As someone with Italian heritage, I’m always on the lookout for food that truly captures the flavours of my Nonna - and “Little Italy” in Sunbury did exactly that. I had the Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia, and it was absolutely outstanding. The prawns were packed with flavour and the sauce was rich and delicious— not to mention the rarity it is to find black pasta on an English menu ! It was easily on par with anything I’ve eaten in Italy.
I also had a couple of Peronis, served perfectly cold, which made the whole experience even better. There is a clear sense of pride both for Italy and for the restaurant and the product/ service provided from the staff within, an absolute pleasure all round.
Little Italy delivers an authentic taste of Italy right here in Sunbury. Highly recommended for anyone who loves proper Italian food done right.
I ordered 2 x poached eggs on toast. Unfortunately. The eggs weren’t poached they were hard boiled. I would have boiled eggs myself if that’s what I wanted, slightly disappointed
The restaurant was also completely empty other than us and one other table when we went and both us and the other table were cramped into the same corner, which felt odd.
The food was relatively good but I have no interest in returning as the waiter kept referring to my girlfriend and the friend we were with as sir when neither of them are men or looked like one.
We usually came for coffee and cake, but decided to have a go on the breakfast and we were not dissapointed. Full Endlish was great for my husband and bacon with brie and cranberry toastie was very good for me. Coffe was tasty too!
