The best restaurants serving Default food in Culverden Tunbridge Wells South East

Lovely addition to the Tunbridge Wells casual dining scene. There has been a need for a real Mexican restaurant for years, not Tex mex rubbish of previous establishments. Great selection of cocktails 🍸 tequila, mescal & passionate staff.to talk you through the menu. Could do with a slightly extended menu as the food on offer is so good & more music to add to atmosphere.

This small restaurant opend under a new owner just before lockdown v1 and is now having an opportunity to establish itself. Arrived for Sunday lunch at about 13.45 and we were somewhat concerned to see that we were to be the only people in the restaurant! We need not have worried as the food and service were excellent. And we were told that a large party had just left. This is a great addition to the T.Wells food offer.

Cool shop for quickly things and coffees. Home baked cake’s are delicious. Overall all the ladies there are wonderful and makes your visit fun.

How many times do I walk past this place each week? Lots! I went in a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed a delicious coffee and a cake. Sitting at a stool in the window, I watched the world go by. Will I go in again? Yes but not at lunchtime because it is crowded with pupils from nearby schools ---- good for the shop!

I have got take aways from this restaurant before and I wanted to invite a friend of mine to experience Persian food, hence I sent restaurant an email to book a table via the email address enquiry@dizzipersiancuisine.co.uk after 8 days I did not get a reply ! I even ,called them at various times on different phone numbers but no answer and due to their Web site design the opening hours was not clear as all days were on the top of each other! See picture , so I booked a table at the Turkish restaurant Zorba on line and I got a confirmation straight away . We decided to drive to the Persian restaurant 1st as both restaurants are close to each other and see if they are open? To my Surprise they were open and I mentioned the trouble I had to contacting them to the lady in the restaurant who was very apologetic and when I mentioned it to the guy who seemed to be In charge,instead of apologising , he replied they have not had any problems with their phone! Under normal circumstances I would have gone somewhere else! We went to the trouble of canceling the other reservation as well. The lady waiter was very efficient and polite and took our order. The food was very well prepared and were nice . My friend was happy and said it well worth it .Please sort out your Website and reply to email for reservation as this will save a lot time. My compliments to your Chef .

The coffee is lovely here with a great selection. Decor is very cool, a lot of thought has gone into making the experience unique and welcoming. Had to take a picture of my bike outside!

We walked in because we were looking for a coffee and we were amazed by the decor and the friendliness of the team. We are definitely going back soon.

Absolutely lovely place inside The Trinity Theatre. The menu is simple and reasonably priced, but the food is tasty with decent portions. I had a sweet potato quesadillas which was crisp on the outside with a delicious filling, and a nice side salad. I sat outside where there were plenty of tables, and it was a beautiful spot in the sun with the smell of all the fresh flowers. There are umbrellas for those seeking shade. The staff were very attentive, friendly and quick. Highly recommended for a light lunch in the town centre.

They claimed to have the best negroni in Tunbridge Wells, I concur. Probably the best in all the Home Counties and top service too. A little gem, definitely worth a visit. Thanks lads

The number of times I've passed this place coming out the station in the late eve! What a miss indeed! A great little gem in Tunny Wells. Food is fantastic, the drinks are well mixed and they have an epic selection of Mezcal and Tequila. Plus the owner is super nice and knowledgable too!

We booked a table by ringing, two weeks in advance. When we arrived the table had been rebooked by someone else. They had given our table away as we didn’t respond to the confirmation message, which they had sent to the wrong number. How can you get the wrong number when we phone you on our mobile, with our number! The waitress made it seem like it was our fault because we didn’t book on the website. They didn’t give us any prior warning as they had used the wrong number. All in all poorly organised and wouldn’t recommend.

Just finished my takeaway beef rendang with papaya salad. Very good, very authentic I think. The beef was a little tough but, it always is with beef rendang. The flavour was great. The papaya salad was fresh, vibrant and a good zingy balance. Will definitely come here again.

There was a event 90's Nostalgia Saturday 8th of March 2025 and I wasn't very happy with the fact that the photos of the event were very very misleading. The photos had a relaxing and lovely set up but the reality was the toilets were disgusting and water 💦 all over the floor which is a health and safety hazard and anyone can slip especially with high heels and the music was very deafening you can't hear anyone speak to you. No thank you not for me. The only good news I can say is that the bouncer at the front was very friendly and deserves a raise.

Lovely place, great selection of beers on offer on cask, keg, and in the fridge, decent hotdogs and friendly staff. Can happily spend lots of time working your way through all they have available!

Where to start, the traditional taftoon bread was the shop bought pita bread, all of the starters tasted like manufactured and put on the plate with ridiculous prices. Rice portions super small. Overall I would rather have a sandwich than eating at Persian Lounge.
