Dizzi Persian Cuisine in Tunbridge Wells - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

I have got take aways from this restaurant before and I wanted to invite a friend of mine to experience Persian food, hence I sent restaurant an email to book a table via the email address enquiry@dizzipersiancuisine.co.uk after 8 days I did not get a reply ! I even ,called them at various times on different phone numbers but no answer and due to their Web site design the opening hours was not clear as all days were on the top of each other! See picture , so I booked a table at the Turkish restaurant Zorba on line and I got a confirmation straight away . We decided to drive to the Persian restaurant 1st as both restaurants are close to each other and see if they are open? To my Surprise they were open and I mentioned the trouble I had to contacting them to the lady in the restaurant who was very apologetic and when I mentioned it to the guy who seemed to be In charge,instead of apologising , he replied they have not had any problems with their phone! Under normal circumstances I would have gone somewhere else! We went to the trouble of canceling the other reservation as well. The lady waiter was very efficient and polite and took our order. The food was very well prepared and were nice . My friend was happy and said it well worth it .Please sort out your Website and reply to email for reservation as this will save a lot time. My compliments to your Chef .

Saturday 29/4/23 evening.. Absolutely beautiful food, thank you to the fabulous waitress who was so attentive and the fantastic cook… and what a beautiful restaurant, great original decor.

We'd been meaning to try Dizzi for a few months. So pleased we did, the menu was interesting and food delicious. The huge flatbread was great, as was the halloumi starter. Mains were big portions, served with rice and salad. Both our meat kebabs were tender and juicy, really well marinated and cooked on a huge charcoal grill. Service was polite if a bit hesitant. Shame the restaurant wasn't more busy and atmospheric, but it was a weeknight with torrential, sideways rain outside! Hope it's usually busier than that as it's well worth discovering. We would definitely go back.

Authentic Persian food and great service. We are local and have Persian family so can attest to the authenticity of the food.

I enjoyed a lunchtime visit to this gem of a restaurant with my family today. Having a mixed Iranian/ English background, we know our firm restaurant favourites and have become good judges of the range in quality. This was a new restaurant for us, and we were all very pleased with the quality, and authenticity of the food and the excellent service. If we were local this would become a regular favourite, highly recommended. My 10 year old told me to make sure I put a 5* review on trip advisor. The staff made my family so welcome and indulged my boys attempts to use a little of their Farsi when ordering and asking for the bill. As ever we ordered too much but taking the leftovers away was no problem and my boys were delighted to finish it off for dinner tonight. We left with happy tummies and happy faces and will definitely be recommending to our local friends and eating here again on future visits to Tunbridge Wells.

Lovely friendly service, and very interesting food. My aubergine/tomato starter with lovely pitta bread was fabulous, and I really enjoyed the meat skewers I had. If anything for me, in my 70s, the portions are a little big, but I don't think people normally complain about that!

The restaurant is family run with amazingly fresh food. A great selection of dishes to cater for a variety of tastes whether you prefer grilled meats, traditional stews or vegetarian mezes, you are well looked after. Freshly baked bread and generous portions as well as decently spaced tables, this is one of the best Persian restaurants I've been to in the UK. Absolutely worth a visit.

My friend and I visited Dizzi on a Saturday evening. We were given a warm welcome and received excellent service throughout the evening. Persian cuisine is largely meat-oriented so I wasn’t sure how I’d fare as a vegan, but I needn’t have worried as the vegan options were delicious. We opted to share a number of starters and a main course. The portions were generous and everything we ordered was delicious and very fresh. Persian salad in particular is wonderful, the simplest of ingredients but very fresh and finely chopped. The hummus was delicious. We ordered aubergine khoresht which was divine. Persian rice is so wonderful and Dizzi’s is delectable. The diners around us were suitably pleased with their meat dishes, again generous portions of skewers of beautifully cooked food. We loved the decor and ambience. Prices are very reasonable. I plan to return regularly, it’s so good to find an excellent independent restaurant. We chatted to the owner and found out that they are a husband and wife team running the restaurant on their own. They are so hospitable and clearly very hard-working. The waitress was very polite and friendly.

Outstanding food and service. Very Friendly. The waiter was good at recommending and explaining. There were no complaints at all. Good sized portions and excellent quality. First time but certainly not the last. The Pink Prosecco was great! The ladies loved it.
