The food here was sensational from starter to dessert, Me and my friends were served by A very polite and very accommodating waitress named Nely. You get what you pay for here and I can't recommend Miler and Carter, Chesterfield enough.

Our Steak Expert, Nely, was very attentive despite it being a busy Mother's Day. She took our orders correctly and often returned to the table to check that food and drinks were ok. She was very pleasant and we would be very happy to be served by her in the future.

We booked a table for 5:30pm at Miller & Carter Ottershaw for a family birthday dinner, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Although the birthday girl has frequented the restaurant regularly over the years, this was my first time visiting. I was pleasantly surprised by the stylish decor and spacious, elegant seating arrangement. Our server, Ginny, was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and professional, she made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations throughout the evening. To start, we ordered the calamari and mushrooms, both of which were delicious and set the tone for what was to come. For mains, we indulged in the Black Angus steak fillet mignon with beef dripping, blue cheese wedge, and fries, complimented by a bottle of Chilean Merlot. Ginny suggested the camembert mash, and we were so glad we took her advice it was absolutely superb. The presentation of the dishes was flawless, and the food tasted even better than it looked. To top off the celebration, we were touched when a rich, indulgent brownie arrived with a candle for the birthday girl. A lovely personal touch that made the evening feel even more special. All in all, the service was prompt, the food was excellent, and Ginny’s warm and welcoming nature made our evening perfect. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Popped in as we couldn't find a place for sunday roast to the best suprise that they do sunday roast sharing boards! Sharing board came with ribeye steak, the most succulent lamb and with the softest chicken that fell off the bone. Camembert mash with beef gravy was delicious! Service as per any Miller & Carter was spot on! Only annoying thing was all the families with loud/crying kids, but that's expected during weekend lunchtime. 🤷🏼‍♀️

We have visited Miller & Carter several times for steaks and have always been happy with the food and service but decided to try their Sunday roast sharing platter yesterday. First the positives. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, the roast chicken and lamb were both tasty and the Yorkshire puddings and gravy were ok. Sadly the negatives outweigh the positives. Firstly we had to wait 55 minutes from ordering until the food arrived, the reason given was that we had asked for our lamb to be 'cooked through' rather than pink. The lamb was very small and could have been cooked through three times in that time. The rump steak was requested to be cooked medium but it was very underdone. I asked for it to be cooked a bit more and it was returned completely charcoaled. The three side dishes were more like garnishes than proper portions and were barely warm. The mixed green vegetables and carrots were swimming in the water they had been cooked in and had not been properly drained. The camembert mash had the consistency of putty with sliced cheese placed on top. the crispy potatoes were just small chunks of potato boiled and fried. They were actually tasty but there were not enough of them, and surely a real Sunday roast should have proper roast potatoes. At £67 for two roast dinners we expected better. There are many pubs in the area serving much better Sunday roasts at half the price and we were very disappointed.

Tonight was our second visit to Miller & Carter and it did not disappoint! We visited to celebrate our son’s 11th Birthday and we had a lovely evening! Jessy looked after us and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful evening. The birthday boy had great time, as did the rest of us! Thanks Jessy & team! We’ll certainly be back!

The food was so delicious, very quick coming out of the kitchen. Jesse was amazing and she was very friendly with us! 5️⃣⭐️

Unfortunately despite the nice table and great service, the food was a big disappointment. The Ribeye was tough (despite being cooked medium) did not look like a 16Oz (more 12Oz), the chunky chips were soggy (not fresh tasting at all)… so overall the meal fell well short of what my expectation was. Sorry to say that I don’t know if I will come back again.

1st visit 2+ years ago. 1 star review given. Horrendous experience! Miller and Carter was our favourite restaurant chain till our experience at this one. Not good full stop, too much to explain. Main issue was poor, extremely fatty meats and cold food apart from chips. 2nd visit 22/02/2025 Miller & Carter was our favourite restaurant and we regularly visited Rickmansworth and Ruislip, but upon moving to Woking 2 1/2 years ago we experienced our worst ever visit at the Chertsey branch, so much so that we have only now decided to try it again. Thankfully this time it was great, so we will start to visit again.

We had a lovely lunch at the Chertsey miller and carter today - the food was delicious, served hot and freshly cooked. we opted for the set lunch menu which was such good value for money and we left stuffed for just £17 each. Our server Jess was absolutley brilliant, very friendly and informative. She put us at ease and clearly enjoys her job, we chatted and laughed every time we interacted with her and she was very attentive. Couldn’t recommend this place enough - always tables available, free parking and in a great location. We love it here & will be back very soon!!

Arrived and was ignored by the young girl (possibly front of house) and guy (bar attendant) that were sat at the bar infront of the entrance to restaurant. We were then seated. We were served by a lovely waitress called Rachel. She was very attentive. My mum ordered a fillet steak medium, it came and smelt like faeces to be exact. It was very tainted. It definitely put my mum off, she was given another one. But again it wasn't the best steak that she's ever had at a miller. We have been to a few and she's normally very satisfied but to pay £35 for a 8oz steak which is awful is not what you want to be doing. Rachel was very good at sorting out all these issues. But will not be returning.

Nothing special like space and decor, but very tasty ribeye steaks, perfectly cooked and with delicious sauces. The salads are good, although the one with mustard and bacon is too hot. The mocktail completely indifferent. The mac & cheese very nice. Generally quite expensive. All the staff unsmiling and rude. Many times they didn't even speak. Very bad and rude behavior of staff. The sweets and the tiramisu which is supposed to be their specialty but also the banoffe is a failure. It wasn't even average. We recommend it only for its nice steaks. It definitely needs other staff, a little internal renewal and in the middle of the winter they don't have to be conditioned in the cold.
