We tried the new Clocktower Bistro expecting mediocre food. We were pleasantly surprised at the service (very busy) and delighted with our lunch, a creamy jacket potato with cheese and home made coleslaw plus a good crisp. side salad...all for £6.50. Great value will use regularly.

We wanted to patronise Trinty Arts cafe and so booked a table. Hardly anyone was in there when we arrived at 12:30. The Spartan menu was limited even even more because a lot of the selections were not available or were restricted to one portion being left. The service was okay but the food was not good. We wished that we had tried somewhere else. Will we eat here again? No.

We wanted to enjoy a snack and drink before a show but had to queue for ages to be served. Once we had ordered, it was impossible to find a seat and so we nibbled standing up. We won't bother again before a show.

Lunch - and we had a special request to adjust the order we had made. No worries - it was no bother and staff handled it perfectly. There are sandwiches and forms and sizes <G> but also other lovely lunch menus which we saw being made.

Went to a Local & Live Session and the bar was not staffed to cope with an interval whatsoever. One girl who did nothing wrong but she was on her own whilst a “floor manager”? just paced up and down seeing everyone queue and get more and more frustrated...am sure she could have poured a pint or at least apologised for the situation....?

Really nice for quick, informal lunch. Nice home cooked food and friendly people. Nice atmosphere. Great place to go with friends or even if you are on your own.

Brilliant little cafe, seven of us and a baby took over a small area in the cafe and were surprised how accommodating the staff were. The Bar staff were a little distracted and the chef took our order, and gave us some suggestions of of what to eat. We were very grateful that she offered to heat up some baby food for us. We had a great little early lunch and had a wide selection of the menu, from soup to bacon sandwiches and from quiche to cakes. To prevent food envy we shared the food amongst the group and were left happy and satisfied. I would high recommend the muffins. For an early lunch the cafe was brilliant, and fulfilled everything that we wanted. If you order a large pot of tea if will happily serve two but served three of us. the small pot of tea will only serve one. The only criticism would be the staff behind the bar who were more interested in talking amongst themselves than severing customers. However the chef who was fulfilling roles in both her role in the kitchen and a role behind the bar more than made up for them. She even took time to apologise for any delay in servering the food (of which there was no noticeable delay) The wifi wasn't too bad for checking emails on a phone but i wouldn't expect to rely on it for anything important

Looking for a coffee we stumbled across this gem, as we live in France we do not understand the English coffee menus but the young lady was very happy to explain all.

Super cakes, lovely coffee, helpful staff, and wifi. There is often a quiet spot for work or a chat with friends, and if the sun is shining - sit outside on the new terrace.

I come here often at different times for meetings and events. Sometimes I sit and watch the changing types of people come in as the day moves on. Sometimes I meet up with work colleagues. Sometimes I eat their good quality, generous simple food - jacket with tuna and a glass of wine, last time. The people serving behind the outer are friendly, patient and measured. If it is busy - once 40 people wanted feeding at a Saturday event - there is no chance you will get your food soon. If it is normal, the food is delivered quickly. Coming here soon becomes like putting on an old favourite sweater - a little nest, especially for single people amidst the Tunbridge Wells bustle

En ocasiones me pop para un almuerzo ligero. Tengo dos veces la chaqueta patatas con verduras asadas, que no sólo es saludable, pero especialmente sabroso. La ensalada de col que lo acompaña también fue excelente.

Great place to drop into if you want a quick cup of coffee (and/or snack). The service is quick and friendly and the coffee is good. You can either drink it in your vehicle or at the outdoor tables (with good views across the surrounding countryside), as long as it's not raining or cold.

A lovely lunch today … tasty shepherds pie my partner had the lamb shank, which was beautifully cooked. I would highly recommend a visit to Waterside cafe, great food at a reasonable price, welcoming staff and all in a great setting overlooking beautiful lake! Will be back again!

Var en tur i Calverley Grounds for en gåtur og da der kom en regn byge valgte vi at gå ind i denne lille hyggelig cafe. Her er servering både inde og ude. Hyggelig typisk engelsk.

Turned up for lunch whilst travelling through and met for a family lunch. First impressions of the decor were excellent and the whole experience lived up to that first impression. Superbly made & presented food, absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Andy, the main chef, is clearly very dedicated to producing superb food. Our waiter, Don Vito, was brilliant at his job and clearly enjoyed it very much and took his quality of service very seriously. He is a great character and is good fun. An asset to this restaurant. We will be back for sure.
