Stakeout in Slough

I’m actually a regular in Steakout I’ve been going religiously for years and the service and food has always been great. However… On my last two visits it has been very poor both service and food. My food has been quite burnt on both visits and the service is atrocious. Long waits, no one coming to check in, wrong orders. On my visit today; The lady in the hijab has no customer service and no manners how to talk. Long story short we ordered a chicken burger which it says on the menu has mayonnaise in it for my son. He is very particular with sauce and will only have mayo. When my burger arrive it had their house sauce which was also a little on the spicy side. I actually very nicely asked the waitress to change the burger we literally didn’t touch it like one bite but I had halved it so he could eat it. Firstly the lady kept arguing with me that all the burgers come with the sauce when I proceeded to say well it doesn’t say it on the menu, so that’s a error from them and therefore they need to rectify the issue now. I’ve attached the picture the lady in the hijab kept proceeding to argue and disregard what I was saying. Secondly she then said we won’t change the burger only the bun. When the burger was quite obviously smothered in that sauce and secondly now could. Even if they re heated it why would I want a burger that’s was made 20 mins ago. I said no, I would like a new one since it has not only gotten cold but as I mentioned had all that sauce on it. She then proceeded to bring me the same burger back in another bun. I was at this point very annoyed mh son was hungry and just running livid and just that time of day. The lady in the hijab then progressed to say I should have ordered from the kids menu and it was my fault? I was actually very shocked with her attitude and behaviour at this point. There was no empathy that this meal was for a hungry toddler. The fact of the matter is that the burger was wrong as I said I am a regular. I knew it was wrong I’ve had it many time before, but she kept arguing with me even though she supposed to be a new employee. Rather than trying to rectify it. She could see I was getting fitted and didn’t try to resolve or diffuse the issue. In hein sight she didn’t care, she even had the cheek to laugh and chuckle I. This situation. I actually will not be returning to steak out for this reason despite being a regular. I would much rather go to Nando’s at-least they don’t give rubbish customer service. It’s a shame because in the past Steakout have hired some real gems such as toofilio, komal and Harjeet. I think Steakout needs to look at who they hire and need to have someone on shift who knows what they are talking about and can rectify the issue. There was actually no one there to take accountability. Rudeness doesn’t get you anywhere we are all human and make mistakes. An apology goes a long way. Also it’s so cold in there like your sitting in a fridge I mean abit ridiculous since your pay £100 + for a meal and freezing to death. Even Chaiwala was nice and warm and they literally sell tea for £3. I approached another lady in glasses and explained the situation to her and she did apologise in the end and offer a free dessert etc but by that point I had just lost the will to live and my patience had really ran thin. A free nothing was going to lighten the mood. I actually declined with dignity and left as I really felt humiliated by the previous encounter with that women.

Had a great birthday 🎉🎂 experience. Sheroz was excellent at looking after us. And helped us celebrate in style with complimentary cake, complete with fireworks and party atmosphere 🎆 🎇 🥳 🎉 Angus burger is highly recommended. Lovely birthday treat.

This place is dimly lit for a reason. Probably the most filthy eatery I have been in. How this place has survived without a shutdown from the health inspector amazes me. Some of the tables have these plastic lino coverings that still have bits or charred food on it. The toilet was horrific. The toilet bowl is brown and this doesn't happen overnight. That takes a long time to form with basin filled with either hand wash remnants or the leftovers of someone shavings. Its a real shame as the food was really nice. Other thing to mention is that the wait staff don't greet you. You have to initiate the conversation like they are the ones who are being inconvenienced by your presence

Nice food but the staff took to long to make the food and didn't speak English They also siad they'll get my food and took 15 minutues to get it!!!

I found the food and restaurant to be great only have a couple of criticism we was placed by the child d play area so was a little noisy. Also most of the found other than the steak was so spicy which is not a bad thing but if you don’t like spicy food it is hard to eat. Our son had some chicken with bar sauce which was ridiculously spicy

We visited as a family after a day out at Thorpe park. We had a very enjoyable experience, which was made possible by Jay. He provided us with excellent service. He knew about the food which was on the menu which was great as some staff don’t in other places. The kids loved him as he made them feel special by putting their colouring in which they did on the wall. This place is a great place to bring the family. Especially if u have small children as they have a little soft play area. The food was so good. The kids menu was fantastic so much to pick from. Deffo a place to visit. Just wish it was closer for us as we are from Sheffield. Next time we are down south we will have to visit again.

I visited here last night with my family, we were seated straight away and our waiter (Jay) looked after us very well! The food was outstanding (as always) and was served very quickly, which was perfect as we were very hungry! Thanks again, Steakout, we will definitely be back, and thanks Jay for looking after us all so well!

This place was recommended to me by a friend and on visiting was such a let down. I ordered a philly steak, it arrived on a sizzling platter which meant it was still cooking as it sat on the counter waiting to be sent out. When I got it, it was tough and full of gristly unchewy bits that I had to spit out on three occasions. When I complained to the waiter, he proceeded to make excuses and started cutting the steak at the table, in front of us all and saying it looked fine apart from the large lump of fat that was attached to it. I disagreed showed him the fat I had already cut off, he eventually agreed to get me another. When that arrived it was no better, tough and over cooked. It was far from a tender piece of steak and at £19 felt very ripped off! Would not be recommending to anyone for sure!

Good food, but unfortunately the service is always so terrible. Waiting staff are constantly getting the orders wrong, or one member of the group receives their meal when the rest of the table have finished theirs.The worst being, waiting staff having bad body odour when serving at the table.These problems are encountered on every visit I have eaten here. Maybe six times in total.

Where do I begin...made a booking for a dinner with the wife. Got made to wait twenty five minutes for a table after having chased staff three times about having been left waiting. Each staff member said,”sure just give me one minute” and then never came back. The place was filled with horrible rude boy type idiots wearing jogging bottoms and man bags and who thought speaking to one another = shouting at one another, literally could not have a conversation with the wife that’s how loud it was. Ordered starters, got told 5 minutes after ordering that they had run out of onion rings, the chicken wings that came were dry and mediocre at best. I ordered their new Big Ben burger thinking it would be good because it’s a steaks and burgers place, what came was a salty heap of dry meat and cheap cheese. The chilli fries were soggy and inedible. The wife ordered a philli cheese steak sandwich and got a burnt sub role with three small strips of meat covered in cheap horrible cheese and vegetables. Asked for a glass of ice water and got luke warm water 10 minutes later. Gave feedback/complained to the staff and the supervisor who instead of taking it on board straight away started to make excuses. All in all a terrible place filled with not very pleasant people (staff included, who could also be heard arguing loudly with one another in the kitchen).

A good deal at lunch time a starter and a main for 9.99 Chips were not up to scratch but was quickly rectified. Good service will return

We were truly and utterly made to feel uncomfortable with the service that we encountered today. Our drinks came out after our starters had finished. The waiter George (Frenchman) was extremely rude and arrogant and very inappropriate. He made sexual jokes dispite being told it was highly inappropriate. He later made jokes of financialStanding based on clothing brands worn..again sarcastically. This felt extremely personal and highly unnecessary. Another employee at steakout name unknown, came to our table 3 times and tried to pick up our unfinished food simply because we put our forks down to have a chat (bare in mind I had half a steak left l...was she blind? Who knws... let’s ask curious George). Overall, replacement employees are needed in order to improve customerService.

We visited with a large group of 36 people. We booked in advance and everything was according arrangements.

First time to eat at this Restaurant went with a few friends for a steak night out and found the place very good food was Excelente and very good staff

Went to Steakout on a Friday evening, surprisingly it was full and there was a queue. We were quickly seated and were given menu’s. The menu choice was impressive and comprehensive. It was clear and concise and was impressed with the clarity in showing the styles of how the steaks are cooked. We ordered Fillet 200g with peppercorn sauce Steakout style. Food was good, the steak was cooked as I liked it and service was attentive. Good Reliable Steak restaurant in Slough. Recommended.

This was my first time at Steakout, i was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. My filet mignon was tender, the mash creamy and the mushroom sauce was lovely, i had a mojito too. The steak was packed with flavour, i would recommend this place. I was served by Jay he was great, attentive and friendly

Try their mix of buffalo wings....delicious. good variety of steaks and decently priced. Fast and efficient service.

Great food that comes with plenty of fried onion, you must try the delicious mushroom sauce. Go there atleast 3 times a month.The only thing that stops it being excellent is sometimes the music is really really loud

What can you say about Stakeout? The food can be a hit or a miss.. The staff failed to tell us their card system is offline, and they were cash only. Only when it came to paying our bill, that is when we were told to “walk to the cask point”We ordered the lamb ribs platter, then we were told they only have one portion left it’s 7pm not 11... aAlso the food come “warm” not hot, as it should be! Feels like the kitchen have a timing issue with their service. This place could be a real gem but fails on basic things like cold food, out of stock items, and uncomfortable seating.

Food was ok nothing special. After all the hype I expected a little more. However waiting time wasn’t bad and the mocktails were good.

Food was delicious and one member of staff made the day (Ion) very welcoming and caring! Definitely recommend this place as the stake is divine.

Had dinner here last night after a period of absence. Very quick service and healthy sized lamb steak cooked medium to near perfection! Served by the super sweet Hina who even saw to a lovely birthday sweet treat on the House! Was a very cool touch to what is increasingly becoming the steak house of choice for those travelling through the area.Keep up the good work guys. Thanks!

Been here a few times for lunch and dinner. Larger the group the staff and kitchen tend to get muddled. The most annoying part is they are unable to serve everyone's food simultaneously. So few get their food when others are half way through their meal.Having said this, prices are reasonable and quality of food is good. At least what we have tried. Will continuing going there once in a while.Top tip: always ask them for deals that are on as well as if there is any discount going on - they won't volunteer this information.

We came here for a quiet birthday meal for a friend. Misha who was serving us was very efficient as well as the other members of staff who helped. They realised it was my friends birthday as she was opening her gifts and then surprised us by presenting us with a waffle and ice cream and singing happy birthday. That was really thoughtful of them as we hadn’t asked them. This is nice to see as it shows that the staff are really friendly and want to give you a good dining experience. Food was awesome too. Thank you

Went to this stakeout restaurant in slough. A cosy relaxing very spacious. The staffs were welcoming, I was served by a waitress called SAV. Very friendly and professional. I was given good service and enjoyed my meal. The food was great. And the selection of steaks were mouth-watering. I highly recommend this place.

Great food and service. Dee never fails to impress us. We come from out of town and make a special visit for impromptu dinners. Any mishaps are quickly and efficiently rectified. Love the energy.

I initially asked for a rump to be informed the had none, I then went for sirloin and decided to go stakeout style as was advised it want spicy at all. What came was a thin flat iron type steak with a very spicy marinade, chewy and inedible, the mushroom sauce was mushrooms in what seemed to be uncooked cream. Credit to the waitress she whisked it away to replace with another plain steak, what came back very swiftly was an improvement but not much, still in spicy marinade that seemed hotter than the first between blue and rare but still a thin limp price of meat. The restraint gave a small reduction on the bill but still disappointed, should have gone to Nando’s

My rib eye steak was absolutely perfect! Soft and juicy, with perfect taste. There is non-alcoholic menu proposed with rich list of sweets and milk-shakes. It means that this place is very suitable for family visitors.

We got a couple of steakes and burgers at Stakout in Slough. The stake I had was excellent. The burgers that the others had all were great. Great location on Slough High st. Nice inside and good waiters etc. Highly recommended.

I had a T-bone steak and it was huge. I asked it to be medium and it was done perfectly. The sides of mushrooms and fries were perfect as well. Carameled onions and pepper sauce was excellent as well.
