Really friendly, welcoming people run this coffee bar. The coffee is brewed to perfection. The tea is strong and flavoursome. The toasted sandwiches are filled to the brim and very tasty. The cakes are moist and delicious. The outlook is pleasant due to the flowers and plants. The atmosphere, cosy and inviting. They also serve ice cream, toasties, waffles, and smoothies. The ice creams in waffle cones are amazing. The ice cream goes right down to the bottom, so every bite is a delight. This is a place we visit time and again. It comes very highly recommended indeed.

The best place for Sunday lunch and has been for a while. The service is lovely. Welcoming and organised. The cocktails are the best for miles. Still love it and still one of our top choices.

Amazing british atmosphere, food was so delicious, and dessert was incredible. There is small playground, so kids wont get bored.

I found this place on the map, it felt like an independent island, so I went there out of curiosity. There are many yachts for sale moored in the lake. The outdoor location is very comfortable and feels close to nature. The coffee tastes average.

A great experience. Taste to rock your boots. The langoustine and Pork belly are amazing. The scollops are best I have ever tasted ( And I love scollops). The lamb with haggis was great and the chocolate fondant was a burst of brilliant taste with Guinness ice cream. Cooking to a Michelin style standard with a warm friendly service. Brilliant well done to chefs and staff

It doesn't get any better than this. What a great place for that very special meal. I cannot fault it in any way. Wonderful views from the dining room, great service and the best food.

French Horn is no longer open. It closed last year and is up for sale

Six of us ordered different mains. All of us enjoyed our meals a lot. The service was excellent. We could hear each other speak. To summarise, not only was better all round than anywhere we have been in a 10 mile radius it was also much better value. Highly recommend.

The worst roast I have ever had!! I took my mum out for Mother’s Day and first of all we were greeted with a message which said ‘We have given up our ‘Mother’s Day’ so you can enjoys yours. Please be with us as it is very busy….thank you’ . It was a set menu of 3 courses for £35 and the whole meal was tasteless. The prawn cocktail was vinegary, the roast beef was tasteless and tuff like old boots! Cauliflower cheese was mushy/very over cooked and the gravy with the rest of the roast vegetables had no flavour. For desert we all had crumble with ice cream and the crumble was inedible with burnt/black bits in it. The service and atmosphere were none existent and the whole experience was very disappointing. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the New Inn pub!

Recientemente celebramos una celebración familiar, en el Hombro de Mutton, por los cumpleaños 16 y 18 de mis nietos. La comida (el almuerzo del domingo) era excelente, Nuestros vegetarianos estaban bien atendidos, y el personal era amable, alegre y acogedor e hizo todo lo posible para que el día fuera un éxito. Teníamos el conservatorio para nosotros, lo que era una ventaja. Sé que estuvo muy ocupado ese día, pero no puedo agradecer lo suficiente a todo el personal por su arduo trabajo. Tuvimos una celebración maravillosa.

We were there on the 29th March, table of thirteen, how impressed I was with everything, from booking to the the final payment, we had to pre order our meal because of the amount of people, it was very well organised couldn't fault the professionalism, the food was excellent, very friendly staff,everything went so smoothly, thanks for a great evening, definitely book again tgsnks

¡Este hermoso pub familiar es una pequeña joya! Es acogedor y acogedor y celebramos la recepción fúnebre de mi padre -en-ley en el precioso conservatorio, que era perfecto para 30 personas. Alan y Wendy organizaron todo, lo que significaba que no teníamos que preocuparnos por nada. El buffet era delicioso, incluyendo quiche casero y bocadillos y el servicio era excelente. Gracias Amy y Anais por cuidarnos a todos. ¡Ayudaste a convertir un día triste en una familia alegre! Gracias Alan y Wendy.

Dinner, service, room and breakfast were first rate in all respects. Everything in the room worked and we had a peaceful and comfortable stay. All the staff were helpful, pleasant and professional and the kitchen should be commended on producing tasty, nicely presented offerings of good proportions and from a comprehensive and varied menu. This puts greatly more costly and pretentious establishments into an interesting perspective.

My wife and I had a fantastic evening two course meal with dessert. Absolutely delicious and a reasonable price. Service was first class we would highly recommend, but book early gets busy.
