The best restaurants serving Default food in Foxhills Runnymede South East

We had our first delivery of pastries from Wildflour Bakeries today; delivered first thing this morning for our team in our Chertsey office to enjoy for breakfast. The pastries were fresh, tasty and were very much enjoyed. The order and payment process has been a breeze too. So far, an excellent service received!

Always great food and fantastic staff.

Finally made a revisit to this restaurant with the intention of making a reappraisal of my previous visit that was only worthy of a 1 star rating in 2020. Our first problem was the Very limited and poorly detailed Menu.When we asked the waiter he could not clarify the spices contained in the dishes we were going to order. However we both had different meals off the Menu and to our pleasant surprise they were reasonably enjoyable. As for the Menu prices it must rate as one of the most expensive Indian Cuisine Restaurants for miles around. As you know the rest that follows will be equally steep in price like the small bowl of rice. For its price it should have been topped with shavings of pure Gold Leaf. The service was polite and reasonably professional. There was nothing to tempt us on the deserts apart from overpriced mass produced frozen pieces of low quality ice cream in plastic containers. So sorry to say we can only give one star to our honest review. I think it will be a long time till we decide to return to 3 Rooms . The décor is fine they just have to give some valid information on the Menu .and offer maybe some fresh fruit in high summer instead of buying from the local cash and carry to top up their freezer. Melons Mangos and Strawberries are plentiful and cheap this time of year. I'm sure a member of the kitchen staff could cut a Melon in half and present it on a plate. Just a thought.. ............................... THEN A REGRETTABLE REVISIT IN MAY 2023 But not of our choosing. Well this time the food was so bad that three members of our party had to send their food back as the sauce on their main course appeared to consist of 75% sugar so sweet it made you want to throw up. My main was O.K. but was as tasty as a Supermarket can of Chicken Curry and not to be recommended. The owner got involved and told us his brother cooked the dishes in question So what they are NOT edible. They were offered another dish . The sauces on two different dishes were the same I'm positive except for the added food colouring.. One was a yellow colour and the other was what I would call POST OFFICE RED but so sweet and sickly it was offensive. So 3 Rooms I eat Curry in many parts of the world but never like the dishes you serve in your establishment. Laugh at my comments if you wish but time will tell. I look forward to your comment.

Such a beautiful cafe with great food and drinks options. Great setting for a relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Went to celebrate my Birthday and 100% it was excellent and overall everything was great. The food, service, atmosphere was very impressive & Rachel our server provider was excellent, very friendly, professional and natural, thoroughly recommend.

Enjoyed the Sunday lunch. Pork rib, chips and salad. Service was excellent.

Myself and three friends had a wonderful afternoon tea at Foxhills. We would definitely book again and recommend to others everything was perfect .

Visited for a Sunday roast, after having roasts in other places over time. ( better service than some other chains) Wanted a no fuss roast dinner. Pub was quiet which was nice. Roast beef dinner was lovely, not a great deal of it and a little more roast potatoes who have been fantastic. Would eat there again. Janet

After lots of good visits we had an awful experience today. Probably won't go back. We got to the cafe just before 2pm. My sister's schnauzer sometimes barks (as dogs do especially schnauzers). She barks at people as she is a nervous dog but a very good dog and settles really quickly. I choose the cafe as well behaved dogs are welcome and we've been lots of times. Ñ As we went in Poppy barked. I got her to stop barking very quickly. We went around the corner and sat in the small side bit where we always sit right around up the small staircase and round to the left where Poppy will not see other people coming in or out. We were told we couldn't sit there are they were closing soon (2pm!!!), they put us right by the front door. I asked if we could sit in the corner as we wouldn't be long and Poppy may bark at people coming in. When some workmen came in Poppy barked and I was told if the dog didn't stop barking we would have to leave. It was delivered in a rude manner. We were going to leave as we were flabbergasted by the rudeness of the oldest member of staff, but we had already ordered. Whilst we were eating my friend who only had a hot drink wanted to get a flap jack but at 2.15pm they started putting all the cakes away. Then people kept arriving around 2.20ish until 2.30pm just before we let and they were all told no food was available only hot drinks. They lost so much business in that time and their sign says open until 3pm. As we left about 2 40pm, there were 2 ladies that were sat in the side section where we had asked to sit in....leaving at same time.as us, so there was absolutely no reason why we couldn't have sat there when we first arrived at 2pm. It was extremely unwelcoming, not by all staff as we did have a really nice waitress, apparently our dog was scaring one of the waitresses,Poppy is not a scary dog she is just a barky breed. As they didn't have anything we wanted to order from the menu they stood around us for longer than they needed to whilst we re chose what to have. It would have been handy to say we don't have this and we don't have that when they come over to take your order so you know before you start choosing. The Old School Cafe needs to update it's sign and say no food from 2.15pm only hot drinks and limited seating from 2pm as small side section is closed for cleaning. If I'd had known this I would have gone somewhere else. If this was my cafe I would want business still coming from 2pm to 2.30pm and the staff would tidy the cafe at 3pm once everyone had left. How can they justify closing of that small section at 2pm when there was a couple in there who left the same time we did. No common sense or courtesy I did say the dog would bark by the door. Dog owners be wary of this and maybe find somewhere a bit more welcoming especially if you come at 2pm thinking you have a whole hour to get some food. I had already apologised for the barking and was nothing but polite, the older lady staff member needs to speak to customers in a more friendly and polite way. If your dog sometimes barks then maybe the Old School cafe is not for you. Id go to Heathervale cafe or a nice local pub

Wanted a Chinise delivered and tried a different takeaway to my usual. What a surprise! Easy order - very polite and clear. Delivery earlier than advised. Cheaper than our normal. Food was better than the more expensive popular restaurant . The prawn toasts where be best we have ever had! If in Ottershaw or surrounding area, well worth a try.

Had lunch with friends, soft drinks are very expensive £3.50 for a glass bottle of coke, coffee is average price but when coffee arrived there was two thirds of forth, very little liquid to drink, had to ask for extra milk but when it returned it was a full cup. Food - scampi and chips looked nice but the baked/jacket potatoes were small for the price. One person had jacket with cheese but very little cheese on it, also they had melted the cheese in the bowl with the jacket in it, so the cheese was a bit greasy also as the cheese cooled it went like rubber Don’t think l would visit there again because not good value
