the staff are working to give us freshly made food - exceptional. The milk chocolate is proper chocolate which although delicious is slightly bitter so I'd recommend white chocolate and/or Nutella for the kids! Top marks all round :)

Amazing food, with lovely presentation. Good range of options. Quick and friendly service. Clean. Nicely decorated and atmosphere was good. Kid friendly, no kids menu but the portion was a good size that it’s not too much for a kid but still enough for an adult.

Loved being introduced to Kimmy’s today. The menu was different and interesting. Several types of waffles and pancakes, sweet and savoury. I wanted to try potato pancakes as never had them. Delicious with the sour cream and lingonberry jam. Husband had the maple pancakes with bacon equally delicious but the star was our friend’s Belgian waffle with banana and melted chocolate. It was really delicious. Cappucino was good and the mint tea. Really want this new cafe to succeed as they deserve to. Spread the word!

I went to grab late breakfast. The breakfast selection is small but enough. I was surprised to find omelettes. I had the ham and cheese one and it was great. Delicious fresh juice and coffee.

Kimmy’s Pancakes looks great and the food is even better. Inside it’s modern, spacious and very comfy. The staff are really friendly and there’s a great selection of cooked breakfasts, omelettes, pancakes, waffles and drinks, at very reasonable prices. Even as a vegetarian there was a lot to choose from. I tried the intriguing potato pancakes with mushrooms, sour cream and lingonberry jam. The flavours really worked well together and the pancakes made the potato taste light, yet still substantial. The owner told me that potato pancakes are popular in Germany and Holland, and I’m sure soon in St Austell too! I also plumped for a plum milkshake, which was delicious. If you’re in St Austell, this place must be tried.
