This was my first visit to Ruchita, and I was pleasantly surprised! From the outside, it doesn’t look like much, but the interior is a different story. The restaurant boasts a lovely, inviting ambiance with tasteful decor. I was particularly charmed by the Indian floral drawings on the windows—a delightful touch. The place had a vibrant vibe, with a busy crowd of smiling, laughing guests adding to the warm atmosphere. The staff were exceptional, all incredibly helpful and friendly. Our server, Zara, stood out for her attentive and kind service. For food, we started with a sharer platter, and I couldn’t get enough of the chicken tikka and salad—the onion bhajis were equally amazing. The peshwari naan was a highlight, hands-down the best I’ve ever had, tasting incredibly fresh. My curry was decent, not the most memorable I’ve tasted, but perfectly fine for the price. Speaking of pricing, it was very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. My only small critique is that tablecloths would’ve elevated the experience, but it’s a minor quibble. Overall, I had a wonderful evening at Ruchita and would happily return if I were more local. Highly recommend!

Conveniently located Premier Inn, generally clean and good value for money. We stayed in room 108, which overlooked the back of the building—quiet and private, not overlooked by others. The bathroom could use a bit of maintenance, particularly around the tiles and seals, and there was no bath plug. Overall, a comfortable stay in a handy location.

I visited here last Friday and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food—each dish was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication. Eager to experience it again, I returned this evening, only to be disheartened by the limited selection of just two beverages on tap, which seemed particularly unorganised for a bank holiday weekend. This must be incredibly frustrating for the chef, whose dishes deserve a more supportive environment. It's evident that the culinary excellence is being undermined by a lack of organisation and attention to detail in the front-of-house. With improved service and a more comprehensive beverage offering, this pub has the potential to be a standout for the area. Ironic a pub without beer...

Starters very nice, but mains including chicken masala and jalfreizi contain serious amounts of garlic that overwhelm the dishes. Never had garlic in these dishes from any other restaurant. Shaslicks and chips over greasy. Wish the prices were cheaper and they just charged for delivery. Adding serious amounts of money onto the online prices just doesn't seem right as I am not talking just a few pence.
