Staying in the hotel down the road and read about this place. What a find! Stunningly good food and lovely people. I honestly don’t think I’ve had a better biryani. Some great twists on the usual Indian food as well. I had the Thali and it was utterly delicious.
*BEST DECISION*
I went there few 4-5 times before with friends and family.
We had an Iftar dinner party. We chose Taste of Karachi for the food over spice village. I must say that it was the best decision. The food was amazinggggg. Everybody kept asking us at the venue and even after party where we got the food from. We ordered for 90 people.
We had lamb seekh kebabs, papri chaat, lamb badami qorma, chicken biryani, kheer, salad, naan and raita. Every single was delicious. I have never eaten such scrumptious kheer before.
They gave us huge potions. A lot of food was left which we brought home (it was already mentioned by the owner Shahbaz bhai that a lot of food would be left for you guys take home). They delivered the food with a lot of care.
I would highly recommend them and will go with them again in future In sha Allah.
Very pleasantly surprised . lovely simple sandwiches very good value, very clean. Cakes are made in house and are worth the visit. Coffee is ground and brewed in-house. Lovely staff! Will be back.
One of my favourite pubs, has a lovely atmosphere and delicious food. The manager Suresh is also lovely and welcoming and always provides the best service for us.
Lovely atmosphere, good music and food was excellent. We tried the Amritsari Kulcha which was delicious and really filling. My parents also tried the paneer tikka masala, aloo gobi and tarka dahl with garlic naan. Portion sizes were really good and quite filling. Balwinder and Gurpreet served us and were great, smiles on faces and were so friendly. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to all friends and family. 10/10 all the way!
When we arrived the restaurant was empty and very cold was thinking of leaving but glad we didn’t
Food was excellent no issues with any dish we all throughly enjoyed it
We stopped at the Hilton Heathrow the night before our flight, but didn't want to pay their prices for breakfast. This cafe is 7 minute walk away, and was less than half the price of the hotel. The food was plentiful and hot, including a steaming mug of coffee too! Well worth the short walk if you have time!
Went out with family to steak out in slough yesterday. Disappointed with the service. It wasn’t busy but food took a long time. Waitresses were all at the bottom and you can never find anyone to ask a question. You have to get up and look for them. They forgot some of our order too and we had to get their attention to ask where it was. Service was the worst it’s been in a while. No offer for a discount. Really disappointed that they have no drinks outside the boycott list. The mocktails will have sprite etc in them too. I would suggest adding drinks like tango irn bru. Really upset the service this time round.
2nd visit in 2 years and was change over in management. Wayne (current manager) was very accommodating and provided free bottle of bubbly for mine and my partners Anniversary meal reservation and was really touched by the personal reservation board on table when we arrived....please see attached photo. Great atmosphere and ample inside and outdoor seating especially for summer which is ideal for families, couples, groups etc and they provide weekly to monthly entertainment which is a bonus
My partner and I visited today after phoning to see if they were showing the Everton vs Brentford game. Ian answered the phone and reassured us that he would make sure the game was on. He also kindly reserved a table for us to make sure we could see the game.
We attended and saw that Ian had allocated a table for us close to the television. The sound was turned to a volume so that we could hear the commentary without the other guests having their meal disturbed. The service throughout the evening was excellent, the food was delicious and delivered quickly and the seating was comfortable and spacious. The quality of the food is fantastic when considering the price of the food (only £5 for a build your own burger and chips on a Wednesday). We had a really lovely evening thanks to Ian and his team.
We come here for our family get-togethers, 2-3 times per year. Family lives, variously, in Kent, Gloucester, Bristol, Worthing, Eastbourne, Bramley, and Hailsham. We need somewhere to meet where the driving is roughly equal, easy to find, and good parking. We've been to a few places but the Kings Head is by far the best. Staff are really great, nothing is too much trouble.
And the food is very good. A good, varied, menu so there's something to suit everyone. Two of us need gluten-free which is easy with you.
I can't fault it and I've stopped looking at other places now.
Akaya Lounge offers a stylish, upscale atmosphere with a great cocktail menu and skilled bartenders. The food features fusion-inspired small plates, though some dishes can be hit-or-miss. Service is friendly, but can be slower during busy times. Overall, it’s a solid spot for drinks and a trendy night out, though prices are on the higher side.
Oyan had great service.
Used to live in slough back in 2013. I thought this review was posted but found out in 2021 that its it was still in draft so here it goes lol.
As a nepali, I never had a polish food before. One day i was just exploring slough, saw a polish restaurant and decided to try my very first polish meal and it certainly did not disappoint. Portions were big and colorful, it was well seasoned, very tasty with polish beer. I would go once a week there. I still remember after all these years. I would love to go there again.
Typical working café, cheap and cheerful. We visited here at 7 am one Friday morning as a place to stop after a very early start on a long journey.
It is very rough and ready but the food was v good and generous, would have given 5 star but they made a mistake on the order, which the waitress blamed on fat fingers when posting the order!!
