The best restaurants serving Default food in Hungerford West Berkshire South East

I felt I must write to say how much I thoroughly enjoyed lunch at The Tutti Pole recently. Two friends joined me, where they opted for toasted sandwiches - delicious I'm sure, but I'd spent a few hours in the garden, and had worked up a huge appetite. As such, a full English breakfast was required to fully satisfy my hunger (and it certainly did) Everything was beautifully presented, and most importantly, my fried eggs were cooked to perfection ! Ice creams were enjoyed for dessert, ending a wonderful lunch. I hear this family run business has been serving customers for 43 years. My goodness, 43 years - now that's impressive, but in a way it's hardly surprising, because when you have a lovely team of friendly staff who greet you with a warm welcome, plus offer a tempting assortment of scrumptious food, then you can expect that business to flourish, and have a long and healthy future. Good old fashioned service, combined with a pleasurable eating experience are the hallmarks of the Tutti Pole (more than 4 decades in business confirms this)

Without doubt, the WORST bacon sandwich ever. £4 for sliced white, 3 slices of tasteless undercooked bacon, and a drizzle of brown sauce. I will feel ripped off until I die. AVOID. Absolute rubbish. Only 1 star because I can't leave 0 stars.

Friendly welcome on a cold night . Open fire added to the warmth . Good choice of beer , great menu , reasonably priced. All staff were lovely. Food served promptly ,hot and very tasty ! So good we went back the next night as well 🙂

Cafe hardly has any food. Asked if they did toasted sandwiches and was rudely told “whatever is in the fridge”. There was nothing in the fridge. Service was rude and disinterested.

I’m a member of an Andover walking group. 9 of us having walked on the Common and along the canal returned to town and lunch. We had heard that the kitchen at the pub is now being run by “Three Sisters”who originate from Thailand, have only been at the Plume for 4 weeks. All of us without exception were delighted with our shared starters and mains which varied with a choice 1 of 10 + authentic Thai favourites enjoyed by all and will no doubt return in the near future. It was quiet on our visit market day, but we’re told by the ladies it’s already very busy at other times, probably a good idea to book.

Amazing service, and great food.

It's a lovely setting and the cafe is big, airy and well staffed so it seems for a Saturday. The food was good. Clearly fresh. The prices though are fairly high for what you are getting. £2.50 for 2 rashers of bacon... normal bacon. Not thick amazing, straight from the butchers bacon either. Perhaps it was a supply issue that day - but it's an awful lot of money for what you receive. £2.00 for one flat mushroom - is also a tad excessive! The cakes are very expensive so we didn't let our children have a slice each as it would have come in just shy of £10.

It’s a take away. It was ok. Had better and had worse. Curries a bit watery and lacking in heat ( chilli) but perfectly average

This was horrible fish and chips. Large cod was just a few flakes in rotten greasy batter made with stale old oil. Don't ever get the sausage, it is truly disgusting. A cash only, yep, cash only shop that serves terrible rotten food. Avoid at all cost. Don't say, but I told you so.

Place used to be spot on. Food burnt, not prepared well. This is the third poor meal. Can't believe how far this place has dropped in quality.
