Lovely place, great selection of beers on offer on cask, keg, and in the fridge, decent hotdogs and friendly staff. Can happily spend lots of time working your way through all they have available!

Good prices. Friendly staff. One regular who is so annoying stops me from going back.

We came here for my birthday dinner. The service was great. The atmosphere was fantastic and as for the food it was very enjoyable. I've missed bill's restaurant for so long as where I live. It got closed down. Shame it's not there anymore

Great, healthy food options, plus naughty cake-related stuff. Hot drinks good, and they have a loyalty system. Staff friendly.

We tried the new Clocktower Bistro expecting mediocre food. We were pleasantly surprised at the service (very busy) and delighted with our lunch, a creamy jacket potato with cheese and home made coleslaw plus a good crisp. side salad...all for £6.50. Great value will use regularly.

We stayed here for one night and they upgraded us to a spacious room, which was nice. However, I expected the bathroom to be larger than the one in the room we originally booked, especially since most rooms seem to have both a bathtub and a separate shower. Also, there was no conditioner provided in the bathroom. The wellness center has a very strange layout. There are two separate gym areas, and to get from the swimming pool to the changing room, you basically have to walk a bit —or run if you’re cold, as you need to walk passed a communal hallway. As you can see, the state of the changing room was terrible, with hair and debris everywhere, and it was also very cramped. The swimming pool itself is quite small, and there’s really no need for a shallow/deep end. There was also debris at the bottom of the pool, and to be honest, we were rather concerned of the lack of chlorine smell! Moving on to breakfast, the egg royale definitely not worth the £4 supplement. The eggs royale was disappointing, the muffin was stale and there was only a small amount of smoked salmon. As for the full English breakfast, the mushrooms were chewy, and the bacon—how long had it been sitting there??? We gave feedback to the staff and later, we received a call stating they would like to compensate us for the breakfast by deducting some money. In the end, they took off £10 but still charged the £4 supplement; so essentially, we only got £6 off that awful breakfast. On the positive side, the spa treatment was lovely. We both enjoyed our facials and would definitely recommend them. The staff on-site were also generally friendly and helpful. The interior of the hotel was lovely too. Also, very close to town. Overall, I doubt we’ll be returning.

Good ingredients but cold and worst poached egg I have ever seen. Service is non existent!!! How they had the nerve to serve this is beyond me… On a positive it is clean and toilet okay.

We went for a special birthday lunch with a guest who is very hard of hearing. A table in a quiet alcove had been booked to cater for his disability. When we arrived, on time, this table had been given to others, seriously detracting from the experience. Whilst the staff on duty were friendly and helpful, there were not enough of them; the service was slow. Apart from the main course fish, the portions were very small. This particularly applies to the thimbleful of mushy peas served to my wife. The expense of refurbishment of this restaurant was wasted. The venue is letting down the reputation of Tunbridge Wells. We will not visit again.
