GT Road Indian cusine in Slough

Decided to visit GT again as I really wanted a good curry and we are in the area. It’s Sunday evening and it pretty empty, so plenty of seating choices. Lamb chops were very good as starters and the chicken curry the waiter recommended was bang on . The Nan’s were very good not too thick or thin and perfect size plus they tasted great. Overall very enjoyable meal and no doubt will return in next in area

I visited with my wife and son on 23rd August 2024, in the afternoon. My son works near Heathrow from time to time and has had takeaways from here before so he suggested we visit. The restaurant is small but clean and tidy. The cutlery and crockery are nicely presented. We are all vegetarian so ordered malai kofta, gobi 65,paneer tikka masalla, jeera rice, chana masalla nan and tandoori roti The food was served pipping hot and fresh. The flavours are finger licking good and the service is second to non All in all a very good experience and next time I am in the area will visit again.

Had a great dinner last night, the food was good, service good. Had gobi Manchurian, tandoori prawn, and lamb chops for starter, lamb chops were overcooked but was soon rectified by waiter with fresh potion, main was chicken curry special, paneer tikka in masala ( the sauce was excellent) Drinks were reasonably priced Service from waiting staff was very good. Only negative thing is the front door as there’s no closed lobby and every time someone comes in and doesn’t shut the door you get cold air coming in , the staff did on many occasions close the door but it needs to be fixed as it electric sliding door and they haven’t repaired. Overall we had a nice and tasty meal .

A warm smile of staff greets you. Hostess Gagan and her colleagues make you feel welcome. Very knowledgable staff, helps recommend the dishes to your taste. A truly authentic Punjabi cuisine with Daal Makhni, Kadai Paneer and Special Chicken ordered with variety of bread basket. A truly exceptional experience.

Had a family party and they made it special .The food was good and the timings for delivery to table were great. Good clean linen napkins and clean cutlery was impressed Thanks to the team

A work colleague of Indian background herself recommended this restaurant for its authenticity and high quality cooking. I’m still in the middle of my dinner and am so impressed that I am already writing the opening paragraphs of this review. The basket of poppadoms I had were just right - fresh and crisp; but the minted yoghurt, mango chutney and spiced onions with which they were served are some of the best I have ever eaten. (I’m 62, have been eating Indian food all my life and am extremely fussy / that should tell you how much I enjoyed this opening salvo). Next up was a Chicken Tikka starter. So many restaurants just don’t bother to prepare a decent tikka dish. Not the chef at GT Road. The generously sized pieces of chicken were thick with a delicious marinade of ground spices and the chicken was cooked to perfection - moist, hot and falling-apart tender in the mouth. My main of Chicken Handi has just arrived and I need to pause! Oh, my goodness! The chicken pieces on the bone are as delightfully cooked as the pukka tikka. The sauce is awash with flavours - garlic in the lead, a decent strength of chillies and julienne strips of fresh ginger crowning the dish which backs the mouth-filling sauce brilliantly. The pearl basmati rice came steaming to the table, giving off a fine and delicate aroma, just begging to be coated with the beautiful Handi sauce. I am so glad my work friend, Daljit, recommended GT Road - it’s gone straight into my top 3 Indian restaurants of all time. It might even be dancing into the Number 1 spot to the Punjabi music playing over the speakers!

Location ain't great but if you put this aside, you:ll get fed & watered. A lot of local asian diners all seem happy chowing down in here. Waitresses friendly. Starters expensive. Alcohol reasonably fair prices for area. The mains are expensive for what one recieves. I had a fairly nice time, but, probably won't return.

Visited restaurant to celebrate my daughter formation. Went on recommendation. Yes nice restaurant, excellent food but a couple of basics on the menu missing. Prosecco and sweets requested are not in stock and these could’ve been bought from the local store if needed. I did let the waitresses know and hopefully this got back to the management. will definitely go again. Hopefully picture of you will be a five star

Duke go there... The cashier doesn't know how to treat the customers. Rude behaviour. He thinks he is the only one runs a restaurant there...crap. over priced.

THE BEST Panjabi food by far. Proper authentic tastes and flavours - does what it says on the tin. Jatka NON HALAAL I have four starred as the order management is lacking having to wait for orders for far too long. Our favourite Panjabi place forever as long as they don’t change the successful formula

We visited GT Road for lunch. We ordered vegetarian platter and paneer tikka for Starters and virgin mohito & lassi. We enjoyed the paneer tikka and the paneer in the platter. The bhajiya could have been better. The second round of drinks was on the house, big thanks to Menino Fernandes. He has been amazing right from the time we walked in. He would check on us everytime to see if we're comfortable and if we are enjoying the food. We liked the way he tried to create a personal connection. On figuring we were Goans, he also played some Goan songs, such a nice gesture. We enjoyed the prawn biryani the most and masala diet coke was a hit too. Would love to return mainly due to the service offered by Fernandes. He has been great!

Went with a friend who had been before and recommended the restaurant. Would never go again. My starter was described totally differently to another but the two meals turned up looking identical, one of them was wrong. My Chicken Bhuna was hopeless, little chicken and seemed the only spice used was chilli. My friend was also disappointed with her meal and asked the manager if there was a new chef, but was told he was on holiday. Can’t be right that you get give a bad meal and charged for a proper one cos of someone’s holiday

3 of us visited here last Friday night and amazed at quality and taste of starters and main. On level with renowned bar restaurants in Harrow and West Ealing. The taste is rich and almost Rajasthani in style - fit for a king 🤴.

The dips, starters, mains - all were excellent, such good flavours. Excellent setting with great details on walls. Service was good. Would recommend.

Came for lunch with my friends . We loved our food which were amazing with lots of flavour, I like Desi style Food and friendly staff .

Visited GT Road with my family. We had a pleasant experience and the food was fantastic! Would highly recommend it to all. The atmosphere and decor is very welcoming. Cannot wait to come back again 😃

Delivery was on time , food was hot and delicious specially the Non veg mix Grill Chicken Handi & Amritsari panner kadhai . Can't wait to Order Again . Manager of GT road is very help.
